The Russian errors Our Lady spoke of were the Leninist ones of the Soviet regime about to take power, were they not? They did indeed spread around the world and their seeds have borne even more evil fruits in the West. I consider that the great efforts of Pope St John Paul II, including his doing his best to consecrate Russia to Our Lady, led to the still almost incredible disintegration of the Soviet Bloc, which has allowed Russia to begin her recovery from the demonic rule of the Communists.

Weekly church attendance in Russia is estimated at 7% of the population though 79% call themselves Orthodox Christians. Only in the Islamic countries and in China are the estimates for weekly church attendance lower. In the US weekly attendance is 35% and even in the Godless UK where only half the population declared itself Christian on the last census, 8% attend church weekly. It must be understood that Orthodoxy is a national religion and is linked to nationalism and national pride. Only a few years ago 75% of the UK population declared itself Anglican though church attendance provided a totally different picture, this was for the same reason, Anglicanism was 'our' national religion and also then linked to national pride. Russia is the most unequal society in Europe and one of the most corrupt and suffers the most deaths through alcohol abuse. Russia reported the highest abortion rate of any developed nation in 2010 which has since been falling only because the high early death rate and low birth rate was resulting in a fast declining population and the government tightened the law to lower the rate of population decrease. These statistics don't point to a Christian country, let alone 'the most Christian in the world'.
I don't believe "it will be over in 2021" it will get much worse in 2022. One of Our Lady of Garabandal's end prophecies is now upon us "Communism will return". We are seeing the first fruits of communism, but it will get much much worse. I believe her following prophecy will come in 2021 when "things will be at their worst" and finally her third prophecy will come about in 2022 "the Warning will come". Then comes the 1290 days of the Antichrist. All in the world will have known, via the illumination of conscience, God's absolute truth lies only in his one, holy, Catholic and apostolic church. Whomever rejects this knowledge via the Warning will follow the Antichrist. Then the final victory will come after the 3 days of darkness followed by the Era of Peace, our Lady of Fatima and Revelations 20 spoke of.
Well we won't have to wait long to find out (I did say, 'In my view' so I'm not insisting on my analysis being accurate). No point arguing about exact dates so near to the events (though, if I were a betting man - which to my shame I am - I would be putting money on 2021 as the watershed and for reasons additional to those stated but which might cause incredulity if I were to detail them here). I hope that the moderators will forgive me for editing this but when I went to read my emails just now, I read this from Dan Lynch Apostolates 'Father Livio Fanzaga, Director of Radio Maria in Medjugorje, said “I believe that the time of secrets coincides with [2021] the 40th year of appearances.”

Thank you Fatima for your input. I agree that things will become much much worse. As you know Our Blessed Mother described The Tribulation to the child seers in Garabandal in one word: Communism. We are reliably informed that the intensity of this Tribulation will increase until it is almost unbearable. At that point the heavens will intervene with The Warning. Mari Loli, one of the seers, told us that The Warning will happen in an even year. The Warning will prepare us for The Great Miracle. We are told that The Warning and the Miracle will happen in the same calendar year. From what we know The Great Miracle will happen in the month of April on a Thursday between the 8th and the 16th of the month. It will not happen on a feast day of Our Lord. Accordingly then the earliest possible year for The Miracle will be 2024. The earliest possible time of the Warning then will be within the first four calendar months of 2024. It will come before The Miracle and prepare us for The Miracle. I doubt if many will be prepared for the Warning and some may possibly die of shock. But it will draw many closer to God. On December 6, 1962, Conchita had a 90 minute ecstasy around 5:30 in the afternoon after which, she provided another piece of information regarding the Miracle: One day, before the Miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to stop believing in the apparitions of Garabandal. Our Lady tells us that the doubts and desertions will not be due to an excessive delay of the Miracle. On the same day Conchita declared that as the future great events draw near ( The Warning & Miracle) “presumed and false manisfistations of the Blessed Virgin will increase considerably “. The purpose behind these false appearances was for Satan to blur Garabandal until it was a distant memory, and preferably completely forgotten. It was also revealed that the “false and presumed“ apparitions will continue until the Warning when they will be seen for what they are. I apologise for straying somewhat off thread but was only following a previous lead. I will stop now as I have done what I can to clarify what Garabandal offers.
When Our Lady said that Russia would spread her errors throughout the world, she may have been referring especially to abortion. The USSR was the first country to legalize abortion and was alone in that position for many years. Now, few countries ban abortion and the west is particularly affected by this 'spreading of error'.
I think there have been over a billion abortions since the introduction of industrial abortion. It's a figure that's almost impossible, maybe fully impossible, to get one's head around and magnifies Stalin's dictum about one death being a tragedy, but a million being just a statistic. Such a death-toll dwarfs that of all previous wars and genocides, and is one specifically and systematically directed at the most innocent and helpless class of human beings. Nothing in history calls down Chastisement like this.

This was previously posted elsewhere by Glenn. “The Blessed Mother speaks of Abortion at Garabandal Among the fulfilled prophecies of Garabandal was one that only came to light with the publication of a German book [Garabandal — Der Zeigefinger Gottes.] on Garabandal in 1992. The author, Albrecht Weber, was in Garabandal on the day after Conchita's last apparition at Garabandal on November 13,1965, and had a long conversation with the visionary. The following excerpt from his book deals with some of what the visionary told him: She [Conchita] spoke quite openly about the developments by which men in the near future would rebel against God. On the day after Our Lady's last appearance at Garabandal, Conchita asked the author, "Can you imagine how somebody could kill children in the womb without thereby killing the mother?" The author spontaneously answered, "No! What gave you that idea, Conchita?" "Well, the Blessed Mother spoke about this and she let me know that this will happen with the overflowing of the chalice." [In her second Message of June 18,1965, the Virgin said, "Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over."] Conchita said this tremblingly without being able to visualize what it really implied. She said further that it disturbed her very much but that she felt ridiculous because she hadn't understood at all how this killing could be effected. The Blessed Virgin had not explained it to her and up until that moment, nobody had been able to make her understand it at all. Conchita would learn soon enough when abortion became legalized, even in her native country. The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time . . .!" I think that Our Lady meant atheism becoming the State religion and the complete rejection of God. That's what we have in the West except that it's passed off as separation of Church and State. The government replaces God, the politicians the priests and the central committee of the party becomes the magisterium. All the rest flows from that.
