I did not know this! Has EWTN been infiltrated too? I don't much care for their nightly news but programs featuring Emma Bonino!!! The outside of enough as Jane Austen would say. Mother Angelica would have a few pithy words to say on this.

Their programme didn't feature Emma Bonino. She wasn't mentioned. When I checked out the Italian charity I saw on their website the report about Emma Bonino giving a talk to the African women.

By chance I just finished listening to this priest on the subject, which was very interesting and I think true.; It last 15 minutes if you have the time:

That’s too bad. I really benefit from all of their devotional broadcasts and Masses.

I do too. They were a lifeline during the lockdown. Im glad they didn't feature Emma Bonino. (I didn't read carefully enough)It does seem way against type. They had that wonderful documentary on again last night "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" about Saul Alinsky and his role in undermining the Church. Chilling.

To be honest, I do give a modest donation. I will think carefully now. That documentary is something I need to watch. Right now, the priests are doing daily prayers for our country and for Godly leaders to be elected Nov. 3 with prayers to Our Lady, and one written by Father Hardon. The rosary is recited in front of the Blessed Sacrament exposed every morning at 9 am.

I think that the Vaticano people are a separate department based in Rome. They're like EWTN's version of Rome Reports and just as sycophantic. As far as I can remember, they were reporting on the Vatican's support for the Italian charity and some Vatican event involving the charity. The charity has some very big corporate supporters in Italy, which probably explains Bonino's involvement. Any mention of Bonino would have been a negative were the programme makers hoping EWTN viewers would donate to the charity.

Perhaps a direct challenge to them as a result is in order.

Best to concentrate on working out our own salvation in fear and trembling and let all the experts argue with each other.

Did you watch the video about the state of the faith in Portugal? I pray that I'm wrong, but I have zero confidence in that Cardinal preserving the dogma of the faith there or in any other country.

Father David Nix is an excellent priest. In this video he says he thinks the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart is very near because of apostasy from the top in the Vatican as well as the tryannical ,communistic response of governments to covid.

Father's lexio divina series on youtube (under the pseudonym Padre Peregrino) provides a great springboard for mental prayer. He is working his way through Matthew's gospel using the commentary of the early Church fathers as well as the masters of prayer: St. Bruno, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese, etc

I was a little unclear that he was a priest at first. I thought it was just a white hoodie he was wearing.

He was a Denver diocesan priest but with his bishop's blessing has become a hermit. He does travel quite a bit to give retreats, participate in anti-abortion activities, etc..

There’s a hermit priest in Pennsylvania as well. I like that.

Interesting, thank you for telling us about this. Did someone post this one already, which is also related to Fatima?

Thank you, Padraig. I enjoyed this common sense approach to the daily madness of our lives. His advice is perfect, hang in there and carry on with your salvation. Our Lady is coming to clean house soon!!!

I love this Dolours, that is exactly what I've come to believe. Thank you and bless you.

Just finished watching The Secret Still Silent. Thank yoi for this Don!Excellent documentary.
Its disappointing that they still have not revealed the 3rd secret in its entirety. As I was watching I I started thinking thay the blessed Virgin Mary went about it in her own way though. She asked Sister Lucia that the 3rd secret was to be revealed in 1960. But when they didn't announce it, she appeared in Garabandal in 1961 and after that when the Vatican and the bishops did not approve Garabandal, she appears in Akita in 1973, which was approved; and it would appear that it may be very likely that the message from Akita is similar if not the same message as the 3rd secret of Fatima.
So I think we now know because the Blessed Virgin made sure to tell us in spite of the decisions of the Vatican not to release or rather to release it in Snippets. Although, it would certainly be about time they did!

A very, very unusual vocation. A hermit. The Desert Fathers tell us that the Greatest Temptation of a hermit is anger. Anger towards whom? Anger towards themselves. Why? Because the anger within has nowhere else to go.

At work at the moment there is so much anger, I think a lot of it has to do with deep unhappiness and fear. Thank goodness I am on the night shift and alone. I am amazed at how much people rush to talk to each other , even when they dislike each other. like magnets that attract and repel at the same time.

I love the thought that in prayer I am always in the deep silence of the inner Church. We can only truly be happy in our own skin when we nourish the flames of the inner candle of prayer.

Much talk with others blows the candles out.

    Matthew 12:36

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
