Wow! What a wonderful surprise when I opened this forum. Thank you, John, for the beautiful artwork at the top. A blessed and holy Triduum, everyone.
Yes, me too, Beth. I'm really looking forward to it. I imagine it will be very late, perhaps the middle of the night here in Europe, when Episode 1 is released, so I might not see it until Easter Monday. Must find out what time they plan to show it in USA.
Just found this on the site: Season Two launches Easter Sunday, 8:00pm ET I live in Denmark, so I will probably watch it on Easter Monday.
I really wish it had been aired thoughout Holy Week! This inspired so many throughout lent! Thank you.
If you have cable and live in the United States- UP was/ is showing during Holy Week - I think tonight’s the last episode “I am He” I just checked on line - it looks like they will be playing the whole season 1 starting tomorrow at 1:30
Thanks for posting about this film. Just started season one. I'll probably binge watch over Easter. Really enjoying it so far.
https://studios.vidangel.com/the-chosen They have an app for The Chosen and you can watch the first season for free. For iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-chosen/id1473663873 For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vidangel.thechosen
Ok I watched the first episode last night. LOVED it They will not be continuing to offer the show on YouTube So I downloaded the free app but I refuse to watch the show in this tiny phone And for some reason the app is not finding my tv and I don’t own Roku or a fire stick - I’m being forced to learn more about technology than I want to
Thanks for letting us know it won’t be on YouTube. I didn’t realize that. Do you have a ipad? That screen is big enough! Finally something worthwhile watching. I’m getting ready to dump my cable. I’ll wait until my son can help set up alternatives, but I’m sick of paying for the lousy programming cable offers. I never watch it. I used to at least watch the news, but I can get that by streaming so I don’t need that either.
They said the next episode MIGHT be on you tube but they will be moving permanently to the app. And no I don’t own an iPad I’m lucky I have Wifi and a smart TV Job tonight is to figure out how to connect them
Well you must be tech challenged like me! Maybe there is a WiFi/ tech angel here that can assist....maybe a little tutorial? Good luck Ananchal!
I just buy the dvds when they release! We have no cable, no Wi-Fi so no streaming. Just good old fashioned hard copy videos here.
I started watching The Chosen after so many of you supported it. I am so impressed with it! I have been watching on Youtube, I downloaded the app on my ipad but the refresh rates take such a long time. I think the Director is a little long winded before you get to watch the actual episodes, but he is pleased with the production, so gotta give it to him. My favorite scene so far is Nicodemus . . .when Jesus invites him to follow him. And Nic wants to do that so badly but can't tear himself away from his own world. He gets really close, but at the last minute sobs because he just can't give everything up to follow Jesus. Reminds me of predicaments we are all in . . .it's so tough to let go of this world to live in the the next. Not in just physical things, but spiritually as well . . .our own egos, our grudges, our hurts, it's so hard to give them up.
I watched Season 1 of the chosen over Easter and then started again! I love it and am waiting for the next episode tomorrow night. It will be Wednesday over here. The above link is the actor who plays Jesus talking about Divine Mercy and his own faith experience. Wonderful. He is Egyptian Irish! Wow... enjoy
A great testimony to share with others! I love the quote from St. Vincent De Paul: "The most powerful weapon to conquer the devil is humility, for as he does not know at all how to deploy it, neither does he know how to defend himself from it!"
Thank you for posting! He is a lovely man altogether. What a great combination to be--Egyptian and Irish! Wow!
