We'll be getting called in by the hospital as staff before Christmas to get the wonder vaccine. . Please God I get wriggle room to get out of it.
There was a gentleman who worked in the hospital died of the virus the other day. Aged 51, not overweight, no co morbidites, did not smoke or drink, his mother and father both died of the virus a few days previously. It brings it home to me. It is turning out to be a very,very bad winter . Right across Europe and the entire world...

It's the one thing everyone in our family agrees on, no one wants this vaccine. They are really ramping up, I received an email yesterday from one of our big pharmacies here in the states, CVS. Apparently they will be distributing the COVID vaccine...big money to be made. I hope you can find a way to avoid the vaccine, perhaps there will be some sort of exemption.
I have no objection to the vaccine per se -- my dad was a doctor during the polio epidemics in the 50s, before the vaccine was created -- but I'm old enough to remember the vaccine that was created for the Hong Kong flu. It was given to millions of people, and suddenly we started hearing about something called "Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS)," that hadn't been around before. Because of that, I'm perfectly willing to let someone else try the vaccine first.

I admit I have gotten very complacent about the vaccine. I take my tablets each morning and also my temprature. But there is a saying in Ireland, 'If its meant for you it will not go bye you!'. I am very,very healthy myself, I walk miles and miles everywhere each day. It just goes to show....

We are in the midst of a great propaganda war -- BBC Fake news corporation has the audacity to headline fake news on vaccines. Also BBC recently has take to fact checking speeches by Trump etc. BBC is an organ of propaganda.
Thankfully, Padraig the death of someone like Mr Doherty is very rare. The age profile for those who have died of covid is over 80. But that doesn't make it any easier for the poor Doherty family as their loss is great.
Likewise the number of kids diagnosed with autism has skyrocketed. Something causes autism as it was rare when I started teaching in 1987. It seems mostly to be young boys. In USA there are 1 in 54 kids with autism. One thing is for sure the Big Pharma companies don't care - they are immune from prosecution when it comes to vaccines. In other words they have a free pass if things go wrong.
Spanish flu is not a good analogy in this case as it was once in couple of hundred years event. At least 50 million died worldwide. Covid is similar to the flu outbreaks of 1957 (Asian) and 1968 (Hong Kong) with over 1 million deaths each. Covid deaths worldwide have now reached 1.3 million. 1.1 million died in the first wave (Feb-May 2020) 0.2 million have died in the second wave (Sept-Nov 2020) The reason for this is that the first wave was the epidemic phase. Subsequent waves are called the endemic phase and this kills less people as herd immunity is build up as people get more resistant through time as the virus spreads thorugh the population.

I knew the dad oweny he was a black taxi man for years As for the Spanish flu history tells us the doc's back then got it very very wrong during the second wave they killed most of the patients by overdosing them with aspirin as they thought it was the cure..
