I’m hoping this is actually a “good” sign that this update was not suppressed by MSM. The fact that it’s publicly in Washington Post is remarkable. I wonder if Twitter, FB, abs these other social media mammoths will apologize and reinstate docs and others they banned for providing the same warnings months ago. (I will not hold my breath ) ;)

    BBC report today... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-58278998

Covid-19: Northern Ireland records highest number of cases in a single day

Northern Ireland has recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in a single day since the pandemic began.

On Friday, the Department of Health reported 2,397 further cases and nine further coronavirus-related deaths.

It comes as doctors warn lives could be lost to other conditions such as cancer due to staff being diverted to treat coronavirus patients.

A critical care consultant said dealing with the virus was as difficult now as at any time during the pandemic.

Dr George Gardiner told the BBC's Good Morning Ulster programme that continuing to carry out surgery while admitting Covid-19 patients to intensive care was a "huge ask" for staff.

"What's different this time is that we haven't switched off all the other essential services that hospitals in Northern Ireland provide," he said.

"We've kept cancer surgeries, we've kept urgent procedures, we've kept going for as long as possible - we really are at the edge of what we can achieve now.

"For every patient who is admitted with Covid, who hasn't had a vaccine, that's another bed lost for patients who need urgent cancer surgery.

"We only have so many nurses to run intensive care units."

The level of people testing positive for coronavirus has been increasing in Norther Ireland over the past few weeks.

Figures show Northern Ireland has the highest infection rate in the UK and the lowest rate of vaccinations for people aged over 16 in the UK.

Health Minister Robin Swann said the latest Covid-19 figures were "deeply concerning, both in terms of deaths and new cases".

"The Delta variant is taking its toll on Northern Ireland and it is vital that as many of our citizens as possible are vaccinated," he added.

A total of 184,172 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Northern Ireland since the start of the pandemic.

Other figures showed Covid-19 was recorded on the death certificates of 40 people in the week up until 13 August.

Northern Ireland's statistics agency Nisra has now recorded 3,086 deaths associated with the virus.

On Thursday, Health Minister Robin Swann said the number of people being admitted to hospital with Covid-19 would be cut by half if another 5% of adults in Northern Ireland were vaccinated.

About 70% of people with Covid-19 who are in hospital intensive care units (ICUs) have not been vaccinated, he confirmed.

About 86% of adults in Northern Ireland have had at least one jab for Covid-19.

A consultant at Altnagelvin Hospital's emergency department said staff there are worried about the winter ahead.

Dr Sandy Nelson said many problems facing the health service would undoubtedly have been compounded by the pandemic.

"The pressures of having to treat Covid and non-Covid patients in the same department is increasing and putting a lot of strain on our staff," he said.

"Our department is split into different areas trying to treat patients with possible Covid symptoms and we are seeing an awful lot of young people presenting with Covid symptoms."

The death rate as calculated by Nisra continues to rise, following a general downward trend for many months in the run up to the summer.

It has emerged that a serving prison officer has died with Covid-19, after what the prison service said was a "short battle" with the virus. He was the first prison Officer in Northern Ireland to die with Covid-19.

Northern Ireland's chief scientific officer Prof Ian Young said the number of people dying with Covid-19 is not likely to hit a peak for a couple of weeks

Nisra's figures are higher than the Department of Health statistics because it records mentions of the virus on death certificates, where it may or may not have been confirmed by a test, while the department's figure is based on a positive test result being recorded.

The infection rate in Northern Ireland is much higher than in the rest of the UK and the Republic of Ireland, with almost 10,500 positive cases in the past seven days. Of these cases, 65% have been people aged under 40.

Prof Young said it was "highly likely" the number of deaths would continue to rise in the short term.

He told BBC News NI the number of people in Northern Ireland who remained unvaccinated was driving Covid-19 cases up and putting unnecessary pressure on the health service.

"Unfortunately, even the double vaccinated, particularly the elderly and more vulnerable, can become severely ill," he said.

"The fact that older people are still getting the virus is a consequence of the proportion of younger people who are not getting vaccinated."

Prof Young said cases must be reduced to ease pressure on hospitals and described the upcoming Big Jab Weekend incentive as "critical".

Mass vaccination centres will be offering walk-in first jabs for all adult age groups on 21 and 22 August.

No more first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine will be offered at regional vaccination centres after Sunday.

Clinical lead vaccinator Tanya Daly appealed for people to come forward.

"If you don't get vaccinated you could end up in hospital which will impact on you for weeks and perhaps months to come," she said.

"My colleagues, my friends, have been redeployed to areas where they can't do their normal jobs.

"If you want an outpatient appointment who's going to be there to greet you at the door? Who's going to check your blood pressure? Who's going to be there to help the doctors to their job?

    "Nobody, because they've been redeployed."

The Western Trust said it was aiming to vaccinate more than 2,000 people this weekend.

Garret Martin, who is the operation manager at the trust's three vaccination centres, called on younger people to "follow the science".

"It's important because the vaccine works, the vaccine saves lives, we know that is proven," Mr Martin told BBC Radio Foyle.

Yes heartbeat we are getting absolutely hammered by the media insisting us selfish no good un vaccinated lepers are the cause of this so called spike. But thier numbers don't add up 80% off the population vaccinated apparently and its the 20% who are causing this.. How much longer will the lies continue.. They won't tell us that double vaccinated account for most of the new cases no they would rather tell us that 70% in icu are unvaccanated?? So the other 30% don't count then me and the wife have decided to turn off the TV and social media as its mental torture.. God help us

I wonder John how could we find out the true figures?

