Not very likely. Francis is 84 years old now, which means he will be around 101 in 2038; and Benedict XVI is 94 years old now -- he'd be 111 then. Still, you never know ...
I have a feeling that there will be a calendar change which will bring about these prophesied dates earlier than we think.
I think one insight a saint shared one time about the course of events is this. We take it for granted, most of us, that the fact that God has not acted sooner to punish wickedness is a Sign of His Mercy. It is however far more probable that it is a Sign of His Justice. That God is so angry (In Human Terms) that He leaves us to ourselves so that we more and more merit Chastisement. Imagine two Fathers with their own badly behaved teenage sons. One parent constantly intervenes and attempts to correct the son by punishments and scolding. The other is silent and turns away. It might seem that the one who is no longer corrected gets of lighter, but that is not the case. It means that when punishment does come it will be all the more severe and condign. God's apparent silence and non action does not stem from Mercy , but from Justice. We've stopped listening, so He's stopped speaking. A very,very ominous development.
If we have to go 17 more years like this or worse till the main event I sure hope God sees this as our purgatory. It's been 15 months and I'm already exhausted mentally by it all.
Bingo. Very few understand this. As a kid I knew I was in real big trouble when my father fell silent and left for a bit because I knew when he came back it was going to be with the belt... Anyone that doubts God‘s justice and the fact that it’s been our Blessed Mother whose intervention has withheld it from us for so long now...please prayerfully review Fatima, Akita, and what Sister Agnes received as the final instructions in October 2019. it will take longer than you think, and it will get much worse. we still live very well despite the sin of the world. the situation in the world will reach the point of becoming unbearable, famine, wars, epidemics much worse than this. it will be much worse than the worst horror movie. we are still living peacefully. and God wants to forgive the world once more. God's thought is not our thought.
Feast of Corpus Cristi on 2038 is the 27th of June. The nativity of St John is the 24th. Not sure if the date is movable though.

It might be more cheerful and positive to look at things as not a series of the most awful events but a return to simplicity and lack of complications. Of slowing down and not rushing about. Of having time for God and the things of God. Of a turning back to the things that really matter, things like love of God, love of family , love of friends and neighbours. Love of country. Of getting real about the things that really matter. Of a return to childhood and innocence. Of having time for people and doing things. Of being kinder, gentler and more caring. Of living more as our great grandparents lived, perhaps. Of not the mad rush to make money, for the will be no money, no more careers. Just being kind to others and being kind to yourself. No more craziness.
