Could someone kindly post a list of things we need to have in our homes in preparation for the 3 days of Darkness ?

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

The main thing I understand we are advised to keep in our homes is a Blessed Wax candle. We are told to cover the windows and do not look outside, where all the demons of hell will be destroying everything.

I think Holy Water would be very useful for this time.

And certainly don't risk having a mortal sin on our souls incase those 3 days of darkness should come on us before we can get to the sacrament of absolution/confession.

In the homes where unrepented mortal sinners live the demons will be able to enter and destroy them.

We are told to spend the time on our knees asking God for mercy, and we are all sinners and no doubt have venial sins to ask mercy and forgiveness for.

The worst trial over everything to me is that the demons will be able to imitate our loved ones who are not with us and call from outside begging to be let in. Do not under any circumstance open the door or you will die. The same as one of your loved ones would die if they were really outside.

That is as much as I know about what to expect.

I don't think food and water supplies will be of much use; because from what I have heard, it will be like the shaking when there is an earthquake. We will not be able to stand. We will be sitting, kneeling or lying down. The innocent little ones will be kept in a sleep while this is all going on to protect them from the terror of it all. We will need to pray continuously until it passes. And Trust God to bring us through. Praised be Jesus and Mary.

Once the three days are over, God will miraculously restore nature outside, and when we go out everything will be clean and fresh.

The thing that some people ask is how do we light the Holy Candle, will ordinary matches work or do the matches need to be blessed. I don't know. I have heard that the candle will not light if the person lighting it is in sin. So an act of heartfelt contrition from the heart will be important when lighting the Holy Candle.

    Hope that helps.

You know it may be the vision Fr Blount saw was not of the three days darkness but of an electrical black out caused perhaps by something like an EMP surge or a software attack. He assumed it was the Three Days Darkness but it doesn't have to be so.

I have always assumed that the Three Days of Darkness was a Last Ditch thing that signalled the end of the Chastisement a kind of Heavenly full stop. I think we are far from that currently.

I agree with you padraig. I can't imagine the Blessed Mother wrapping anything in black. I don't know what this good Priest experienced. Maybe it was about the communist takeover of the world. Communism is in part materialism. Maybe the black cloth was a warning about the dark dangerous path of materialism.

We had a Parish Priest who has since died God rest his soul. And back in the late 80's he woke up early one morning and looked out the window and saw a third of the stars fall from the sky. He thought it must be a warning that the end of the word was coming God love him. He blessed every one who attended Benediction, individually with the Monstrance. He used to have Benediction regularly. And he did this individual blessing on more than one occasion.

He was seeing in a waking vision what Blessed Mother told Father Gobbi. It is also in the book of Revelation that a third of the stars would fall. This I believe was the prophesy that a third of the Consecrated souls of Priests would fall. And are we not seeing this big time in our day. We must pray for our Priests, Bishops, Cardinals and especially the Holy Father. They must be under fierce diabolic attack. God help and protect them. God save us all.

I don't know where the Three Days of Darkness might fit. But wonder if the Illumination of conscience or Warning spoken of at Garabandal, will be part of the Three Days of Darkness.

Then anyone who survives and falls back into sin will have to endure the Chastisement when three quarters of those living on the earth will be wiped out according to the Akita warnings, the good as well as the bad. Just a personal opinion.

If Bill Gates had his way the population would be one billion remaining after the NWO destroys millions of souls by making them sterile with these transgender treatments, abortion, and contraception. Who knows.

Yes I thought Our Lady wrapping the world in a cloak of Darkness seemed a weird negative thing for a Mother to be doing on her children.

I think In the Apocalypse the Third of the Stars Falling from Heaven refers to the angels who rebelled against God and Fell to Hell. Jesus also mentioned this, I think.

The word , 'Lucifer', means , 'Morning Star' and implies that Lucifer was the first of God's Creation.

    Luke 10:18

He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

    Isaiah 14:12-14

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

I think that there are to be two Great Apostasies. The Second being far worse than the first.

The First Apostasy (which is our own) is terminated with the Illumination of Conscience and then the Three Days of Darkness (Mercy followed by Justice).

Then we move into the Era of Peace and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

Then we move into the Last Great Apostasy, the Coming of the Anti Christ and Final Tribulation which ends with the Second Coming and Last Judgement (Mercy then Justice).

So its kind of a double dip if you see what I mean.

The First Tribulation which we are currently going through is merely a shadow of the Final Tribulation. But people get confused between the two.

Protestant commentators for instance are forever thinking these are the Last Days, when they are not, as Our Lady indicates.

This is the timeline I believe in.

Warning (Illumination of Conscience) ===> Tribulation ===> minor antichrist (precursor of the Final AntiChrist) ===> 3 1/2 years of universal persecution during antichrists rule ===> demons reign on earth ===> 3 days of darkness ends antichrists reign ===> Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

As a former Protestant, I know many taught, and may still teach, that true believers wouldn't go through the tribulation. The rapture of true believers would come just before the tribulation. Why's that? Because true believers won't be under the wrath of God, and that would be what the tribulation is. Of course, some even tried to say when that would happen, but they were all wrong. Jesus himself said it wasn't for us to know. He spoke many parables, some of them were explicitly on the return of Christ. Some will think they are ready, but find they are not. Some will find themselves ready to enter into His presence. It is up to us to make sure we are ready. We must study the bible and ask God for a clear mind to understand it correctly. And if we are being taught "a different gospel" we need to speak up. If we don't, and others believe this teaching, then we are as guilty as the person speaking the lie. I think the Church falls behind in teaching us how to read, and understand, the bible. It is pretty much left up to us. I kind of miss the format of the Protestant church. There was Sunday school, then the worship service. And on Wednesday there would be another service. Oh, and a nursery for the little ones so they wouldn't disrupt the service. In each nursery room was a speaker so whoever was taking care of the children could hear the message being preached. I remember there were times during Mass when there would be enough fussy babies there that I had trouble hearing what was being said. The Mass really isn't the place for very young children who don't yet understand they need to be quiet and still throughout the service.

I watched short video of Scott Hahn talking about this and I was surprised how little Scripture seems to have to say about all this. Also how unclear the interpretation of the Book of the Apocalypse is.

It made me recall that my own understanding comes from Catholic Traditional Mystical sources rather than Sola Scriptura.

Still the video I watched was from many years ago. I wonder if Scott might have mellowed a lot today after broadening his Catholic Mystical reading?

The video is only 4 and half minutes and worth watching:

I admire Scott Hahn so much.

Would you not say that say, with the Virus and current events in places like the USA and the Russian Federation that we may have already entered into the Tribulation?

I think of the lock downs as though God had placed his finger on the pause button of the world. It reminds me of the words from the Apocalypse 'Then there was silence in the heavens for a space....'

The thing that really separates Catholic Mystical understanding and gives it true depth and accuracy is the Blessed \Virgin Mary as the General the Leader of God's Forces opposing Satan. So we look to her words and directions in her Apparitions especially (but not entirely) from about the mid 19th Century onwards.

Also of course that of the Saints, Mystics and Popes.

My understanding is that the candle must be made of beeswax. Where can one get that? Ask your pastor if you can have the stubs of burned altar candles because they have to be made of beeswax. With enough stubs you can melt them down, save the wicks and then place the hot wax with the wicks in a mold large enough to burn for at least three days. My wife has made scores of such candles. :):):)

Over here they give out these special candles at Candlemas. They are long and off a different colour. I always keep mine. I don't know if they do this in other places.

What great idea to recycle those candle stubs! I recently found 100% beeswax candles on a clearance table at my local Whole Foods, and had them blessed.
