Bumping Sams video of Seven Sorrows Rosary, to keep thread on track. It is urgent to get on board with this Rosary of reparation. Our lives depend on appeasing the just indignation of Almighty God after the packamama idolarty at the Vatican. And now the covid plague, and street riots. Pray please.

MEDITATIONS ON THE SEVEN SORROWS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

(Excerpts taken from Roses and Thorns by Blessed Concepcion Cabrera de Armida (Conchita)

The First Sorrow – The prophecy of Simeon

“…there was a thorn for me in the words of Simeon, which embittered my soul for life; sorrow without a name, hearing that Jesus was destined as the ruin and resurrection of many in Israel, and to be a sign of contradiction. Simeon said, ‘This child is destined for the ruin and the resurrection of many in Israel, and as a sign of contradiction.’ Then he continued immediately, prophesying, ‘And a sword shall pierce your own soul.’ What sword? To see my children wander down the slope of vice, scorning the Gospel. Stay and see if there is a greater sorrow for a mother than the eternal misfortune of her children.

The Second Sorrow – The flight into Egypt

“With what sorrow I recall the night of terror in which an angel told my spouse Joseph that we must flee into Egypt with the Child because Herod sought to kill Him. It was not Herod who obliged the Son of God to flee, but the son of God who wished to do this. He did not flee out of fear, but by design; not out of need, but of power. There He was to seek out sorrow for the continuance of His path to Calvary in a burning desert, through a pagan land, by suffering the hardships of the long road in bad weather, by living in even greater poverty, exiled and without liberty, hiding Himself from men for your salvation.” “My soul was crushed by the pain of what He was to suffer…” “The echo of the wailing mothers whose children were sacrificed to save the life of the Savior – those innocent flowers, the first of the martyrs – reached me; my soul was drowned in sorrow…”

The Third Sorrow – The loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple

“What my heart endured at that time no one can conceive. Can you even imagine Mary without her Jesus, the Virgin Mother without her divine son, the immaculate sheep without her holy Lamb who takes away the sins of the world? Finally, after three deathly days for my heart, we found Him in the Temple among the doctors who looked upon Him, overwhelmed with His wisdom.” “I humbled myself although I had no fault. Night and day I wept and sacrificed myself until I found Him. You must do the same.”

The Fourth Sorrow – The meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross

“With a glance of my soul, I followed Jesus as He left the house of Herod, in the white robe of a fool, the people hissing and howling with furious delight. I saw Him as a criminal in the presence of Pilate…” “I followed Him to the scourging, and, O child of my soul! I did not die only because I had to be your mother. O barbarous torment, which I will never forget!” “Then I saw Him bearing the cross.” “I saw how He spoke to the women who wept for Him with so much love.”

The Fifth Sorrow – The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus

“And among the throng of people and the crosses and the thieves who accompanied the innocent Lamb, I saw Him mount the hill of Calvary, staggering, and I saw Him extend Himself upon the cross in order to be nailed to it, so that He might attract you to Him when He was raised on high. Each hammer beat opened a deep wound in my heart.” “I saw how they nailed His purest hands, which knew only how to bless, and His sacred feet, which became fatigued in seeking you. Then I heard those last words of life, of pardon, of mercy. “During the three hours of torment I saw Him agonizing, and at the end, my child, dying without any support other than the cross, the nails, and the thorns.”

The Sixth Sorrow – The taking down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross

“There I stood to defend Him with a multitude of angels, who wept at the outrageous sacrileges…” I waited until that divine Body would pass from the cross on which He expired to the living cross from which He was born. And thus it was that I received the holy Body of Jesus in my trembling arms; with all the delicacy of my love, I took the crown of thorns from His blessed brow; and, my soul burning with celestial tenderness, I tried to communicate again some warmth and life to the cold Body of my son, because not even in death did He wish to close His arms so that He could wait for you to throw yourself into them.”

The Seventh Sorrow – The burial of Jesus

“The next farewell was when the stone closed the holy sepulcher and one body and two hearts remained in it: that of Jesus and mine; or, only one, so great a unity had we known! What terrible sorrow, comprehensible only to a mother! And I remained alone, alone; because everything was as nothing for me without Jesus.”

    Book of Heaven - December 21, 1903
Effects of the sorrows of the Celestial Mama

…. The Most Holy Virgin told me: “My daughter, courage along the way of sorrow. See, these seven suns which come out from within my Heart are my seven sorrows which produced much glory and splendor for Me. These suns, the fruits of my sorrows, dart continuously through the throne of the Most Holy Trinity which, feeling wounded, sends Me seven channels of grace continuously, making Me the owner; and I dispense them for the glory of all Heaven, for the relief of purging souls, and for the benefit of pilgrim souls.” While saying this, She disappeared, and I found myself inside myself.

This is an urgent call for as many of us as possible to say the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows to make reparation to Almighty God for the idolatry at the Vatican October 6th 2019; now followed by a further abomination in Iraq on 6th March 2021, with our Pope participating at a pagan site/ritual. The Iraq's want the publicity to encourage tourism, it is about money not Faith for Muslims/Iraq's.

