Is it normal to feel completely lost during the dark night, or could it be something else. Feeling abandoned by God and hopeless at the moment.
Yes sanctus I myself have felt this as have many saints I love the footprints in the sand qoute and shortly before pope benedict resigned I was feeling exactly what you describe then pope benedict quoted that during his pontificate it felt as if God had fell asleep at the helm my instant reaction was wow if Peter who is close to God feels this then Im in good company..
Also Peter I had asked my little 14 year old daughter to pray for you, in a conversation I had with her she said she thinks sometimes our eternal world can cross with our earthly world as if our brain crossed the vail of heaven?, brains weren't made to do that only our souls..that's why we end up confused. Hi Bobby, It all started back in 2017, around February. Seemed to have received a sign around suffering then. Shortly after I went started going through alot of mental and emotional suffering which has been going on since then. The feeling of being lost to God has been going on since early 2020. Was experiencing suffering earlier than 2017, but nothing as much as since that time. 2020/2021 is the toughest because there is a feeling of being lost to God and damnation. Seems to be helping others and not going to waste by any means, just trying to offer it up to help souls if I can.
There was severe trauma caused by a witchdoctor I visited and new age practices before a conversion back in 2021 but thankfully the healing seems to be happening thank God. Due to leave hospital next week and doing much better.
Sorry the conversion happened in 2011 i meant to say, after coming home from Medjugorje and saying the Miracle Prayer and a friend introducing me to the Chaplet of Divine mercy.
