Alert: Volcano eruption in La Palma could result in mega-tsunami

I have visited most of the Canary Islands, including La Palma, and also mainland Spain on numerous occasions. The islands are much more Catholic than the mainland, Masses are much better attended and the congregations are noticeably more pious. I noticed that Communion on the tongue seems to be the 'norm' in most churches on the islands. I attended Mass at one church on Tenerife in which there were two kneelers at the altar for reception and the congregation went up two by two, one took his/her place while the priest gave Communion to the person on the other kneeler and then reversed. It took no time at all even though only the priest was involved - no 'Extraordinary Ministers' and I don't recall ever seeing them involved in distribution on the islands at all. I don't know the figures but I would imagine that the Canary Islands are about as Catholic as it gets in Europe so why they should be suffering is a bit of a mystery to me.

It's fortunate that the British Isles have no volcanoes (which includes Ireland).

 

No coincidence that this eruption occurred on on the feast of Our Lady of Lasalette, and the location is so significant. This event is a wake up call from God. I hope Emmet is right and major chastisements are off in the future. I do think warnings like this will continue to increase in severity.

I wasn’t on much today. Please pray for my brother in law who is on oxygen hospitalized with Covid. My sister is trying to get the doc to prescribe ivermectin, but no luck. He is bad and getting worse…not yet on a ventilator, but probable.

I’m still worried about LaPalma…is everything ok today? I don’t have time to review everything. I’m trying to keep a eye on both problems!

 

I'd say forget la palma to be honest. Will keep your bro in law in prayer. Hope it doesn't escalate to ventilation. My Father is now 51 days in ICU hanging in there...just. he is extremely weak and at this stage if he pulls through we are talking many many months of physio etc. Not good.
So dont worry about volcanoes and tsunamis what good would it do?

 

Oh Beth I'm sorry to hear about your brother in law, praying for his recovery. So terribly frustrating that doctors are refusing to prescribe Ivermectin. Is your sister able to visit him in the hospital?

I’m reading through this right now, I have a quick question, I’ve been thinking about asking this for sometime but have been reluctant to because it seemed a bit off topic. Now I’m reading this description of the Canary Islands I want to now ask; is this connected to St. Brenden’s Island? St. Brenden’s Island is supposedly an Earthly Paradise discovered by said Saint, located to the west of the Canary Islands. It appeared on Medieval Maps even up to the time of Columbus. Even in the early modern period there have been accounts the Island appearing and being visible to the island of Hiero, the isle to the south of La Palma. The account of one of the islands in the book does resemble what one would imagine St. Brenden’s Island to be like; are there any blog entries on there that actually discuss St. Brenden’s Island?

Yes Malachi! My sister just texted that she’s on the phone praying with him now….he’s on the highest oxygen allowed.
I was watching the tsunami because my son is in the line of fire if it gets bad…. Too much worry for one day. Jesus, it’s yours tonight….I trust in You+++

Malachi, we’ve been wondering how your
father is doing. Will keep praying. A man in our church was in the hospital for 12 weeks with Covid and I think he’s doing really well now. God, please heal Beth’s brother in law and Malachi’s father.
I’m hoping to go to a healing Mass tomorrow evening with Adoration afterward. I will light candles for these two men.