Please take this seriously, because it could call down another plaque on humanity. Has covid and the lock down not taught us anything.

The Pope God help him must not be in his right reason to engage in prayer with Muslims, God help them who worship a dead purported prophet, and Jews much as we love them who reject Jesus Christ. We need to pray for the conversion of Jews and Muslims not with them, since they reject the Way the Truth and the Life.

    Hi Julia,
Thanks for the reminder to pray the seven sorrows Rosary which is much needed. Our Lady at Kibeho (church approved apparition of 1981 to 1989) stressed to the children to pray and make this rosary known to the world; stating that what was about to happened in Rwanda (the massacre in 1994) could happen throughout the entire world unless the world repented, turned back to God, prayed and especially prayed the seven sorrows Rosary!
Praise God I have been able to pray the seven sorrows rosary daily because the Lord in His great Mercy has increased my time for prayer.

I've not heard, what you mentioned about the Holy Father preparing to participate in a pagan site/ritual in Iraq on the 6th of this month. This sounds very scary and yet another descent.
Is this covered somewhere on the forum?
    Thanks for the heads up.

Below is an article from lifesite news regarding what you mentioned Julia.
I hope the visit of Pope Francis to Iraqi will encourage and console the dwindling persecuted Christians.
And that the truth of the Gospel will be preached!
However, like the last line of the article states "the supernatural price to pay for the watering down of truth may well be heavy"

February 24, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) -- In a boon for religious concord and tourism, spiritual and commercial benefits are on the list of “positive effects” anticipated from Pope Francis’s upcoming interreligious prayer at the archaeological site of Ur during his March 5-8 trip to Iraq.

The announcement was made a few days ago by Reuters and other news agencies and was met with approval by local authorities, who see the event as advantageous at a time when the Iraqi international tourism industry has been practically destroyed by the Gulf wars and COVID restrictions.

While the material advantages of Pope Francis’s visit to Iraq are certainly good news for local populations, and while the remnant of Iraqi Christians – left behind after a massive exodus of their community under Islamic law and the threat of persecution – await his coming with hope, this new interreligious initiative raises many questions.

It clearly finds its place among other pet projects of this pontificate. Among them are the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity co-signed by Francis and Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb of Al-Azhar University of Cairo, the supreme Sunni authority, and the building of the “Abrahamic Family House” in Abu Dhabi that will set a synagogue, a Christian church, and a mosque together on an equal footing, with the blessing of the “Higher Committee to Implement the Document on Human Fraternity.” This is the document that claimed God “willed the diversity of religions.”

The event will also be in line with Pope Francis’ latest encyclical, Fratelli Tutti.
Human fraternity is again being brought to the fore by the Pope through common prayers with other religions at the highest level, rather than showing that true fraternity derives from paternity, not of a multi-faceted God but that of God the Father whom Christians adore in the Most Holy Trinity.

And once again, the so-called “Abrahamic religions” are being touted by the event’s organizers.

Pope Francis will go to Ur as the birthplace of Abram, the place the patriarch left for Harran, from which he departed at age 75 at God’s command to leave everything and head to Canaan, under the new, God-given name of Abraham, in order to found a nation as numerous as the stars in heaven. It was there that he fathered Isaac at age 99.

The “father” of the Jews is a figure of Christian salvation history. His son, Isaac, whom Abraham accepted to sacrifice from obedience to God, is a type of Christ, his father’s only Son, freely giving His life on the cross for the redemption of mankind.

Seen from the current Vatican perspective, the common ancestry of Abraham should change relations between Jews, Christians and Muslims, making them realize that they have one and the same founder. Representatives of the three religions will join for the “Prayer for the sons and daughters of Abraham,” as it has been dubbed by the Vatican.

Other minorities will be present, including the Yazidi, who were persecuted in the Syrian civil war – they practice an ancient Mithraic worship probably marked by islam, with a black serpent as one of their main objects of veneration – and Mandaean-Sabaeans, a Gnostic sect venerating St. John the Baptist.

The prayer service, according to the Vatican, will focus on “harmony between religious groups.”

In one of the world’s first and oldest cities, where writing may have been invented and where centralized power is supposed to have originated, excavations made about a century ago by British archaeologist Leonard Wooley revealed a ziggurat (a pyramidal temple resembling the Tower of Babel as far as historians can tell) and a closed residential area springing up in the middle of a barren plain. It is in this residential complex that Abraham is supposed to have been born. But it is not certain that Ur, some 300 km south of Baghdad, is actually the Ur of Chaldeans of which the Bible speaks. Several ancient towns in Mesopotamia could compete for the title, including a port on the Turkish coast. Wooley spread that tale and it has been around ever since.

On March 6, Pope Francis will act on the presumption that Abraham was indeed born there. It is not yet clear where the prayer service will be conducted -- either in or near the vestiges of the ancient housing quarter at the foot of the pagan temple erected around 1900 B.C., or on the heavily restored temple itself.

