Happy St Patrick's Day border collie and to all of you here. We are having a Mass for all people's. This with learning difficulties in particular. The readings will be simplified but still the same message. The Gospels will be illustrated, there will be drama (an easier way for those with learning difficulties to understand the Mass) The homily will be simple. Today Jesus says... I forgive you I am really looking forward to this, it has been a long time coming. The girls and I (unless my boys want to come) may just go down to Trafalgar Square afterwards. There is a great celebration held there and it is free. Music, etc.. We go early and we come home early so that the day is enjoyed without all the drunkenness.
I will go 9:00 Mass after a bit then go to town and watch the Parades I have my shamrock already bought them I will plant my potatoes aswell
Lá Fhéile Phádraig Shona Duit I don't know what I shall be doing. If I can get up the energy I might climb up Mount Slemish were he minded the sheep as a slave when young.
Padraig...I was watching a show on EWTN yesterday about Saint Patrick called "Lives of the Saints". They showed a bunch of pilgrims climbing a mountain with awesome music playing in background. I guess it is called "Reek Sunday". Last Sunday in July. The mountain is called Croagh Patrick in Ireland. Some people were climbing it in their bare feet. Have you ever climbed that mountain on Reek Sunday?
View attachment 867 Happy St. "Padrag"'s Day to all. I've heard that the Irish were granted a dipensation{a day off"} from lent for his feast day. I wonder if that extends to the Irish across the pond.
I am sure that it does Hope. We were granted a dispensation on Mother's Day too. I was grateful for this.
