Well won't Jimmy be surprised when the Warning & Miracle happen. Maybe the Warning has alittle something special for those who fought so hard against Mary & her words.
ACTS 5 :39 “But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. “

    Three Bewildered Visitors
David Toribio was one of the young men that protected the girls when the apparitions in San Sebastián de Garabandal began. A few days ago he made me think about something that I had never realized, and it is how the neighbors from Cosío helped the uncountable pilgrims that would go up every day to Garabandal. David says that someday homage should paid to all those men and women, who without attracting attention, helped the visitors in their “adventure” up to the town of the apparitions.
At that time, the paved road only reached Cosío. After that there was a steep and frequently impassable road that led up to Garabandal. It was so bad that delivery trucks would not go up to the “Jormazu” landing where Garabandal was situated. The town’s tavern owners had to use donkeys to bring up supplies from Cosío for every family.
A man named Leoncio, the town mayor of Cosío, was very attentive to the pilgrims. When visitors did not dare to go up the road alone for fear of getting lost on the mountain, Leoncio would call some of the town’s children and, giving them a small tip, ask them to accompany the people to Garabandal.
A woman from Cosío, who was the same age as the girls (visionaries), remembers being a guide for three men from out of town one day. Leoncio called her with two or three other children and he gave them fifty “pesetas.” He reminded them (as he always did) how they were to behave. They had to be discreet and not get into the adults’ conversations. If the pilgrims needed to sit down and rest, they should let them sit in the shade. They should then sit about twenty yards away so that the visitors could speak calmly amongst themselves. After arriving in Garabandal, they had to indicate who the visionaries were, tell them their names, show them where they lived, and then wait to return to Cosío with the visitors.
After listening to all of this, the three children led the three men up the road. The men were very ill-disposed [towards Garbandal], and did not hide their intentions. On the contrary, they outwardly manifested them. They were convinced that Garabandal was a farce and the purpose of their trip was to clarify things and reveal the truth. The children were astonished by this, but did not enter into their conversation. When they reached Garabandal, the children pointed out where the girls lived. Later, they went to spend their fifty “pesetas” and to have a good time while they waited for the three gentlemen to finish their “undertaking.”
The surprising part was when these men called the children to take them back to Cosío. One of the children observed them with curiosity. The same men that had talked the whole way up, panting and wheezing in the ascent, seemed to be mute now. What had they seen in Garabandal to cause such a change in them? The thing is that their plans to destroy Garabandal had disappeared. They were bewildered and walked separately, as if they did not know each other. They were so lost in their thoughts that they didn’t even watch where they were going and went tripping the whole way down. It was obvious that what they had seen and experience had taken away all their desires to “put an end” to Garabandal. They got into their car without even saying good-bye to their young guides, and left very quickly.
I hope that once at home they were able to sincerely reflect on their experience, and later, were able to return to Garabandal to live, with a better disposition, another day with Our Lady.

    Hello, I am new here!
Refferring to the Great Miracle Day, I wanted to comment that the idea that it could be Saint Hermenegildo is not unreasonable, since there is a famous book by Sor Juana Inés de La Cruz called “El Mártir Del Sacramento” (referring to the Eucharist). That is, for me, the DETAIL that Conchita believed that it made him a martyr of the Eucharist!

Welcome Clau, Several possible problems with St. Hermenegild, who by some accounts was Spanish, and Conchita said the martyr saint was not Spanish. We have no idea how old he was, though he was a grown, married man leading a revolt, so it would not have been clear to her that this was "a young martyr of the Eucharist" (LIKE TEEN AGE OR YOUNGER ) and also he does not fit the description Conchita gave after she consulted the calendar in her home.

You have to read every book written before making that claim, not so fast ,lol.

