Just seeing this now Donna, praying for Brian throughout the day and forward. I will also include Rory's, Beth's children and all the forums intentions. So many are suffering.
Thank you all so very, very much for prayers for JP. . Our poor children living with so much anxiety....as are adults. My worry for the young is more that they have longer to live this life in a world in so much turmoil...unlike anything in our adult lives. They definitely feel this. We had problems in our youth, but these poor kids have witnessed so much more and it deprives them of hope. All we can do is pray and try to guide....in the end, we are all in Gods good hands and providence. Thank you all!!!
So well said. So true. We want to save them pain but as CS Lewis once said sometimes pain is God's megaphone. I have certainly experienced this.
"Deprive them of hope"--that nails it. The devilish weapon of no hope. We can assure them and pray for them and trust Jesus to reveal Himself. "No one who ever hoped in Me was disappointed." It says this over and over in scripture.
Amen! Sometimes God seems slow in responding, Donna. (Consider Soldier's testimony). But our saving Lord, as He has done in all His plans and timings, works to bring healing grace not to just your son, but to all whose lives intersect Brian's. Think how he has brought us together here to direct our prayers on behalf of your family! God is so good. Father, we reject the temptation to question your saving Presence in the hearts of Donna's family members, especially Brian. May the Two Hearts work a marvel that we may all soon rejoice in! Proverbs 3:6 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
I would recommend asking for St Dymphna's intercession as well. I have a novena to her that I received several years ago that I use periodically. It's possible there may be one listed online somewhere. Lifting your son up in prayer.
