That was tremendous. It stirred a number of emotions. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been blessed because others than the 8 weeks I was sick with COVID , I was able to receive Jesus. I also am able to attend weekly Adoration. I was moved to take this photo last week. On this Good Shepherd Sunday, I offer up my prayers for my priests- our shepherd. The pain they’ve endured this year was so clearly articulated in this video.
Praise God you recovered from Covid. I couldn't stop looking at this beautiful photo, I can see why you were moved to capture this moment. I am on my tablet, so not sure, but there appears to be a very small figure with hands folded in prayer near the candle on the left.
it’s a statue of a cherubim in worship to the Blessed Sacrament. I will say that the I’m amazed each week that the incense instead of dissipating forms this “cloud” of what I call holy smoke around the Eucharist. It reminds me of OT when God appeared in Mt. Zion. This is a chapel at a Marian Shrine very close to where I live. It’s been my place of refuge. A very holy priest has kept the doors open and in fact has increased opportunities for confession and adoration. Thursday evenings of adoration are now seeing more people coming. It’s quite beautiful time to be in the calming and peaceful presence of Jesus. They do a live feed if anyone is interested every Thursday starting at 6:30 pm ET and then start Adoration around 7pm The link is below. You may need to scroll to what is called Thankful Thursday’s. https://www.facebook.com/dmactministries/live_videos
The cheribum is just lovely. Yes, that wonderful cloud of incense is truly holy smoke. A special blessing to be present for this adoration, God bless this holy priest. Thank you for the link.
Another scandal in Southern Ireland, Athlone to be precise. The Garda broke into a mans house middle of the night and took his children away. He had filmed them the week before harassing old ladies going to confession. I think the Garda did it for spite. He is fighting to get his children back. The video starts after some seconds when you click play.
I have been following this. It's outrageous. There is a court hearing tomorrow and by law because it involves children it will be held in Camera. That means no member of the public allowed and no reporting. If the father speaks of it outside the court he will be accused of contempt of court, which means jail or a very large fine. The whole thing is beyond shocking
This is all a trial run for something far, far worse. You can feel it in the air, they are testing the waters for what they can get away with...and thanks to the total cowardice of our Bishops.... they now know they can get away with whatever they want. So they will do so.
Latest development Pat Sweeny was informed by Tusla (Child & family agency) that his children are now with their mother --
This video mentions Longford in the heading. I wonder if the children's mother lives in Longford. The parents must be separated or divorced. Maybe she was the one who complained. If the children were with their father, and he was off filming in Athlone who was looking after the children. Maybe he lives with his parents?
He must live in Co. Offaly if he's being held in Tullamore Gda. Station. The report I heard yesterday was the children were removed because he endangered their health by bringing them to Mass. Seems a bit far fetched. Did he just have the children at weekends?
I've only seen the two videos posted here. Something seems a bit off, including the comments about the Guards. Something tells me that we aren't getting the whole story. I will pray that the man is reunited with his children and they won't be too badly affected by what must have been a very traumatic experience. I agree that it's time for the Bishops to tell the Government to stop interfering in our right to practice our religion but I would want to know more before rushing to judgement on this case. Who is the Gemma mentioned by the man in the first video?
Probably Gemma Ó Doherty who has been involved in anti lockdown protests. I'm just guessing. Irrespective of what the full story is its crazy that Gardaí would go into someone's house and arrest them under a mental health act and take their children into care. No warrant was produced. Why did they go in in the middle of the night. The man was checked by a doctor in Longford and declared to be of sound mind, so one has to ask what is this about. He probably is involved in anti lockdown things but the guards seem to be acting outrageously. Remember how they tried to stitch up Maurice McCabe, the whistle-blower and they got away scot free.
We'll hear more on this soon enough and I don't mean through the media. Hard to keep anything private in Ireland.
