Medjugorje Visionary Ivan speaks at St. Louis, MO Church

  1. Excerpts from Ivan's talk at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church St. Louis- 3/17/13 ....and Our Lady of Sorrows 3/18/13
"Pray for the gift of Peace. Peace is found in Jesus alone. Our Mother is speaking to all of her children--ALL. You have come because you are hungry and thirsty for God. Find rest in Him. Find safety and acceptance in our Lady. She is with us, how united are we with her? She says we are the 'living Church'. Breathing with both lungs, she wishes to renew the living Church by having us daily change to make a choice to grow in holiness. If you are strong, the Church will be strong, if you are weak, the Church will be weak. Continue to ask her, "Mother, are you satisfied with me?" Be a sign and a light for others. "That is why I am calling you, she says, pray in families. Make a chapel or altar where there is prayer--there is no living Church where there is no family. The family is bleeding. I am here to heal. Prayer is the divine cure for all wounds. Our Lady comes as Mother of the Church. The heart of man is where peace comes from. Consecrate your hearts! Do not speak about peace--live it! Speak less and do more! Do not speak about prayer--live it!" The world is not in an economic recession, it is in a spiritual recession. At every apparition I see behind our Lady the light of heaven. Heaven has people there, angels, music, flowers and its very hard to come back here. Life on Earth is no longer interesting. She asks for peace, conversion, prayer and penance and fasting, love, strong faith, forgiveness, the Eucharist, Scripture and hope. Are you living the things that we do have? The Bible, the Sacraments, prayer etc.? Our Lady is not calling us to the end of the world or the second coming of Christ. She says, "I am calling you to let the Holy Mass be the center of your life." Monthly confession, adoration, the rosary all need to be encouraged in our families. Forgive, love others and ourselves. This opens the path to the Holy Spirit, pray with your heart! With love and out of love have a conversation with Jesus. Let prayer be a joy to you. Our Lady says we should pray at least three hours a day and in this three hours it includes the Holy Mass, the rosary, adoration, holy conversations, good works, helping others and reading the bible. The school of prayer has no breaks or holidays! More =better = grace. The problem is love. Love = time. The world is in a spiritual coma. What we love, we make time for.

The message at the apparition on Sunday, at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church St. Louis- 3/17/13 was this:

Our Lady came joyful and happy. She had tears in her eyes she was so full of love.

"Praised be Jesus my Children! She prayed over the priests, the seminarians, the religious sisters , the sick and all of the faithful present. My dear children, Today also in this time of grace I call you to pray and be co-creators of a beautiful world. This time is a time of responsibility. Allow the river of love to flow in your heart--pray for my intentions. Pray for my children who are far away from my Son. (She prayed over the petitions offered to her, and blessed the objects offered. She blessed the sick, the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the priests and prayed over everyone.) Go in peace my children."

The second night at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church during her apparition she said,
"Praised be Jesus my dear Children! She prayed over the priests and seminarians in Aramaic. I recommended your needs and petitions and this parish. She especially prayed for vocations. She prayed over the sick and blessed all of us with her motherly blessing. Go in peace my dear children"

  2. Lots to talk about. I came home very tired, very focused, and TONS of emails, phone calls, mail and work to do! I even have a speaking engagement lined up from talking to someone a year ago! wooo-hoo! :ROFLMAO:

I did get to go to two of Ivan's talks. The first night there was such a rainstorm! Thunder and lightning galore! Someone who I was with and who sees angels said that the angels were not even there, they were doing battle with demons outside of the Church and I laughed and said, "We have the sound effects and light effects to prove it too!" We spent FIVE hours on our knees and on our bottoms and everyone there KNEW they had been on a pilgrimage! The Protestants have it made with the cushy seating! The reverence and excitement filled the air. The 1400 people who were there on the first night filled the church and overflowed into the gym with big screens. Two giant angels went up with Ivan as he knelt by the priest who led the rosary. The angels enveloped both of them in a bubble of protection said this person. Several people witnessed a flash of light when our Lady appeared. During the apparition Ivan visibly nodded his head several times and one priest reported that at the moment our Lady blessed the priests attending, "his head felt like a million pounds and then when her hand was taken off, it was noticeably lighter." It was wonderful to be with like-minded people and priests who love our Lady and our Lord so very much!

