How long will it be until committed Roman Catholics are labelled ant-social, mischief-making miscreants for pushing back in order to attend Holy Mass? How long until we are classified as dangerous hate-filled bigots whom society has a right to subdue? It's all so obvious what "their" plans are. In fact "they" have become so brazen that all pretence of subtlety has but gone.
Our church does a FM broadcast of every mass which is pick up about a kilometre from the church. Once the church mass reaches covid capacity those that can't get inside can listen and take part in their cars in the parking lot. Once communion comes those in car line up outside and get communion outside then go back to their cars to pray until mass is let out. May be harder in super cold winter weather but still possible. First wave was online mass and no communion. I pray and will push for communion happening no matter what level of lock down comes here again.
Toronto reduced to 10 people! I'm fortunate because I live outside T.O. in the orange zone for now...we have max of 30%. I've had a feeling of sadness all day..and I've never felt this way before.. I mean since covid started..not sure why.. may Jesus is affecting me. He must be so upset!
Maybe so. I was in a funk yesterday as well. It was day 1 of the new Michigan 3 week "pause" for in house restaurant dining. All I felt, looking at all the chairs blocking the dining room was not again!? I just don't think our state numbers will be down enough after Thanksgiving. Yet, I also don't see the Republican legislature allowing for 1 min longer.
Our town is now in the COVID ‘red zone’. I am very concerned that our churches will be closed for Christmas. Praying it does not happen.
Maine is supposedly skyrocketing cases all over the place. Our MD is very concerned. So for me that gives it credence.. Seems hospitals are filling up. She wants us to hunker down and limit social contacts. I am going to get to confession and Mass this weekend but then......who knows. This is truly a chastisement.
What gets me with all our Dem governors is 3 vaccines are quickly on their way! Those who care much less about life issues but work in health care/long term care & the elderly will have first dibs. By Christmas, many will have received shots! Still there is widespread panic pushed on us! Yes, numbers are way up, but insighted panic & worry is not of God.
I feel drawn to Confession as well. My state has some renewed restrictions and we're urged nay guilted to hold off on Thanksgiving gatherings of any number. Sorry, my family gathering is 4.
What irks me the most is we're all being guilted from small holiday gatherings or anything for fear of causing death. People! Covid is NOT a guaranteed killer!!! The likes of Alzheimer's IS. My mom is not physically here because of THAT!!! Ok, I'll shut up now.

What these dick heads don't seem to grasp is the there really is a life after earthly death. To me all this closing Churches and depriving people of the Sacraments, is the same as preparing people to be sent into space without any protection. Can you imagine what would happen if we were simply catapulted into space, when the government decided it was time for us to go. Out bodies would disintegrate. Well by depriving us of the food for our souls in the Sacramental life of the Church, the government are claiming rights over our souls that they have no power or authority to impose. It defies imagination how the Bishops of the Church have not twigged; because their message to me by their actions is, they do not believe in the hereafter. They are converted to the government, and the scientists and the medical experts. I still belief what Jesus taught us, is that schism. Sigh.
