If you want to hear a Homily which will get you to your feet cheering, then listen to this one.

    Magnificent.

My one New Year Resolution is to develop a deeper Devotion to St Joseph. So here's a start.

Having watched all these videos I had a sudden feeling that the 'just' nature of St Joseph dovetails superbly with the priest's message about standing up for unpopular truths in our society. St Joseph indeed has a lot to say to us in 2021.

Thank you for the video on Joseph, it answered my question on the Joseph thread that I started. The answer wasn't in Catherine Emmerich, because I checked! Joseph was disturbed because of Mary's pregnancy not because he feared she had transgressed, but because he understood the holy nature of her child (he knew the prophecies) and felt unworthy of the great mission before him. The angel appeared in his dream and said 'do not be afraid', which would be a strange thing to say if Joseph was more suspicious than lacking confidence. Thank you again!

I am really looking forward to walking into the New Year with St Joseph. It suddenly occurred to me that he is the perfect Patron to assist through the Pandemic since he guided the Holy Family in finding a place to lay their heads and in the Flight into Egypt.:):)

I suppose the same could be said of Our Blessed Lady?

I was reading yesterday about Joseph and the Pharaoh and the message that this story gives to us today.

I loved the musical Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat when I was younger and over the years I have come to love St Joseph but I hadn’t really ever joined the two together.

When the starving came to the Pharaoh looking for some food, knowing he had a reserves, the Pharaoh said ‘Go to Joseph.” Joseph was trusted by the Pharaoh to be just and kind and to help everyone, which he did, even when his hungry, rotten brothers came looking for help.

Anyway, this is St Joseph’s time. Just when we need him most, we can ask him for help and he is listening.

I never thought of that connection before. Thank you.

Perhaps St Joseph represents the Faithful Remnant of our time, just as he did at the birth and early life of Jesus?

I am so looking forward to getting to know St Joseph better this year. I must pray to him much, much more.

I am always envious of earthly Fathers who so reflect the Eternal Father in ways others cannot.

What an exceptional priest, this is the first time I have heard a Catholic priest tell the laity the truth. He's right a lot of Catholics, including clergy, voted for Biden and Harris. Chastisement is coming.

Prayer, penance, sackcloth and ashes from now on.

I remember when I was very young priests used to preach sermons that made people squirm:D:D It took quite a bit of courage. I remember a young priest , just ordained who went out to preach his first homily when a woman in the congregation stood up and began shouting at him, 'Who are you to tell me what to do, you're only old enough to be my son!'

The Traditional Latin Rite priest we have , who is Canadian is not at all afraid to speak out, He told us that our Churches were closed and our drink stores were still open because we all drank too much. Which I thought was funny and quite probably true. Clsoisng the drink stores would have caused major riots in this city. Closing the Churches caused hardly a murmur.

I like to see priests getting angry, for some reason. Anger is a sign of caring.

i m prevented from being a husband sadly. However i will be a daddy til the day i die and beyond. No one can stop me from being a dad, my child's life is more precious to me than my own. I would crawl on broken glass to get to my girl and she knows it. I find it difficult to fathom the mentality of parents who walk away from their kids. Parenthood is both a gift and a duty dispensed from on high