I did get to eat lunch with Ivan and his interpreter and two seminarians and a few priests. I talked to him about my late spiritual Father, Bishop Roman Danylak. I also understand he gets 300-400 emails a day from people asking for prayers and testimonies of conversion. He flew into St. Louis FROM Argentina--so he was tired. He had met with the Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio who was later to become Pope, and Ivan was blessed by him BEFORE HE LEFT FOR THE CONCLAVE. Thousands showed up at the stadium where the apparition was in Argentina. You KNOW there was a party going on when they heard the news of the new POPE! IVAN SAYS THIS IS A VERY GOOD AND IMPORTANT POPE! :D Ivan met with the Seminarians while he was there and is leaving on Wed. for Iowa. He was in great spirits joking and laughing. I will post pictures later. It was a pleasure to meet him and it was wonderful that my two daughters were with me. I had tears thinking about how I was young and pregnant with my third child when I went to Medjugorje in 1986 and here was Ivan again, and I now had my 20 year old daughter with me who is due to have a little boy in July. Also of note, the Pope's spiritual director is a Franciscan Croatian! (y)

In the New York Times it says, "Cardinal Bergoglio apparently went through the first round of voting, which took place on Tuesday evening, into the conclave as a leading vote-getter, but a number of other eminences garnered some votes, which were handwritten on Latin ballots with Pilot gel pens. Carlo Marroni, who covers the Vatican for Il Sole 24 Ore, reported that Cardinal Bergoglio, Cardinal Scola and Cardinal Marc Ouellet of Canada were the leaders."http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/15/w...s-surprise-selection.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

Well, my source says it was not Scola or Ouellet. It was Cardinal O'Malley from Boston and Cardinal Schönborn ...from Austria...gulp...which just goes to show you what a state the Church is in right now!!

I received many blessings and got to see my father who has Alzeimers and is in a Veterans Home in Mo., and my sister and cousin. It was all wonderful and I came home to a gift from Gail!! A DVD of the new QUEEN OF PEACE video! Wow! I have awesome friends!

One more thing. I talked to Mark Mallett on the phone today. I told him what I just told you and we talked about a lot of things. I reminded him of Padraig's story too!!(y) I also want to REALLY encourage you to read his blog that came out today : PROTECTOR AND DEFENDER. Maybe someone can post it.

That was quite a report!! It's interesting to see how Mark Mallett's blog seems to have emerged as a leading source of reflection for many at this time: it's not often you see someone who is obviously open to prophetic witness (e.g. Fr Gobbi) in a major way but who is equally obviously well-grounded theologically in not-so-fashionable sources (e.g. Soloviev) and evidently mature in his approach to spiritual discernment. He's making a big contribution to changing the received opinion in many quarters - especially among 'intellectuals' - that to treat mystical theology seriously is to have joined the 'lunatic fringe' whereas in reality it's just continuing and reviving the great historical tradition of the Church's greatest minds down through the ages.

It also has to be considered significant that a Pope has just been elected whose support for Medjugorje seems borne out by his actions (comparable to those of Cardinal Schönborn). Things clearly developing very fast here...

If this is true, someone has broken the oath of conclave secrecy. After previous conclaves, I don't recall any claims in the press that they have acquired 'insider knowledge' about the process but there have been several such claims following this conclave, some in the Italian press about the US bishops, led by Wuerl, getting together as a body to vote for Francis and now this one about the last three to be considered. I find this very disturbing, the informant(s), if he/they really exist, are excommunicated automatically and these are Cardinals!

But you seem pretty well acquainted with the history, especially the persecution of the Church and some of the miracles connected to that ( this is not from this site) :)

  12. Seriously Steve, I agree. The insider info that came from the other conclave was from a 'secret diary of an unamed dead Cardinal...' I had not read that about the Italian press and Wuerl....it is scandalous. How about those Italian headlines that were put out 15 min. AFTER THE POPE WAS ANNOUNCED---THAT said Sodano won! They had to wipe egg off their face and and said it was a glitch..oops :censored:

