I remember geography class at school when our beautiful island was described as having a mild, moderate, temperate climate. The same can be said of most of our beautiful people being mild moderate and temparate. Ireland truly was once the land of saints and scholars , land of the Gael, musicians poets and artisans, seats of learning and a faith the envy of much of the world. Part of who we were is our hearty Cead Mile Failte to any stranger willing to assimilate and respect our Irish culture and beliefs. TIMES HAVE CHANGED. we have been infiltrated by evil doers pushing a sodomite, communist, zionist,anti-catholic unIrish agenda. For Ireland to be an Irish nation once again we need to defend jealously whats left of Irishness, defend the faith and protect Ireland against nefarious foreign influencers who would do us harm. protect our churches , monuments and customs of the Gael for we are their custodians for future generations
Very sad Aidan, Ireland is such a beautiful country. We are all in grave danger. Corruption runs deep within our Church, and our governments. We are so far gone, no doubt it will take a severe chastisement to bring people to their knees. I think we have already begun to experience minor chastisements, we haven't seen the worst yet. Lord help us.
Well Aidan I hold on to the prophecy and dream of St Patrick.. "the little glow an Amber in ulster that grew and overcome the darkness"
Underneath the surface there is a lot of prayer going on in Ireland. I tune into a Mass in a local country parish every morning and I see the viewers are 200 to 300 daily. Masses for special feast days like Christmas are in the thousands. I watch Eddie Stones in Clonfert every Wednesday evening for Adoration, rosary and prayers to St Joseph and the views are about 1000 and more. My daughter in law tells me that some of her acquaintance have taken up the rosary for lent. These are young mothers who have not done so before. There is still faith in Ireland but people lost their way and the church was weak but keep up the prayers. All is not lost.
I am part of a group of approx 100 people praying the Hours of the Passion daily in reparation for Ireland and the world. My friend runs this group and has people joining from all over the world.
Plenty of us down here in Florida, from Jacksonville, Palm Beach and Miami praying for Ireland, Scotland, England and even Spain. It’s not totally lost. Victory is just around the corner. Long live Jesus Christ!
Hi Maryrose, we don’t all pray as a group, but each take an hour of Jesus’ 24 hours of his passion, so that he always has someone accompanying and meditating on his sufferings. The “hour” may not take an actual hour to pray, some of them are quite short. I’ll send you a pm with details.
Living in the USA, and watching how the masses are falling away from the faith....and especially the youth, I have hope for both Ireland, the USA...and the world, that the Holy Spirit will eventually revive our church in a awesome way. I have to admit that watching Ireland lose its way is so very hard because of the great history of faith that Ireland has imparted to the world. Ireland had populated American with Catholics immigrants....I am a descendant of those immigrants. I’m a catholic today because of the beautiful catholic roots that were nurtured in the heart of Ireland. Faith was the greatest import Ireland offered to the world. It’s so hard hearing MOG members lament the loss of faith in Ireland. Please have and keep hope alive. I believe God and Our Lady will restore the faith of our fathers one day....because of the strong faith and prayers of the remnant. Remember how the book ends...God wins!
Yes God wins. Never lose hope. There are two worlds running side by side now. One controls the levers of power and the media the other is working away out of view and God is giving great graces. People are going deeper into faith.
Yes, maryrose, the Lord is stretching our faith by what appears to be His lack of response to our prayers. But this is not so. In the darkness which we are experiencing, He is rearranging the pieces on the chessboard. In the not too distant future, His final Word will ring out, "Checkmate!" as his Queen makes her humble but stunning move against the devil! Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
Great post! I’m waiting on the Lord. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For Thou art with me.”