On a day in September of 1963, some French people were invited to eat dinner with Conchita in a house near the girl's home. She was devouring pastries with the healthy appetite of girls of her age. Someone jokingly asked her about the sacrifices and penance mentioned in the message. Conchita accepted the joke in good humor and laughed. But suddenly she became quiet and seemed to concentrate; her face lit up; and with her hands joined on her chest, she began to speak:
“The Miracle will be on the feastday of a young martyr of the Eucharist, a boy who carried Communion to persecuted Christians. His companions, on seeing him pass by, wanted to force him to stay and take part in their games. Infuriated by his resistance, they ended up hurling stones at him until he was left almost dead. Later a Christian soldier came, who recognized him and carried him in his arms.”
One of those present exclaimed: Oh, that's St. Tarcisius!"

Conchita, without saying a word, as if she hadn't heard, turned back to her pastries.
After dinner ended and Conchita had left, those at the table exchanged their impressions. The oldest in the group concluded: It seems that Conchita saw this scene in an ecstasy, but without understanding what martyr it was. I don't think she even knows his name. (L'Etoile dans la Montagne)

“ She Went in Haste to the Mountain" Book 3,Chapter 7,

The problem with Saint Tarcisius is his feast day is August 15. April 26,neither falls between April 8-16.

St. Hermenegild was technically a Visigoth not a Spaniard.

    Saint Hermenegild or Ermengild (died 13 April 585;
Spanish: San Hermenegildo; Latin: Hermenegildus, from Gothic *Airmana-gild, "immense tribute"), was the son of king Liuvigild of the Visigothic Kingdom in the Iberian Peninsula and southern France. He fell out with his father in 579, then revolted the following year. During his rebellion, he converted from Arianism to Chalcedonian Christianity. Hermenegild was defeated in 584 and exiled. His death was later celebrated as a martyrdom due to his later imprisonment in Tarragona or Toledo. During his captivity in the tower of Seville, an Arian bishop was sent to Hermenegild for Easter but he would not accept the Eucharist from him. King Liuvigild ordered him beheaded; he was executed on 13 April 585.

Since St Tarcisius's feast day is April 26 (via the Church calendar of early 60's), St. Hermenegild is the best we got.

Another point is that April 13 would be a very good tie in with Fatima. Fatima on the 13th of each month, Sister Lucia died on February 13. Miracle April 13. Nice match I would say. It would show pretty conclusively that Fatima and Garabandal are connected.

The Bishop of Santander after the Miracle will see this connection easily. A no brainer.

Interesting that St Tarcisius' feast day is on the same day as the Feast of the Assumption, August 15

Offer your entire day to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

    By saying your morning offering...

Oh Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary and in Union with all the Masses said throughout the world today, I offer up all, my thoughts, words , prayers, actions, Joys, sufferings, sorrows and distresses of this day in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate heart of Mary, for my sins and the sins of the whole world. Amen

This above prayer covers all our emotions in our day! We can therefore add to this prayer each day by saying the rosary, the seven sorrows rosary, the litany to our lady, the litany to St Joseph and of course by saying the prayers to Saint Michael, to Mary the Holy Queen of of Angels. to St joseph and so many many more prayers and the Lord will lead us to these prayers.

I tell my children just say three Hail Marys daily and she will intercede for you and lead you in prayer.

Penance today requires us to just live our state in life faithfully! any extra penances God requires of us will be given when we do these most simple things faithfully! So do not fear!

God Knows you and He knows where you are at this moment in your spiritual life! He Loves you now and wants to lead you to fullness of life, He will lead you.

He is your loving Father, who gives real bread, when you ask for bread, He does not give a stone or a scorpion!

His Love is immeasurable, Trust Him even in your darkest moments, He will lead you out of darkness!

