Hearst, September 9,2020

Subject: Messages and prophecies of Father Michel Rodrigue


Brothers and sisters,

For a few months now, we have been hearing about Father Michel Rodrigue, a priest who worked in our parishes from 1989 to 1996. Father Michel Rodrigue then left the diocese and moved to Montreal to join the Sulpicians. Therefore, we had no news of him for many years.

Although he is still incardinated in our diocese, he has worked in the diocese of Amos since 2011 . In addition to having been parish priest, he also organized retreats and other activities in the Amos Diocese and elsewhere. He even introduces himself as "the apostle of the last days" and "an official exorcist of the Church". His presentations may be found on various websites. Father Rodrigue even declared that his messages and prophecies were supported by Bishop Lemay, the Bishop of Amos,who strongly denied any such support.

In union with Bishop Lemay, I express total disavowal of the messages and prophecies presented by Father Michel Rodrigue. I also refute his claim to be "an official exorcist of the Church".

Father Rodrigue currently has no pastoral charge or function in the Diocese of Amos nor in our diocese. He still resides in the Diocese of Amos.

I pray for all the faithful who may have experienced moments of anguish in the face of Father Rodrigue's words and presentations.

Fr. Michel’s Messages Are Not Condemned
Yesterday, Bishop Robert Bourgon joined Bishop Gilles Lemay in publishing his own personal “disavowal” of Fr. Michel’s messages. However, yet again, no formal condemnation has been issued, and these statements remain the personal opinions of the prelates themselves — opinions which they are of course entitled to express, but which are not binding upon the faithful in accordance with how these Bishops themselves have chosen to word them and promulgate them. (If, on the other hand, a formal condemnation were to be issued, we would immediately obey by removing Fr. Michel’s material from this website.) We note that Bishop Robert phrased his own “disavowal” as being “in union with Bishop Lemay,” who, in turn, has phrased his disavowal of Fr. Michel’s messages in relation to his own “absolute” rejection of prophecies of the Warning, the Chastisements, the Three Days of Darkness, and the Era of Peace (all of which we have extensively documented, on this website, as being contained in countless approved revelations).

For readers who may be confused as to what exactly a formal condemnation is and why the various existing statements pertaining to Fr. Michel do not amount to one, we are including below an example of such a condemnation of a recent alleged apparition:[1]

 

I also felt the same when I read this. While advising against the desire for material possessions seems fairly in line with a general detachment from the world mentality we’ve seen elsewhere in private revelations and in Scripture itself, I have a hard time imagining Our Lady discouraging us from pursuing our God-given skills and talents, particularly if they are used to bring about His Kingdom. Though it is possible it was only meant in a more general sense, i.e. placing too much emphasis on worldly “career goals” or not trying to make as much progress in our spiritual lives. Regardless, I cannot recall another message that communicated such hopelessness.

 

Your post has hit on something that has troubled me reading all the debates on these alleged messages.

First, we seem to have lost the plot on how we have been advised to view messages even by the Apostles. Didn't they say, take all that is good and leave the rest to God.

Every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to be behaving like the official devils advocate appointed by the Pope to decide who is and who is not to be judged authentic by God Himself.

I noticed on one thread the contact details for some Bishop now deemed to be Father Rodrigue's new Bishop. I was chilled to the bone, it seemed like a come hither to everyone who wanted to get straight to the Bishop and hound him about Father R. This does not feel like discernment to me, it feels like mob rule.

And case in point. I saw that Father James Martin, who seems to be allowed to preach Democrat Party lines like it belongs in the Gospel, published the contact details for Father Altman's Bishop, so people could get onto that Bishop if they wanted to complain about his sermon telling everyone it is a sin to vote for political candidates who support and bring into law; laws which are against the Commandments of God. My immediate reaction was who does Father Martin represent, to rabble rouse so blatantly.

The devil spends every hour of every day and every night harassing Almighty God reminding Him of our every sin and failure, demanding rights over our souls when we sin. Jesus Christ on the other hand is before Almighty God reminding Him of all the suffering He endured to beg for Mercy for us poor sinners, and trying to save us in spite of ourselves. Does "Father forgive them, they know not what they do" ring any bells.

Whose side do we think we are supporting when we continually broadcast the faults and failings of others. And get onto the Bishops to make them do our perceived will. This attitude is not from God.

I reckon more jaw jaw, (prayer) and less war war, (harassing Bishops) would be in order for us so called foot soldiers in Christ. A little Julia Rant.

 

I am unspeakably sad about all of this.

 

Your post reminded me of a saint who was once asked what would he do if he heard the world was about to end. He replied, if I was digging the garden, I would carry on digging the garden until the end. We should carry on living our normal lives, while saying our prayers and keeping the Faith. IMHO
