HH…I may be wrong here, and if anyone here knows better, feel free to disagree….but Snopes is a liberal site and I’ve always been told by people that I respected that they are bias. I’ve no idea if they are right or writing here, but I’m just throwing out a caution to be suspect of them….

Totally bizarre what is going on. The news media in our area is telling everyone the hospitals are not accepting any more patients due to rampant covid. But a local FB poster said they went to ER this a.m. With her husband with kidney stones and it was empty. What gives?
They laid off all their nurses or other staff during Covid and now they’re not able to take even the current small surge in Covid patients, most of whom were already vaxxed. Don’t believe this news media blitz. It’s just more propaganda.

I think if that happened and those providers became popular, then the state would step down on them very hard by revoking their licenses to practice, and/or the insurance companies would either decline to offer them coverage or raise the prices on their premiums to be unaffordable.
Unfortunately I could see this happening, they would run them right out of town. What a horrible situation.
I think it's inaccurate reporting by the media. I'll wager that the hospitals are not accepting any more COVID patients, since the wards set up for them are full, but other patients, such as kidney stone, heart problems, etc. are being accepted. It's a small bit of spin, but necessary for the media to keep up the fear. And remember: people will read that one person's FB post and become confused, because the media (which in the US has been trusted for decades) is saying one thing but the people around them are saying something else. This FUD factor (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) will eventually push people back into the arms of the mass media, since they are a devil they know.
