What Do You All Think of Marie-Julie Jahenny?

Though I've heard her name in connection with the Three Days of Darkness, I've only just a few days ago learned all about Marie-Julie Jahenny, her life and prophecies. Wow! It's a lot to take in. What are y'all's thoughts on her, and the horrific chastisements she said are coming? Do you think it's true? I like to weigh things carefully before diving in to private revelations, so I'd love to hear info and opinions for/against her.

Here's where I learned about her:

I feel more comfortable reading these prophecies because I heard Father Ripperger mention them in one of his youtube videos. If I recall correctly he took a conservative view on her prophecies that they may or may not be true but he didn’t find anything in error and it wouldn’t hurt anything to have the blessed purple scapular she recommends for your house.

I did just order that scapular a couple days ago, just in case. ;) The revelations from Jesus and Mary seem very spiritually on target, but they're also all over the place and hard to understand... I don't know if it's a translation issue?

  4. First, although I can't find it in search results, I clearly remember the Bishop involved with Fr. Ripperger chastising him and calling into question his prophecies, teachings, and his cult following (yes, it is a cult following).

Second, Marie-Julie Jahenny's testimony re: her apparitions are her own, no one else was present; and she demonstrated various psychic abilities (yes, psychic) that are present in everyone although most do not acknowledge or use them. Foretelling the future is called prophesying and "seeing things at a distance" is remote viewing; both things exist, whether or not this woman experienced them or it is partial or complete myth I don't know. As for stigmata, there is psychiatric evidence that such phenomenon exist fully independent of any move of God in any manner. One must always err on the side of caution and approach these things with enormous skepticism.

Third, the RCC makes a grievous error if one is to believe the words of JESUS who warns of those who speak in his name or claim to "be" him, does he not? To the Orthodox Jew, of which Jesus was one (a Rabbi), this is idolatry. We are not to pray to other Humans, for any reason at all. If the RCC would stop following Paul and start relying upon the words of Jesus, alone, it wouldn't be in the mess it's in right now.

None of this will fall well upon the eyes of readers of this comment. But it's the truth, I know that because I do listen to the words of Jesus. Further, sanctifying any Human based upon "signs and wonders" of the physical is a bit risky since the RCC itself teaches that "demons" are fully capable of performing these "signs and wonders" in order to "fool the elect". Does it not?

Obtaining articles to wear for "protection" is pagan; you don't have to like that but it's a reality. No article of any sort will protect anyone and where, in fact, did you see Jesus speaking of such things? It's superstitious. You see the problem?

So I strongly encourage you to find the "real" Jesus by studying who he was, what he did and why he did it, why he said the things he said and taught in the manner he chose: he was a Rabbi, he was teaching the people in the manner used by Rabbis and one which they not only anticipated but fully understood. There are some excellent books on Orthodox Judaism in the time of Jesus and discussions of his teachings by scholars who do understand what he did and said in that context. To discard his words is a serious error in judgment, corrupts his message and replaces his words of encouragement and love with fear and spiritually dangerous nonsense.

I am offering up prayers for you, daughter of Lourdes. Your posts have a hint of anger and arrogance to them. We are here not to point fingers but charitable to others viewpoints.

  7. yes I am Catholic, raised in the Latin rite, been to St. Peter's Basillica three times, saw Pope Francis, been to Lourdes five times, been to Fatima once, have seen the great cathedrals in France, Italy and Portugal. So much for the implication of that question.

'I clearly remember the Bishop involved with Fr. Ripperger chastising him and calling into question his prophecies'

What, 'Prophesies', has Fr Ripperger made? I am not aware of any.

I am not aware of the Father's Bishop, 'chastising ',or , 'calling him into question? Can you provide a link, please?

'As for stigmata, there is psychiatric evidence that such phenomenon exist fully independent of any move of God in any manner.'

Really where? Can you provide a link?

'Third, the RCC makes a grievous error...'

How can someone who claims to be a devout Catholic state that the Catholic Church may be in , 'Grave error'? How it this possible?

'Obtaining articles to wear for "protection" is pagan; you don't have to like that but it's a reality.'

Again this is not the position of the Catholic Church. Are you really a Catholic? I very, very much doubt it.

Mmm I think I am going to kick you off the forum as a False Flag, pretending to be a Catholic while being some of kind sneak attacker. I'll have a little prayer first.

    I smell a rat.

Jesus would not be too happy with folks who pretend to be of a Faith Tradition they are not like this, whether you are , 'Saved' or not.

    Time to mend your ways.

I did not have to think or pray too long about it.

'Daughteroflourdes ' is a gonner. 'Daughterof MartinLuther', would have been more exact.:);)

The site Mystics of the Church is to be trusted IMO. I don’t know much about M J J but always believed she was OK - no red flags. And that strange ex-member would have us believe the medal of St Benedict is pagan!

Marie Julie must have been a very holy woman. I'm a bit dubious about some of her remedies.

Here's a link to the full text of the book written by her friend, the Marquis de la Franquerie: https://archive.org/stream/marie-ju...arie Julie Jahenny Breton Stigmatist_djvu.txt

Ant this, from E.A. Bucchianeri, is what is published on the Mystics of the Church website: https://www.academia.edu/11211343/We_Are_Warned_The_Prophecies_of_Marie_Julie_Jahenny

Members who have already read this book may like to read the comments section on the Mystics of the Church website because it includes some comments from Mr. Bucchianeri containing clarifications/corrections.

I searched but wasn't able to find out if there is a cause opened in Jahenny's case. I haven't seen her named anywhere as a "Servant of God" or "Blessed." So, she perhaps has not received the same scrutiny given Blessed Anna Taigi Maria or Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora. (Although being "Blessed" doesn't necessarily mean the church approves any messages or remedies.)

I lean very much in favor of her being a true mystic - to the point where the purple scapular hangs in my home. I also agree with Dolours that some of the remedies are puzzling.

If I had to guess, I doubt very much that the Vatican will be quick to open her cause. Her messages foretold of a new mass that Out Lord is very critical of, which some argue is the Novus Ordo mass.

    * (Just so it’s clear, I attend the N.O. Mass more often than I do the TLM - I’m just pointing out a line of thought that could be hindering her cause).

When I was young I used to love reading mystics like Maria Julie. I found their prophesies and lives fascinating. She was clearly a saint. Certainly her Bishop thought so ..and the words of saints should always be taken seriously.I wonder do any young people nowadays find mystics like this interesting? I hope so. They open doors to an entire new world.

One wonderful thing abut Catholic Seers is that their prophesies tend to dove tail. In other words they all confirm each other by saying the same kind of things and speaking of the same general future events.

New Age Psychics and witches are the exact opposite , they blatantly contradict each other all the time. I asked one about this one time and she gave me a blank stare. There is no answer to this for it is quite true. It is as if they were all born on different planets.
