I believe that Russia would not win a war against NATO through the use of conventional weapons, so any escalation in that tension evokes the nightmare of a nuclear war.
For some time now, I've been reading here again a lot, also because I don't know of any comparable forum in my language with such real Catholics. Now I was overcome by the urge to express myself briefly. I follow some alternative journalists who focus on Ukraine and Russia and who know their way around there. I don't think i need to go into details, but it looks like the conflict in Ukraine is getting hotter again soon. For a few weeks there has been information about how the Ukrainian government is preparing acticities in Donbass, with NATO in the background, and that Russian activities are a reaction to it. But it wouldn't matter who was to blame for a new escalation. I am not writing this to scare you, rather because an escalation into which Russia would be involved would increase the likelihood that the Pope will travel to Moscow to possibly de-escalate. Personally, I associate The Warning or Illumination of Conscience with the hope of emerging from it with a strengthened soul. Even though I know that The Warning itself will be very, very uncomfortable. But as a man I'm starting to hate the approaching spring and summer again. And I hope to be personally strengthened by an Illumination of Conscience, so that I can fight better against the temptations of the eyes. And hopefully some women will dress more modestly after The Warning... Okay, now i'm going back to lurker mode Thank you and best regards
Well, don’t look for leadership from Biden....he doesn’t even know where he is or what day it is. God help us! The supposed leader of the free world is likely napping while our enemies prepare for whatever. Keep praying, we’re in Gods hands now.
What can we do but pray , really? Getting to Confession regularly too. I love the words of Padre Pio, 'Pray hope and don't worry;.' Which is so true. If only people would convert. But it is very,very late now. It is hard not to fret though. I am amazed people in general do not get a sense of events heading towards us. Oh well.
Our Lady gave me a word for our priest this morning. She told me to tell him she had heard his prayers and was witness to his concerns for our Church. But that he is to put them all to one side as he is shortly to leave Ireland for another country where he would Minister to another people in a Refuge she had prepared. She said that our own little Church would cease to exist. This saddens me. I am very fond of our Church. It is very beautiful. But all things pass. I am trying to build up courage to speak to our priest in case he thinks I am a head case. But..as Mary wishes. Great, great events loom on the horizon.
Steve, I recently watched the original 2 episodes of The Chosen. They present in a wonderful manner the freeing of Mary Magdalen of her demons by Jesus. I think she would be a great saint to pray to in order to successfully battle lust. O Virgin must pure, pray for Steve who has recourse to thee!
We need to pray that we remain open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Most people are not looking for these things...they are focused on material/worldly things. When things begin to happen, it’s already too late.
besides the use of nuclear weapons, could russia surprise us with some kind of magnetic weapon that would cause a shutdown of the western defense and electricity systems? someone commented on the forum the possibility of a global breakdown in the electrical system which could be related to the vision that a priest had of the planet surrounded by darkness. (if anyone remembers the topic of this vision, please tell me)

Julia...I just reread Padraigs post....I totally misunderstood it! As I have reread it, it appears that Padraig really got a word about his church no longer being there....and he was going to have to literally tell this to his priest.....? Well yes, I guess he certainly did think the priest would question him....but Padraig actually does get words from Our Lady. I made light of it because I didn’t truly understand what he was saying...until now. It could certainly be very serious.
I had to go back and re-read Padraig's post again myself, it was quite alarming. I said a prayer for him tonight, I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to share the words from Our Lady with his priest. The troubles with Russia and the Ukraine are also very concerning.
Yes Jo....I’m saying a prayer for him too. I don’t remember his whole story, but he does get “words” and I bet he’s very concerned. I guess I didn’t take it serious because so often he makes sarcastic remarks( Irish humor) that we know are not meant to be serious....until I actually took the time to reread it and then I realized that he was serious. I read the most lovely message from Our Lady last night from her , 'Little Blue Book' . What you are supposed to do with it is to place a question or request or whatever, pray a while and open the little Blue Book for Mary's answer. I have to say it has never, ever failed me. Anyway last night I was fretting about coming War and the State of the Church. I opened the book and here was the Message: May 7 - 'My child, God is asking you to want what I want and not what the World offers you. You separate Me from you if you worry unnecessarily about whether you have everything under Control. Why? Have I not told you that you need not worry about anything but hold on to Me.
