Fr Ripperger has a talk on you tube through sensus fidellium just posted. "Catholic Buzzwords" is the title I think. As everyone knows he is a Thomist and can cut through confusions about obedience and authority and papal actions. Very eye opening. Candid and straight shooting. I must listen to it again. I was half asleep and probably missed some key points. But it resolved some things for me at least.
Forgive me, I must be going out of my mind. There is a recurring theme that keeps entering my mind, even while praying the rosary or during quiet contemplation: Satan is hosting a theatrical play, it’s a parody on the current Church. His minions are cast and dressed as the Spanish Inquisition, they are holding court, the accused are charged with the crime of attending an Extraordinary Mass, they are sent to re-education camps where they will be subjected to attend a Clown Mass, all in the name of inclusiveness. There is a man in the gallery dressed in white, comfortably seated in the VIP section, gleefully watching, sipping on some Oban Single Malt Scotch. Please forgive me for having these thoughts, maybe by sharing them with you they will go away.
Fr. Chad Ripperger talked a bit about St. Luke’s and how, “someone should write a book about that.” What information do we have on St. Luke’s and other Luciferian facilities like it? What kind of brainwashing tactics and the like are involved, and do you think they could ever come for us?
I just saw Father Ripperger on YouTube, he gave the best explanation I ever heard on the subject of speaking in tongues.
Our TLM today had more people than I've ever seen there today. The church and the overflow seating in the parish hall were full. My best friend texted me today to tell me her husband went to a TLM today for the first time (it was at 6:30am, so she didn't take the kids). I think this whole thing is going to turn out with vastly different results than Pope Francis envisioned. My prayer is that we remain respectful and obedient to the Church, and that our bishops pray for God's grace and help with how to proceed over the next few months/years. We must obey our bishops, as they try to do the right thing, even if that means some things change in ways we don't like. And above all, we MUST not go into schism.
Yes, we have to wait on the Lord, always. We must continue to pray for our priests and our bishops. Good post.
I agree with you. We need to be obedient to the Magisterium of the Church. I was in a Latin Rite group and was upset when some were saying that the Eucharist in a "New" Mass is not a valid consecration. This is a demonic and evil thing to say. I believe those people are the rigid that I can somewhat understand Pope Francis' frustration with them.
I thought today’s Epistle was very appropriate this week. And as PF says, we can’t schism- we need unity. Just as St. Paul said here - we are one in Christ. And we are to be at peace. Through this craziness, darkness, confusion- we all preach AND live Christ Crucified. Not easy but necessary for Resurrection! Courage ! Alleluia! Reading II Eph 2:13-18 Brothers and sisters: In Christ Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, he who made both one and broke down the dividing wall of enmity, through his flesh, abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims, that he might create in himself one new person in place of the two, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile both with God, in one body, through the cross, putting that enmity to death by it. He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. Alleluia
A slightly different perspective with interesting comments at the end concerning potential ways to respond if you're a Traditionalist. Lord have Mercy!
Episcopal priests in the USA did "Clown Mass" 15 or so years ago. I was Protestant then, briefly attended that denom. I couldn't believe it. Literally dressed up as clowns during. I didn't personally see this.
I am all for obedience, PF. But if you read the text carefully, even in dioceses like my own where the Bishop is supportive, the directives place ultimate approval of future priests gaining permission to celebrate the TLM in the hands of the Vatican. This presents a crossroads given the current Vatican's dislike of Traditionalists. It appears the long range goal is to put up roadblocks difficult to circumvent that will lead to the demise of the TLM in a relatively short period of time. Whom will outlast whom? I personally believe that though the continuance of the TLM is dependent on Rome, the Lord's Will is for it to continue. Jesus, we trust in you!
Same, here, I thought this Sunday I had never seen so many people at Holy Mass in our chapel (Traditional Latin Mass chapel). We arrived late, due to my slack , and we could not find any seating, nor a proper place to stand without getting in people's ways all the time. It was awesome. The priest said in his homily that persecution for faith in the Lord has begun to come to us, and that we should be glad and rejoice for this reason (a reference to the Beatitudes).
Good post I focused on the reading from the Old Testament where God was not happy with the shepherds. !
Yes. That first reading was like a blowing of the shofar. The timing was as significant as the lightning over St Peter's when BXVI resigned.
Agree. The timing of this reading this week is no doubt not a coincidence! And yes, the shepherds do need to pay attention. But, I found great encouragement in these verses: “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock from all the lands to which I have driven them and bring them back to their meadow; there they shall increase and multiply. I will appoint shepherds for them who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear and tremble; and none shall be missing, says the LORD.” I pray I’m part of the remnant. And notice it’s God in charge- he drove the remnant to the lands and He will call them back. So as much as we may be concerned on what appears to be the world and the powers to be being in charge- they are not! God has all of this in His Hands. It will be well.
Excellent and encouraging post! Jesus, I trust in You. Take care of everything. My pastor said that when he was in Israel, the shepherds had a way of calling their flock. He said there might be 200 sheep in a pasture, but when the shepherd called, the fifty sheep in His flock were the only ones who responded to his call. Same with the other shepherds. He said the sheep had a relationship with their shepherd. Yes, you are one of the remnant.
