Countdown to the Kingdom

  1. Hi, Christy.

With Garabandal, many of us are waiting to see whether the prophesies will come to pass. Then, the Church would make Her official declaration. I myself have been drawn to its merciful themes of a warning and a great miracle from our loving God to all mankind. Because of Conchita’s age, we won’t have much longer to wait. There have been spiritual fruits nor has not been condemned.

I've never been drawn to Garabandal, unlike some other private revelations. I am certainly not against it. Whatever happens, happens in God's time.

Personal Belief...haven’t read or know anything about Conchita.

    Something happened.

And when something happens...you do get enlightened and see the world differently.

But her journey after visions has been very noble. She seems to have followed church orders. She has been humble and not been in spotlight. She has stated that she is not 100% sure of some of the things that happened.

Maybe she was put in a spiritual conflict that was much greater than we understand.

And by Gods grace was able to find her own sainthood.

Sometimes it better to see outside the box.

    :)

  4. Yes. I have two very good (love those guys!) male friends of mine who know her and have always been highly drawn to her deep humility. That speaks volumes.

I first heard of it in 1963 and it touched a chord deep in my heart. Malachi Martin believed it was authentic. Right now I follow the Church on this. Im in wait and see mode.

  6. For me, it came very gently through others. It was slow and steady. God certainly does meet us from where we are at every given moment.

Jimmy Akin of Catholic Answers and co-host Dom Bettinelli have a podcast up on Fr. Michel Rodrigue. It is long but quite detailed. I think it may answer questions some posters have. It is dated Oct. 16.

Akin covers possible doctrinal errors, extraordinary claims from "ordinary life," snippets of Fr. Rodrigue's humor, etc. In fact, Atkins fact-checks some of the anecdotes from Countdown to the Kingdom, down to consulting Google maps to show implausibility of some claims (example, Fr. Rodrigue claimed to be victim of a Russian bioweapon after eating at a Montreal restaurant).

Atkins enlisted a large group of volunteers to help him listen to the many hours of tapes of Fr. Rodrigue's talks.

Akin said he contacted both Christine Watkins and Daniel O'Connor in preparing the podcast, and that they cooperated in the project. I wish I could embed it, but it's not working.

The Countdown authors must respond to this devastating critique.

Jimmy Akin's conclusion: The two Canadian bishops have definitely ruled against Fr. Rodrigue's messages. Under canon law and the Vatican guidelines published by the CDF, the bishop can take the initiative and make a ruling without setting up a commission. This happened with the apparitions in Betania, Venezuela, which the bishop declared authentic on his own initiative.

Why did the bishops issue public warnings? Atkin cites the time factor, saying there is a short timeline for the events predicted to begin; and that many fearful people from all over the world had contacted the bishop, all of which led the bishop(s) to issue letters.

The letters do not present the bishop's personal opinions, Akin said, but are based on information made known to them. Akin cites the CDF, saying there is nowhere any requirement to use the Latin terms meaning of supernatural origin or not supernatural; the forceful language used by the bishops, together with the actions taken, are sufficient.

This completely contradicts the arguments Mark Mallett and Daniel O'Connor have made, which were based on their notion that because the bishops had not used the Latin phrases, therefore the messages had not gotten a formal negative judgment.

Thank you for posting the conclusion. That's an extremely long podcast. It is a good thing that you posted it, but it's long.

  14. I could only listen to part of this presentation because I didn't want to hear the snippets of Fr. M. talking. It confirms what some of us were trying to warn about over and over.

I’m only 40 minutes in but they have already covered so much. Anyone that is searching for the truth regarding Father Michel should make the time to listen.

Around the 30 minute mark they talk about one of the criterion used to judge messages as being a healthy devotion and abundant and constant spiritual fruit.

“Despite how spiritual fruit is often cited that’s not sufficient. For this criterion to be fulfilled we need to see abundant and lasting spiritual fruit as judged from an objective perspective not from people caught up in an experience.”

The speakers point out that it takes years to see “fruits that endure” and we obviously have not had enough time to see if the fruits people are seeing are lasting.

