Wasn't Charlie either a liar or deceived by the devil, since he had an angel talking to him that turned out to be telling him plenty of false events and timetables?

Back in his heyday, I had read over a few of his posts on his site and was immediately struck by his very harsh and arrogant manner, but even more so by the circular reasoning and contradictions in his writing. I felt right away that his "angel" was a deception. I asked him respectfully to explain a contradiction and his reply was so dripping with condescension and pride, I was stunned. He was not interested in helping me understand, but merely putting me in my place for daring to question him. It said a lot about his character, and I am certain his "angel" was no good angel. I would advise caution in association with him.

Yes indeed there was a who wha here on the forum about Charlie and his interpretations of what he alleged was shown to him. And indeed as you said in your post Charlie could be as sharp as nails at times in his responses to questions. He was even accused of being as mad as a hatter.

On listening to the Grace Force interview, what dawned on me was everything Charlie talked about in retrospect seemed to be held back during the Presidency of Donald J Trump. And in deed I had thought Trump administration was a four year reprieve for the degenerative American society. An act of Mercy from God to give America one last chance to repent and turn back to Him, before what we now see happening in the Biden administration.

I have great respect and admiration for Father Heilman, and Doug. And was amazed to see them interviewing Charlie. As Charley used to say, you don't get Heaven until you get to Heaven. And in the meantime we need to work for Heaven as foot soldiers here on the ground. God bless. :)

It looks like Charlie Johnson is asking people for money. Thats a typical endgame for false prophets.

Question for the usual suspects...what person who is alive today do you trust and believe has the firm grasp of eschatology?

surely Heaven has sent us “someone” to guide us through what we are living day by day...who is/are that person(s)?

I trust people whose holiness, humility and wisdom I can sense with my heart and soul, and through prayer. Pope-Emeritus Benedict XVI, Cardinal Sarah, Cardinal Burke, the Medjugorje seers Vicka and Mirjana, Fr. Don Calloway, and my childhood parish priest Fr. Dennis are among them. I don't know of any person right now with all the eschatological answers, or if there even need be such a person. I think we get caught up in analyzing everything going on, wanting to put every piece squarely in the puzzle, but perhaps every piece of the puzzle is not for us to know.

We can tell in our hearts, through prayer and a well-formed conscience, what is good and what is evil. We can sense the signs of the times and we know the remedy. Even if we only believe in very few Church-approved private revelations, we understand that Jesus and Mary want our prayers and sacrifices for sinners, and a reformation of our own lives so God's grace can flow through us. We know God's justice merits for us great punishment, but that His mercy wants our help in delaying and mitigating it. Do we need to know every detail of what that punishment will be or when it will begin? I don't think so. Does a child know every plan of his parents? Do his parents want him to fret over every detail of what may be coming in the future? Or would his parents prefer the child behave, play, do his duties, and frequently run to his parents for hugs, guidance, and smiles of reassurance? My children don't need to worry about anything. I watch them happily play, and every so often they look over at me to see if I'm still there; when I smile at them, they are either satisfied and resume their play, or they can't resist coming over to sit in my lap or be picked up. I love this about them. They don't need to know everything going on in the world, because they trust me to take care of them.

I believe God would love that kind of trust from us too. So the only people we really need to listen to are the ones that feed our souls and help us to love God better. And how do we love God best? By helping bring as many souls to Him as possible. If we were all doing that, there would be no need for chastisements.

I will add, for many years I have been praying for the Holy Spirit to "speak" to me through the Bible when I am troubled or need help. I pray then randomly open the Bible and let God speak to me through His word. He has never failed me. I recently learned that St. Therese and other saints did the same, often opening to three different passages, do I started doing three as well. I want to share here the verses I opened the Bible to tonight, after praying further about what we're discussing here, and feeling troubled by the news flooding my inbox.

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." --Psalm 37:7

"See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright--but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness." --Habbakuk 2:4

"I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing the praises of Your Name, O Most High." --Psalm 9:2

It is ok, and good, to let go of these worldly troubles, trusting God. For us, we are to try to do God's will in all things, and be joyful! We waste too much time discussing what the evil one is doing, when we should be praising God! He is so good to remind me.

honestly Tom, you know that you and I followed Charlie closely. I had no idea he was back on the scene at all...did you know he was still active. I lost sight of him after he shut down his WordPress site. Tell me more. I thought he had said if his predictions didn't come true he would go gently into that good night so to speak. I didn't realize he was out and about again?

tried and true.....Faustina: Secretary of Mercy...
Our Lords words regarding His second coming:

“Speak to the world about My mercy… it is a sign for the end times. After it will come the day of justice (Diary 848)…Souls perish in spite of My bitter passion…I am giving them the last hope of salvation; that is, the Feast of Mercy. If they will not adore My Mercy, they will perish for all eternity. Secretary of My mercy, write, tell souls about this great mercy of Mine, because the awful day, the day of My justice, is near” (Diary #965).

Well said! I am of this mind too. We simply can't know right now what is actually going on. Our Lord works in the dark although He is the Light. I think of the state of things when Jesus came into the world. Rome was oppressive and ruthless. Israel was seething with spurts if violence and deep discontent. The religious leaders were so out of touch and so tone deaf. It looked hopeless. While all eyes were on Rome and the great happenings in the empire God performed a stealth incursion in an obscure little outpost in the obscure little country of Israel. Under the radar. I believe in the midst of all this desperate darkness He is doing the same thing. Like Simeon we must pray and wait and hope and ask the Holy Spirit to let us know when we need to "go". Right now for me at least it is best to avoid all news secular and church--and focus on God's news. And Rosaries! Lots and lots of Rosaries.

