I’m still in the hospital but finally some good news - I’m ravenous this morning! I could eat a horse!
I’m home. The whole drive home I was thinking about going for an e bike ride! I’m dying to climb on it and go for a ride, even if just using the throttle. Prudence is the better part of valor I was discharged with a drain for bile fluid protruding out the side of my abdomen. That might be hard to explain if I crashed. (They’ll take the drain out next week.)
Prayer request update - it’s worse than I thought. Good news - my mitral valve is only leaking a small amount. My current problems have nothing to do with my pulmonary hypertension. Bad news. I’m having some very serious heart trouble right now nonetheless - a serious clot in the left heart ventricle and really bad left ejection faction, 18, well into serious congestive heart failure range. They’re starting me on injectable blood thinners then I’ll be on Coumadin and they’re changing multiple other medications. There is no surgical option. I’m walking and talking just fine and that has the docs puzzled. They usually only see someone with my current problems in an ER. But I am getting daytime shortness of breath now with exertion and that’s not good. The docs said to hang up the chainsaws and other implements of destruction for now. Bummer.
Prayers through the night. Don't forget to off er it up, as my mother used to say, 'Offer it up to the Sacred Heart!'