  16. The bishop never "ruled" on this. People sure can create their own version of what the Church requires for judgements on PRs. In fact the evidence of this is that Fr. Michel is permitted to continue the Fraternity and the completion of the monasteries and be the head of this newly formed Fraternity, itself in good standing with the Church, whose constitution has the bishop's approval for a period of years....all of this currently continuing to happen within the territory of the diocese under this bishop. And, .... of evidence for the continuance of this rather unique creation.....is that its reason for creation came out of the alleged mystical experiences/messages, iow, the PR in question, given to Fr. Michel to create such for these times. That in itself is proof that this mission of Fr. M has not been stopped. Akins should start his own Church that has no official protocol for this area and can simply be judged via opinions, and opinions that themselves are in opposition to what the Church herself has already accepted. Would never hold up.

  17. The latest from the California couple, the husband of which receives number/s from the Fr. Gobbi Blue Book to read as if happening now. The couple has held a Marian Movement of Priests cenacle in their home for years and has had Fr. Seraphim of Divine Mercy as their spiritual director:

On October 8th, 2020, this Californian soul “saw” the number 539 from the Blue Book, a message originally given to Fr. Stefano Gobbi on March 11th, 1995 in Fatima, Portugal:

    My Secret

In this my venerated shrine, I welcome you all, my beloved ones and children consecrated to me, that I may enclose you all within the safe refuge of my Immaculate Heart.

Here, I appeared as the Woman clothed in the sun, to point out to you the road along which you must journey, in this century of yours, so ensnared and in the possession of the Spirit of Evil.

Here, I came from heaven to offer you the refuge in which to take shelter at the moment of the great struggle between me and my Adversary, and in the painful hours of the great tribulation and chastisement.

Here, I caused the Marian Movement of Priests to spring up and, by means of this little son whom I have brought to every part of the world during these years, I have formed for myself the cohort, now ready for the battle and for my greatest victory.

I want you here today, spiritually united with this son of mine, as a great cenacle of my Movement is being held before the image of your heavenly Mother placed in the very spot where I appeared to the three children, Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia. Here, I am gathering you all round about me and expressing to you my pleasure, for the way in which you have accepted the invitation to become part of the Marian Movement of Priests, to consecrate yourselves to my Immaculate Heart and to spread everywhere cenacles of prayer among priests, children, youth, and in families.

I want you spiritually here with me, because as of now you are entering into the last Period of time of this century of yours, when the events which I have predicted to you will come to their complete fulfillment. For this reason, here in the very place where I appeared, I want today to reveal to you my secret.[1]

    My secret concerns the Church.

In the Church, the great apostasy, which will spread throughout the whole world, will be brought to its completion; the schism will take place through a general alienation from the Gospel and from the true faith. There will enter into the Church the man of iniquity, who opposes himself to Christ, and who will bring into her interior the abomination of desolation, thus bringing to fulfillment the horrible sacrilege of which the prophet Daniel has spoken (Mt 24:15).

    My secret concerns humanity.

Humanity will reach the summit of corruption and impiety, of rebellion against God and of open opposition to his law of love. It will know the hour of its greatest chastisement, which has already been foretold to you by the prophet Zechariah (Zec 13:7-9).

Then this place will appear to all as a bright sign of my motherly presence, in the supreme hour of your great tribulation.[2] From here, my light will spread to every part of the world and from this fount will gush the water of Divine Mercy, which will descend to irrigate the barrenness of a world, now reduced to an immense desert. And in this, my extraordinary work of love and of salvation, there will appear to all the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of her who is invoked as Mother of Mercy.

I would simply like to say that whether or not you support and/or believe Fr. Michele, or any of the seers on CTTK website, that what is most important is our prayers for them. If these folks are truly receiving visions, then we must understand that they may be coming from Satan. If that's the case, then what Fr. M and others need are our prayers.

For all of us to pray for folks at CTTK, even if they are wrong, would show our humility and love for ALL of Gods children.

I remember one article on Father M said something along the lines of “it would take the Pope himself to condemn the messages for the believers of Father M to convince them they’re not true.” Unfortunately I don’t think even that would be enough for some people at this point.

  20. To me, the most important issue has always been that of so little time given seemingly by God for the proper and timely dissemination of Fr. Rodrigue’s purported prophesies. Well, I am glad to know that this very point was saved for last in the talk to highlight it’s importance for clinching the deal. I’ve been trying to say this for MONTHS but just didn’t have the right words, I’m guessing. Just go to minute 102:00 and take a listen from that point until the end. They nailed it. I’m grateful. ~AN