    So well said, AED.

God never gives one person the big picture. Mary and Joseph had to walk in faith, blindly at times. When Joseph was told to flee with Mary and the Child, he left immediately, in faith. The Fatima children were given a message to warn the world, which they did, faithfully, even though they thought "Russia" was a woman. God is in charge of timing. I believe we get the grace and knowledge we need at the time we need it, and not before.

I think the urge to know the future is an effort to avoid suffering. The people sent to Auschwitz experienced the greatest suffering. How they must have prayed for a miracle! God answered their prayers. but not by sending angels to open the gates. He permitted St. Maximilian Kobe to be taken there. Kobe gave those around him an example of faith and charity by willing accepting death.

We have our guardian angels to walk with us, wherever we go and whatever situation we find ourselves in. In the year of St. Joseph, we can turn to him. He is more "alive" today than he was on Earth. He is more able to help us than ever.

So he doesn't speak prophetically anymore, rather he's trying to do what he described in the interview with Father Heilman, to hearten the faithful (that it's NOT the end) and urge people to choose good and reject evil, and spur them to action to hasten the triumph. You can read about what he's up to at www.corac.co

Excellent, I agree with much of what you said :)

Benedict, Sarah, and Burke are my heroes, I listen to every word they say, they "speak to me" as you so wisely said. I don't know Father Calloway or your childhood priest, but I do know of Medjugorje and have read what Vicka and Mirjana have said, but neither of them, or Medjugorje "speaks to me", it's not abhorrent to me, just nothing there for me. But I don't begrudge you for believing them or being moved by them, rather I feel that God has sent so many prophets (and yes there are false/fake ones) because each of us have our own individual charisms, no 2 of us are completely alike. So as the individuals we are, we are each moved in a different way, God reaches out to us through the Word, through the Holy Spirit, through those around us in our daily lives, and through his prophets, and there are different ones because one who awakens you (Vicka, Mirjana, etc) is not for me, and so on. That's a "good thing", methinks, as it shows His Love for us, to awaken us and stir us to action in individual and varied ways, meeting us "where we are" as it were :)

I am still interested to know what others think, is there someone out there today who you feel has a good overall understanding of eschatology that is in line with our Church's teachings?

Yes, Sister Agnes "Cover in ashes and please pray the Penitential Rosary every day" just after the Pachamama desecration in October 2019 (we all need to be doing these daily, hope you are better than me at the covering in ashes part), and of course what she was told decades ago and what we are seeing n real time today with bishops against bishops:

“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before.

“Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead.

“The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

“The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them”

“Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.”

And Benedict, when he was Father Ratzinger. This is truly prophetic, even though he said it wasn't as he pronounced it, but hindsight shows the Holy Spirit was guiding him to what was coming/is here (but this heartens me as we see what is unfolding in our Church, because instead of being just heartbroken and sad for what is lost, I have Faith in God's plan that He will allow this to occur for the greater good, kind of how I pruned my berry bushes recently, they all seem small and almost dead, but now they're ready to bloom again and produce much fruit):
    "...
From the crisis of today the Church of tomorrow will emerge — a Church that has lost much. She will become small and will have to start afresh more or less from the beginning. She will no longer be able to inhabit many of the edifices she built in prosperity. As the number of her adherents diminishes, so it will lose many of her social privileges. In contrast to an earlier age, it will be seen much more as a voluntary society, entered only by free decision. As a small society, it will make much bigger demands on the initiative of her individual members. Undoubtedly it will discover new forms of ministry and will ordain to the priesthood approved Christians who pursue some profession. In many smaller congregations or in self-contained social groups, pastoral care will normally be provided in this fashion. Along-side this, the full-time ministry of the priesthood will be indispensable as formerly. But in all of the changes at which one might guess, the Church will find her essence afresh and with full conviction in that which was always at her center: faith in the triune God, in Jesus Christ, the Son of God made man, in the presence of the Spirit until the end of the world. In faith and prayer she will again recognize the sacraments as the worship of God and not as a subject for liturgical scholarship.

“The Church will be a more spiritual Church, not presuming upon a political mandate, flirting as little with the Left as with the Right. It will be hard going for the Church, for the process of crystallization and clarification will cost her much valuable energy. It will make her poor and cause her to become the Church of the meek. The process will be all the more arduous, for sectarian narrow-mindedness as well as pompous self-will will have to be shed. One may predict that all of this will take time. The process will be long and wearisome as was the road from the false progressivism on the eve of the French Revolution — when a bishop might be thought smart if he made fun of dogmas and even insinuated that the existence of God was by no means certain — to the renewal of the nineteenth century. But when the trial of this sifting is past, a great power will flow from a more spiritualized and simplified Church. Men in a totally planned world will find themselves unspeakably lonely. If they have completely lost sight of God, they will feel the whole horror of their poverty. Then they will discover the little flock of believers as something wholly new. They will discover it as a hope that is meant for them, an answer for which they have always been searching in secret.

“And so it seems certain to me that the Church is facing very hard times. The real crisis has scarcely begun. We will have to count on terrific upheavals. But I am equally certain about what will remain at the end: not the Church of the political cult, which is dead already, but the Church of faith. It may well no longer be the dominant social power to the extent that she was until recently; but it will enjoy a fresh blossoming and be seen as man’s home, where he will find life and hope beyond death."