My prayers are with all who are looking for God's Fatherly love at this moment.
May His embrace fill you with consolation and His Love give you wings to fly above the confines of your current life. Amen

SAINT (Pope) John Paul II - on Garabandal

There is a book on Garabandal, written by Albrecht Weber in 1993, entitled Garabandal Der Zeigefmger Gottes (Garabandal: The Finger of God), of which a first edition copy was presented to Pope John Paul II. He later asked his secretary, Fr. (now Archbishop) Stanislaus Dziwisz, to write to the author. In the subsequent printing (2000) of the book, on page 19, a portion of the Pope's message is reprinted, as follows:"May God reward you for everything. Especially for the deep love with which you are making the events connected with Garabandal more widely known. May the Message of the Mother of God find an entrance into hearts before it is too late. As an expression of joy and gratitude, the Holy Father gives you his apostolic blessing."Weber writes, "From the attached greeting in the Pope's own handwriting, with his signature, it is clear how deep an interest he has in the events of Garabandal, and how anxious he is that they should be made known in a credible way."

On July 23, 1988, during a special general audience with the Pope at the Vatican ... "special" because it was held on Saturday, rather than the usual Wednesday... Father Robert introduced Garabandal Visionary Mari-Loli and family to him. Father Robert who was holding 7 year old Maria Dolores, one of the three Lafleur children, said to the Pope: "Your Holiness, a special blessing for your littlest children who come on behalf of The Blessed Virgin from Garabandal." Our Holy Father exclaimed "Garabandal!"

    Wow!!

I had no idea! It's sixty years since the start of the Garabandal Apparitions!

The Meaning of Numbers: The Number 60
Part of the meaning of the number 60 is derived from the fact that it is consider the threshold of when a person enters the last major phase of their life. The Apostle Paul warned Timothy that the church should not financially support widows less than sixty years old. This was because those who were younger were considered able to remarry or strong enough to support themselves (1Timothy 5:3 - 11).

Under the Old Covenant, a sixty year old male could redeem himself from a vow of serving the Lord by paying 15 shekels to the temple. A 60 year old woman could redeem herself from such a vow for only ten shekels (Leviticus 27:1 - 2, 7). This compares to younger adult males who had to pay fifty shekels while younger women paid thirty (verses 3 - 4).

Isaac, after his wife is healed of being barren, has his first two sons (Esau and Jacob) when he is 60 years old (Genesis 25:26).

Forty years since the start of the Apparitions in Medugorje!

The Meaning of Numbers: The Number 40

Mentioning 146 times in Scripture, the number 40 generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation. During Moses' life he lived forty years in Egypt and forty years in the desert before God selected him to lead his people out of slavery.

Moses was also on Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights, on two separate occasions (Exodus 24:18, 34:1 - 28), receiving God's laws. He also sent spies, for forty days, to investigate the land God promised the Israelites as an inheritance (Numbers 13:25, 14:34).

The prophet Jonah powerfully warned ancient Nineveh, for forty days, that its destruction would come because of its many sins. The prophet Ezekiel laid on His right side for 40 days to symbolize Judah's sins (Ezekiel 4:6).

There is certainly something just about to occur I believe, this cannot be a coincidence. It is a God incidence.

    Go God go! :):)

    • As Josephite has said the morning offering of yourself to Jesus through Mary is essential. Sr. Lucia of Fatima said:
In A Pathway Under the Gaze of Mary, we learn Sister Lucia wrote to the Bishop of Leiria what the Lord told her. “This is now the penance that our good Lord asks: The sacrifice that all people have to impose on themselves is to lead a life of righteousness in the observance of His Law, and to do this to make clear the way for souls, because many judge the meaning of the word penance in great austerity, they do not feel the strength and pleasure to do it and get discouraged in a life of weakness and sin.”

The Lord told her: The sacrifice of each one required is the fulfillment of their own duty and observance of My Law; it is Penance that is now demanded and asked.”

This article tells of the little sacrifices the children made.

In Mathew 6, Jesus lays it all out ending in:

33But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness,* and all these things will be given you besides.
34Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.

I am as well, as sure as I can be of anything, and it's not my intellect trying to figure things out but that little voice that says "now".

Something wicked this way comes and events are ready to break out over the coming months and soon we'll all know where we are. But most importantly do not fear, God has a plan led by our Blessed Mother :)
