This may be the most articulate explanation of the primacy of the abortion issue to Catholics and protestants that I have ever heard.

But why is it left to a lay person?

Shouldn't our Bishops, shouldn't Our Holy Father the Pope be doing this and doing it so much better?

Oh no, wait...the Holy Father is doing Civil Unions for sodomites at the moment.

Maybe he'll get back to it.:) Pardon the pun.

The irony of it is sad indeed. I guess we are back to the time of the Arians when the lay people for the most part and some few courageous priests and one bishop (Athanasius) preserved the faith. God is permitting this devastating unmasking of the rot in the Church. Perhaps that is why He permitted this papacy. I could never have imagined this in the days when safe in the reign of good popes we talked of the coming chastisement.

I've just finished watching Taylor Marshall's latest video. Jason Jones is his guest. A strong pro-lifer and advocate for Iraqi Christians and Uyghur Muslims, Jason was inclined to be a never Trumper but now is a strong supporter. He's one of the few people I have heard say what I have believed for a long time and I think everyone knows but won't say out loud - that ISIS was Obama's JV team. I have admired Jason since the first time I saw him interviewed. He's the kind of person who proves the lies of the abortion supporters who claim that pro-lifers are only pro=birth.

It's a great discussion. really worth spending the time listening to it:

I listened to this right before dinner. It was riveting. I didn't realize he made the film Bella. I want to listen to his podcasts now.

Yes, it is riveting and informative. He has the measure of Bishop Barron. I think that Catholic Answers is in his diocese which probably explains how it has changed. The forum is fast becoming a hangout for the type of people who regard America magazine or the National Catholic Reporter as Magisterial.

Yes it seems so. How refreshing to hear truth. Like a crisp clear autumn day when everything is fresh and clean and luminous. I never realized how wearying and exhausting it would be to live in a world of lies.
He is obviously a smart and well informed man but his speech is so simple and direct.

I suddenly had a thought. We here recognize the truth and we are almost ecstatic when we hear it and yet so many around us are mired in a fog of lies. Jesus told Pilate that "he who is of thd truth hears My voice" but Pilate retorted "what is truth?" What a gift of immense grace that we can hear and recognize the voice of Christ--to recognize His Word.