The fact that they don't say the majority in hospital are unvaccinated strongly suggests the the majority in hospital are vaccinated.

One has to read between the lines. These people are deceitful and duplicitous.

The South African doctor who has dropped his recommendation for ivermectin (the owner of the document linked in my previous post) includes prednisone in his protocol for the second week of treatment.

Another doctor, Dr. Syed Haider, a telemed doctor in the US, talked about using steroids when he was a guest on Dr. Mobeen's show. You might find helpful the video of Dr. Mobeen's discussion with Dr. haider, and this page on Dr. Haider's website with some info about various drugs being used to treat covid: https://drsyedhaider.com/covid-19/covid-care-beyond-ivm-and-hcq.

Dr. Haider has a free chat option on his website where people can submit questions. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer because he also has a notice saying that he's inundated and trying to hire staff to help him.

I'm beginning to feel like a Dr. Mobeen groupie with all the links I post to his YouTube channel. It's because he has discussions with so many doctors who are treating covid patients and aren't afraid to talk about it.

How will we ever know the truth Bobby we have four different departments ie four different trust north south east and west even if those trusts are honest in thier reporting all the info is fed into one department called the health ministers stormont office even if he told the truth or lied there is no transparency in that info because each trust doesn't know other trusts data..:rolleyes:

Conclusions from a large study in the UK are that herd immunity is impossible and the solution is universal vaccination. The study showed that

    the vaccinated and unvaccinated shed the virus equally when infected;

vaccines provide protection against serious symptoms

vaccine efficacy declines after 4 or 5 month, requiring booster to maintain strong protection

It was a large study of about 400,000 people.

Given the conclusion that the solution is universal vaccination, it looks like mandatory vaccination is coming.

Yes. I expect so. If their study is rigorously checked and found true and not part of the "narrative." But what of natural immunity? Does that fade too in 6 months?

The study was very thorough. Dr. Mobeen has a video on it. I'm not sure whether the duration of natural immunity was part of their conclusions. Dr. Mobeen doesn't distinguish between natural immunity and immunity from vaccines. He believes that immunity from antibodies wanes but that the body's B cells retain a memory of the virus and activate the T cells to create more antibodies in the event of reinfection. He focused more on the need for booster shots. He says that booster shots after 4 or 5 months would maintain a high level of antibodies but he doesn't believe they are necessary other than for vulnerable people like the elderly and those with co-morbidities. Everyone else should be able to withstand the effects of the virus in the period between contracting the virus and the T cells making antibodies.

There was lots more in the study, more than my levels of concentration could handle.

There's a strain of the virus in Brazil that may be more severe than Delta. It doesn't have a name from the Greek alphabet so may be a variant of a variant rather than a totally new strain. I think it is known as P1 or P2. He said that he had been speaking to Dr. Kory and is hoping to have Dr. Kory and a Brazilian doctor on his show next week to discuss that and the methods used in Brazil to treat Delta.

Perhaps herd immunity is impossible due to the vaccine itself. If no one was vaccinated maybe the pandemic would have followed a natural course like the 1918 pandemic, and eventually burned itself out. I don’t know. (n) I am inclined to believe natural immunity would provide better and longer protection from the virus. A vaccine that may only be effective for a few months, and will likely require multiple boosters does not inspire much confidence especially when you consider both known and unknown health risks associated with the jabs.

I don't really know but I'm inclined to think that you are right. Both the vaccinated and unvaccinated can shed the virus. I think the report concluded that there is no difference in the viral load, making both sets of people equally contagious when they contract the virus. The virus replicates itself in the host and can mutate as it replicates and continue to mutate as it spreads from person to person. If the vaccines don't kill the virus or prevent it replicating itself and mutating, or somehow prevent the virus spreading from person to person, it seems to me that the vaccines are not much different than a therapeutic drug.

This neurologist provides details on immunity types which may explain what is going on. He asserts that those with natural immunity who remain unvaccinated are less likely to spread it. Yet, no coverage nor in depth study on this despite increasing evidence of the protections associated with natural immunity. Frustrating and maddening.

Do you know whether a vaccinated person who contracts the virus can develop mucosal immunity?

It’s a great question. Wouldn’t you think our scientific and government leaders would want to explore that and get data. It would be a game changer in many ways. There appears to be very very little interest in understanding natural immunity.

The thing they were trying to prevent with this slew of "vaccines" was the huge loss of life that occurred in 1918. The first wave was devastating. The second wave was worse. A whole lot of people died. Covid was shaping up to go the same route. There was real fear 2 years ago that all our medical systems would cave under the onslaught. Thus the draconian lockdowns and subsequent experimental vaccines. All countries except perhaps China were flying blind. The terrible side effects and deaths for those who got the vaccine are a tragedy but a doctor friend of mine cited statistics from thd initial small pox vaccine and even the polio vax. The difference is that no one talked about them. The diseases were so lethal that the vaccines were welcomed with open arms. I am not here to defend the weird censorship and lack of debate. Big tech seems determined to silence all those who raise questions but covid is a devastating disease. If it doesn't kill it can leave terrible long lasting side effects. I just think some balance is needed. The vaccines are not 100 percent all bad all the time. And those who choose not to get the jab are not 100 percent all bad all the time. Wonderful doctors of great integrity and clinical experience are making the case on both sides of the debate. This need on both sides of the issue to demonize the opposition is very troubling to me.
