There are extremists on both sides. Nothing new about that. What happened here is that the power to bind and loose was used to loose. In many cases (far too many) the loosing was spun as binding. Nobody has the power to bind us to co-operating with evil, but all of a sudden remote co-operation was being promoted as a moral obligation. Evil is now good and people unwilling to co-operate with it are being persecuted, and Catholic institutions are all in on the persecution with their vaccine mandates. Things will get worse. That's to be expected because evil will always push hardest at the weakest link in the chain.

Well, I definitely re-stirred up the pot, didn't I! I just wanted to let you know I am at great peace this morning and have made a definitive decision to take the vaccine and continue to serve as a chaplain. Obedience to God through obedience to my Bishop. There are those, thank God, who are called to the apostolate of Justice, who refuse to take the jab, and resist concretely the building up of the Beast's kingdom. It can also be, of course, an expression of their loving commitment to family. But that last concern cuts both ways. The decisive word for my choice came through the writings of the Little Flower from a book I'm reading once more, Maurice & Therese. Apart from the Scripture, there is no other book I have frequented as much! Her words of affirmation and confirmation struck deeply this morning: In fact, when Jesus calls a person to lead...others to salvation, it is very necessary that He make him experience the trials and temptations of life. Since He has given you the grace to come out of the struggle victorious, [Terry], I hope that our kind Jesus will fulfill your great desires. I ask Him that you may become not only a good [chaplain] but a saint, all on fire with the love of God and of souls! Of course, in line with her great humility, Therese adds: "I beg you to obtain this same love for me, so that I may be able to help you in your apostolic work." In addition, I was led to pull out a 7-day novena to St. Joseph. The prayer on Day 5 reads as follows: 5. St. JOSEPH, by your SORROW when told to fly into Egypt, and by your JOY in seeing the idols overthrown at the arrival of the living God, grant that no idol of earthly affection may any longer occupy our hearts, but being like you entirely devoted to the service of Jesus and Mary, we may live and happily die for them alone. Likewise, may all of us who have been chosen by God to live in the midst of today's Egypt: God grant that no idol of earthly affection may any longer occupy our hearts, but being like [Joseph] entirely devoted to the service of Jesus and Mary, we may live and happily die for them alone.
You arrived at your decision after much prayer and reflection. That's what we all should do. Pots will never be short of stirrers. May the Lord continue to bless you in your ministry.

with the wild swing of your decision in 48 hours I would suggest you lay it down for the next week and undertake daily adoration and daily rosaries asking the Holy Spirit to guide you to His will, then decide
It is OK, FP. It was great that Geralyn's research helped bring things to a head two evenings ago. JoeJerk likes playing with my emotions, but he never learns, and usually overplays the "take care of yourself" card. In fact, when he does so (as he did this time), God's Will becomes clearer. Here's an interesting fact from the book, Maurice and Therese, which I cited above. Modernism was making inroads in the West at the end of the 19th century, which is why Pius X was so resolute against Modernism a few years afterwards. However, there was no dearth of vocations back then. Here's an amazing quote from the book relating to the number of vocations in France back then when France's total population was about 40 million. The Foreign Missionary Society of Paris, in and of itself, had 330 seminarians enter it's ranks that year! That doesn't include the other French missionary societies or even diocesan seminarians! Compare that with total graduate level seminarians in the USA in 2015 when our population was about 300 million: 3,650. In my own Diocese of Syracuse, there are now more active permanent deacons (about 110) than active priests! Though you might say I'm comparing apples to oranges, it is clear that the Church in the USA is decimated. So it is not unreasonable to see that the loss of chaplaincy services which my refusing the shot would cause leaves a vulnerable group of local Catholics without access to not only Holy Mass, but also Holy Communion, and bedside presence at death. Is there risk for me in taking the shot? Absolutely! But numbers have to be an integral part of my discernment! God's people need clergy! I believe it is God's Will to be included in the active clergy statistic! What appears to you to be a wild swing was just the finale to a longer period of discernment. I do appreciate your heartfelt concern! Love you, brother!

Just a very Important update on using Neem I assume the supplements are fine but using Neem oil or strong doses like any drug should be avoided, I also note that Neem is a very effective contraceptive in Male reproduction so maybe best not to take it if planning to start a family..
