Here in TX, several summers ago we had many days in a row of temps in the 110's. And that was true temp, not heat index!

Firefighters evacuated homes in the early hours of Wednesday morning after a fire at a historic church in Partick.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend the blaze at St Simon’s Church on Bridge Street.
The historic church is Glasgow’s third oldest Catholic Church and pictures of the fire across social media show the severity of the fire, with one video showing the roof collapsing into the flames.

More than 30 firefighters were sent to tackle the blaze and nearby properties were evacuated as a precaution while crews dealt with the incident.

Thank you, I just deleted that post before your posting, I thought, well compared to this in Scotland, that's a minor story but at least, now, it's somewhat preserved.

I really must pay attention to a whole posting before coming to a judgement.

Saw your post and thought oh for Pete’s sakes! What now? Turkeys? What’s going on with the turkeys?!?

Course the video sobered me up pretty quickly. I’m definitely blessed that While times and things are difficult - SO FAR, the weather has not infringed too badly on me. Of which I am very grateful :)

Thank God the worst is over with this extreme cold, the lows have averaged -3° since Tuesday in the town where I live in southern Santa Cararina, however as of this Saturday the temperatures begin to rise There was a forecast of a thermal sensation of 25 degrees below zero for regions with altitudes above 1800 meters; fortunately this did not materialize
