What a mess. What to make of all this? Also, this thread just disappeared off my new posts list as well as another one I saw on this topic. I looked through several pages and it was not listed. The only way I could come back to it was to find it in my browser history. Odd.

While I take no issue with the church trying to reform capitalism (I actually think its a good idea and well overdue) or talk with people of others religions what bothers me is that while the church is seemingly attached to it "for the good of humanity" Christ is never invoked for the reason for it. It's as if by simply putting on our social justice capes and invoking humanity for it's own sake we will create a new and just world and that very well may be the case but it will be a world empty of God. However, when Jesus invoked us in the beatitudes to tend to the poor and the weak it was not merely for the sake of them or for the sake of a new and just world. It was for the sake of bringing all into the Kingdom of God and sharing with them the gospel. This is the salvation of men, that Jesus died for our sins that whosoever might believe on Him might be saved. It is He who we cling to.

When Jesus is denied as the Son of God, both man and God in the flesh in some place such as the UN and televised around the world will it be any surprise? Who will be left to stand and proclaim to the kings of the earth that Jesus is the only way to the Father.

At the beginning of the 20th century almost all people proclaimed the hope of the coming century for mankind. We should remind ourselves regularly how that turned out.

I can’t see a way to make anything good out of this. The church recently has shunned it’s moral authority in many areas, especially when it comes to the murder of unborn children, yet they are the proclaiming authority over political/economic systems. Within the article is a list of actions the companies involved are committing to and a huge chunk of them are related to climate change and what amounts to pushing for carbon trading. I would bet that is the end goal. I think it’s safe to say that they are not looking to reform capitalism in a good way.

    From the article:

“Capitalism has created enormous global prosperity, but it has also left too many people behind, led to degradation of our planet, and is not widely trusted in society,” said Lynn Forester de Rothschild, founder of the council and managing partner of Inclusive Capital Partners. “This council will follow the warning from Pope Francis to listen to ‘the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor’ and answer society’s demands for a more equitable and sustainable model of growth.”

My loyalty is with the Church and with the Holy Pope Francis. Everybody else involved in this seems suspicious to me and I can't think of any reason to trust them. But I have faith God won't abandon his vicar on earth.

This isn’t one of the instances where the Pope is infallible.

Who said anything about infallibility? I don't understand why you would make that comparison.

Just pointing out that being loyal to the church doesn’t mean we have to support everything the Pope says or does.

Is this Pope being duped big time by everyone around him? He can't otherwise believe he's doing the right thing?? Hanging out with Jeffrey Sacks and the like... Going all globalist etc. So confusing!!

  12. An interview with Malchi Martin about his book A Windswept House:

    https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/1136142/posts

If anyone questions the incredible evil present in the Church today, and think the events in A Windswept House are merely fiction, the disclosure of Cardinal McCarrick's misdeeds should sober you.

He (McCarrick) Didn't start out in Carolina, but another Cardinal did...
    https://onepeterfive.com/explosive-dossier-cardinal-cupich-under-investigation/

I used to wonder why in a Windswept House the author (Martin) focused so much on the joining of the Church with the new world order leaders...After all the book starts with a demonic ritualistic rape of a girl involving a group of satanists including a Catholic priest which seemed so much more evil...

But that was the beginning; and the result plays out in the crumbling of the Catholic Church as an institution after the Church lays in bed with the new world order globalists. Build Back Better=The Great Reset. The old institutions are torn down to rebuild. The Catholic Church is one such institution.

The book was written over 20 years ago and we now see it coming to fruition.

    God have mercy on us!

In the end the gates of hell will NOT prevail against the Church built on the cornerstone of Christ himself.

What a load of biased nonsense - we live in the wealthiest era in History.

Someone is considered poor now who doesn't have a I-Phone.

Not saying poverty doesn't exist but it is not capitalisms' fault -

After sleeping on this it really sours my stomach that since Pope Francis's election the Vatican's move to support social justice causes has been significant and now due to the times we are in it is enormously wide ranging global reforms being proposed. Again I take no issue with that. It has always been the popes who have spoken out against injustices. Capitalism isn't perfect and can certainly be improved to regulate those who use it in an unjust manner. I am glad the Church is taking up this banner.
However, since when have popes not invoked the name of Jesus and the salvation he gives in cause of all Christians and people of good will to act in the name of Him and act in unity to fight these injustices especially when the cause affects everyone?
It is like removing the yeast from the dough. Do you still get bread? Yes but it is a bread that is completely different than the bread we all know and are accustomed to eating.
I thought to myself, well maybe it is because as Catholics we all know that Jesus is our savior and it is thought that it need not be mentioned for that reason or to not offend those outside the Christian brotherhood?
If this is the case then what is the just cause for this if we are not a living witness to the world of Jesus as we are all called. Jesus has always offended the world. It strikes me that it is simply not just to remove our living God from these causes in the name of dialog with the world or for the sake of them and nothing else. Peace at all costs is not peace but capitulation and captivity.
Has the name of Jesus become such a point of contention with the world that even the Church which is called the Bride of Christ does not honor Him from the causes it takes up?
I don't have the answer to these questions. All of this bothers me however and I pray for Pope Francis and for our Church. He is a Pope in a time of very great upheaval around the world and especially within the Church.

You might be interested in this then, Don. Although it all gets so depressing.

Still I suppose it is better to know than not to know..sigh. It's like we have all entered a scene from some horror film.

  18. ON THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION they met. The CEOs of the global economy and proponents of the new world order met at the prompting of the Pope.

    How many are masons?

Everyone should view the video Padraig posted.

This is foretold in Malachi Martin's book.

This is disastrous for the Church.
