Recurring mouth issue depressing me--need prayers

Will you please pray for me? A couple months ago I bit the inside of my mouth very badly, then many more times over the next few weeks as it swelled and tried to heal. Eventually I stopped biting it but then a mucocele appeared--a clear bubble that forms sometimes as a result of trauma to the mouth, while it's trying to heal. The problem is it's protruding and hitting my tooth, and while I sleep I accidentally clamp down on it sometimes. It keeps going down and I think it's healing and going away, but then for some reason it comes back and I think maybe it's because of the accidental clamping down on it while I sleep.

This has been going on for a few weeks and I've been trying to offer it up and just pray and hope for healing, but it's getting really depressing each time it comes back, often very slightly larger than the time before, to where I can't even smile without it catching on my tooth very uncomfortably. I know that I could have it removed by an oral surgeon, but that doesn't guarantee that it won't come back and runs the risk of permanent numbing of part of the lip, plus it's expensive. So I'm asking for prayers that God will heal it naturally! And maybe some encouragement from anyone who's gone through this and it did eventually heal.

I know in the grand scheme of things this is really unimportant but I would love to be able to just focus on caring for my children without this problem continually worrying me. Thank you for your prayers.

PF i have had this. It does heal but what you need to do is get a night guard from your local drugstore. They are about 30 dollars and you boil it and bite into it to make an impression--follow directions on the package--and then you wear it at night. It protects the tongue and the teeth from clenching in the night. Let it soak in white vinegar every day to cleanse it--eventually you might want to have your dentist fit you with one. Very expensive--$300 here. But worth it. I've had this problem for years.
Try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water several times a day. Also you can try baking soda and peroxide rinse followed by warm salt water. It always helps me. Hoping and praying it helps you.
I will pray for you at Mass this morning. God bless.

Yep as AED said warm salt water rinses and if you can get it TCP my wife had the same problem a couple of years ago and that combination worked for her.. Also to note she got an allergy test done which showed she was allergic to dairy.. Changed her diet to goats milk and cheese and no more milk chocolate.. Seems to have helped her...

Ouch will pray for you! I too have had mouth sores since I was little, and then accidently biting the tissue creates scar tissue that gets infected. Is SO painful. I remember once it lasted 3 weeks of such pain I couldn't talk, couldn't sleep, could barely eat. A co worker told me years ago about L Lysine, and it works! When I get these or as soon as I feel them coming on, I take 1000mg pill in morning and one at night until it clears up, usually in a few days. Even the scar tissue seems to shrink. If you haven't tried it please try. I've been using for about 35 years now and have Rheumatoid Arthritis and my doctor also recommends it and is safe with all my treatments also. God Bless you!

I will put you in my rosary, PurpleFlower. Have you talked to a dentist? They might help.

I actually tried a night guard last night but had to take it off because I have a very small mouth and TMJ and it was making my jaw ache. :(

Maybe a child's size night guard would fit better?