The old Ur was best known in ancient times as a worshipping place for Sîn, or Nanna, the god of the moon, son of the winds and father of the sun, and of Venus, the pagan divinity who was linked with fertility and the female cycle and was especially invoked for the fecundity of cowherds. A public prayer in this location by the Pope – a prayer that would not proclaim the truth of the Triune God and the fact that salvation comes from the Incarnation of the only Son of God the Father – would send the Church yet a bit further along the road of religious syncretism. We shall see.

But however the ceremony unfolds, there is a fundamental problem with the concept of “Abrahamic religions” that suggests a sort of unity in the diversity of religious expressions that identify with the patriarch of Genesis.

But speaking of the so-called “Abrahamic religions” as variations on a single theme is deceptive. The Hebrews, who worshipped the true God, received the true promise of the Messiah but did not recognize Him. Jesus Christ brought the full revelation of the truth, revealing that the God of the Bible is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This revelation is complete so that nothing can be added on Earth to the deposit of faith. Islam violently rejects the truth about the Holy Trinity and rewrites and corrupts the inspired Holy Scriptures, giving the letter of the Koran a form of divine status since it is deemed “uncreated.”

It is true that Islam refers to Abraham in the same way it mentions other patriarchs and characters of the Old Testament, distorting the story of the Virgin Mary (Myriam) and of Jesus (called Issa, not Yeshua in the Koran, and certainly not the Son of God who died and rose again). Western scholars of Islam have shown that the religion of Mohammed, as presented in the Koran, borrows many things from Judaism and Christianity, simplifying and confusing them and adapting them to the needs of Mohammed’s desert tribe. It appears more as a corruption of the true “monotheistic religions” than as a new religion that in any case would not be acceptable for those who believe in the veracity of the religion of Jesus Christ, the true Messiah.

It would also be a mistake to believe that Islam recognizes Christianity as a true monotheism, when it repeatedly condemns the so-called “associaters” who “associate” other divinities with the one and only God. These include Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity.

Surely, the Christians of Iraq, now a dwindling minority living with the memory of bloody attacks and rampant persecution, will be encouraged by the Pope’s visit. Will it also strengthen their faith? When “tolerance” is the watchword for such an event, and human well being and peaceful cohabitation are promoted, the thing might even work to a certain extent. But the supernatural price to pay for the watering down of truth may well be heavy.

I see Josephite has shared information. There is also video of Taylor Marshall who talks about the upcoming prayer meeting, and Padraig posted a couple of videos on another thread about the Popes visit to Iraq and the concern from a Roman Catholic point of view.

A very important fact that seems to be forgotten by Christians is that muslims believe their prophet and his claimed prophesies ABROGATE every thing that was revealed in the old and the new Testament. In other words the Bible is cancelled by mohammed, which explains why they don't live by the Ten Commandments as we know them. Very important to take this on board because when you hear of muslims going back on their word. They have no duty before their god to tell the truth unless it suits them.

Having arrived home after surgical procedure, went in to have a look through for something to read, and the following Video popped up out of nowhere. I do believe Blessed Mother wants us to turn to her remembering all she suffered out of love for us and she must have been inconsolable to have to see the cruel suffering afflicted on Jesus.

All endured by Blessed Mother out of pure love for God, and pure love for us. Please promise to try and say this Sorrowful Rosary, to console Our dear beloved Heavenly Mother.

The promises attached to this are shown at the end of this video. Blessed Mother says, straight to Heaven when we die if we are faithful in saying this Rosary.

I started this up daily then fell out of it due to always putting it off "till later" because it takes a little while to do it well. But oh my goodness, it is so beautiful and always fills me with thoughts and understandings of Mary and Jesus that greatly enrich my prayer life. I know the devil has preyed upon my laziness to stop me from praying this because it is very powerful against him. So thank you for reminding me to take it up again!

I read that St. Louis de Montfort said, in saying the Rosary, "I denounce all distractions" and I think that is so true. We need to denounce the distractions since, for me, they usually do come. That's directly from his own writings.

I was at a Church retreat...event and at the break, there were a few tables of people selling things for reasonable amounts. I thought to myself, I'd like to have a wooden beaded Rosary, so I picked one up without really studying it, I just knew it had wooden beads. I got home and looked at it again, hey, there are only 7 beads per mystery and 7 different decades (if that is a proper word to use). It has thick string or chord and not chain links. I was also looking for something I thought would be more sturdy than chain.

Anyway, I took that to pray it though I have not prayed it all told, that often... I got the prayers from the net but the way to say it seems to vary bit by bit per source.

The main thing for me seems to be getting the "Our Father" and the 7 "Hail Marys" in.

This particular version of the Seven Sorrows Rosary is so simple. I hope more people can start to say it. In Rwanda the children were taught this ancient long forgotten Rosary for reparation by Blessed Mother herself, and encouraged to say it in these times.