  13. I am Ruthenian Byzantine but was raised Roman Catholic. My husband was protestant and we were married in the RC Church and when he was finally Baptised, he chose the little Byzantine Church in the town we were living in and asked me to join him. You cannot pray for Unity in your marriage and the say no....It was through Bishop Roman Danylak that I learned to love the Divine Liturgy and the deep, historical and mystical Church. The Eastern Rite of the Church is the 'keepers of the rituals of the faith'. PJPII said that when you walk into an Eastern Catholic Church you walk into the year 800 and that has NEVER CHANGED...you can go to one tomorrow! They are in full communion with Rome. There are 25 'Rites of the Catholic Church.' We are not Orthodox (they left Rome behind) we are orthodox--meaning conservative and historical. I went to Ukraine with the Bishop last year and we had a fabulous time. I learned a lot and the people are hard working and so VERY faithful and persecuted!

:) I know. I am Ukrainian Catholic. The original, from the Berest Unity of 1596 which started all those in your far right column ( it used to be called Greek-Catholic, though it is a misnomeric, since Greek language was not used in the Church, but old Bulgarian)

  15. You can walk into any of these beautiful historical Catholic Churches throughout the world and receive communion. Its SUCH A WONDERFUL , DIVERSE AND UNIVERSAL CHURCH!! PJPII 's mother was Byzantine and when he said, "We are breathing with BOTH lungs---THIS is what he means...."

When a priest says he has duel rites---this is what he means. Our new Pope has duel rites. So does Fr. Mitch Pacwa. Look in your phone book and see what Church is nearby. The Orthodox are not Catholic. WHEN THEY DO COME BACK UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH --THEY will acknowledge the authority of the Pope of Rome. Right now they have Patriarchs.

  16. And as I understand it, the Ruthenian is the ancient Ukrainian....right? Are you living in the U.S.?

Yes. It was the name used for centuries to call Ukrainians of that times, though "Ukrainians" and "Ukraine" was used by people also ( first in XII century). Then Peter I of Russia started to name his country which was known in Europe as Moscovia - Russia, which applies the direct heritage to something they have no connection historically and anthropologically ( but that is a different story). Name Ruthenians was used interchangeably with Ukrainians until 1944, when soviet "liberation" occurred and Western Ukraine ( which has never been under Russian Empire until then) was incorporated into Soviet Union ( which was a modified Russian Empire) and the name Ruthenians ceased to exist.
Yes, I do live in the U.S., but I am originally from Ukraine. My grandfather was calling himself a Ruthenian I am - Ukrainian, though it is the same people ethnically and linguistically.

  18. See? You taught us all something! My kids walk into a Byzantine church, close their eyes, take a deep breath and say, "We're home!" Just because you use all your senses in a Byzantine church. The smell of incense, the hearing of the chanting and singing of the Divine Liturgy, the seeing of the Icons which are windows into heaven, and the movement of the Priests and Deacons and Servers, the kissing and touching of Icons and bowing profoundly making the sign of the cross and of course the standing, sitting and kneeling are great because you can NEVER go to sleep! THATS FOR THE HOMILY! LOL :ROFLMAO:

“Regarding the cancelling of the press conferences that some of the American cardinals were giving in these days, Fr. Lombardi observed that ‘the Congregations are not a synod or a congress in which we try to report the most information possible, but a path toward arriving at the decision of electing the Roman Pontiff. In this sense, the tradition of this path is one of reservation in order to safeguard the freedom of reflection on the part of each of the members of the College of Cardinals who has to make such an important decision. It does not surprise me, therefore, that along this path there were, at the beginning, moments of openness and communication and that afterwards, in harmony with the rest of the College, it has been established whether and how to communicate.’”

So what is really happening here?
There are several strands to this story. It is complex.
The American cardinals have been the “open” ones, holding press conferences — but the Italians are the ones who have actually been talking to journalists, privately, not for attribution.
So, the Italian cardinals have been speaking in private — but their words fill the Italian press!
The Americans have been speaking in public, saying nothing of real substance about the proceedings — and they are being asked to stop doing so!
The Americans do seem a bit naive, holding press conferences with no real content in them, though the effort to provide some insight into what is happening in these days is to be applauded.
So, there is no real drama surrounding the ending the conferences — they contained nothing anyway. They were not important."

Steve, if it helps, I have copied and pasted this from Robert Moynihans blog.
