So what is really happening here?
There are several strands to this story. It is complex.
The American cardinals have been the “open” ones, holding press conferences — but the Italians are the ones who have actually been talking to journalists, privately, not for attribution.
So, the Italian cardinals have been speaking in private — but their words fill the Italian press!
The Americans have been speaking in public, saying nothing of real substance about the proceedings — and they are being asked to stop doing so!
The Americans do seem a bit naive, holding press conferences with no real content in them, though the effort to provide some insight into what is happening in these days is to be applauded.
So, there is no real drama surrounding the ending the conferences — they contained nothing anyway. They were not important."

Just for the sake of clarity, and because I really don't deserve to be credited with such a sensible comment.
Steve D actually made the comment about the breaking the oath of secrecy. I simply cut and pasted Robert Moynihan's explanation of what was happening with regard to the same issue. I thought it might shed a little light.

I must further add, never take a newborn on a plane..my oldest daughter contracted meningitis in doing this... she was one of the few lucky ones to come out after 2 weeks on IV to get the bacterial infection down .
Planes can carry a lot of disease.

 

I just want to say" good bye" to Marys child. I am sad to hear she wanted to leave. And a thank you for her kind words and help.

this is very true due to their closed air circulating systems. could spread infectious diseases like in case with legionaries epidemic (http://www.cdc.gov/legionella/about/index.html)

Same is true for the cruise ships or any closed container-like closed spaces.
It is better not to take an infant up to 6 months of age anywhere where crowds occur - until their immune system starts producing their own antibodies

 

I would actually add that if anybody is in contact with her, to ask her to reconsider her decision( which I suspect was emotional and maybe a bit too fast) as she truly will be missed.

LOL...It's a mystery what I iz. I don't even know. It's actually just a play on my last name.

 

This is a good rule of thumb but not always a perfect "closed/sealed preventative against anything today" or even if you have breast fed for years for up to 2-4 years and for some even longer..this can help or it can cause further problems ..why is this. because a mother can be sickly unknowingly and spread illness through her milk. not even the most consciencess or perfect mom to be ( fact) Nothing is fool proof today, not any type of water, not even self made organic foods in a processor. Today it doesn't matter, it has always been an alert for the elderly, the young etc. but as in our recent times, it includes us all unfortunatley.

 

Freeze all foods prior to cooking, bless them always, and remember water is the most dangerous of all and pork, anymore today, it can be everything incuding fruits and veggies..people do not believe..but the eggs are not visable to the naked eyes..they are present in all. They will take over the human host within a few months time and reproduce millions of eggs daily..very difficult to eradicate ..it can take years before anyone knows, even decades..unfortunately it is always too late. They are silent killers

I forgot to mention on a plane, never take ice, tea, coffee..those, just bottled items, look this up yourselves..they will admit it as being very risky indeed. And wear a mask.

 

His English is good, his accent is thick. He uses a translator for the talks because it is much more clear.
