Yes the dream about the ship must be about the Church and the new Pope.Interesting because St John Bosco's dream also had the Church as a ship. Maryrose I have no doubt at all now that the Earth is going to be hit by a swarm of meteorites. I have dreamed this too often. I would bet money on it that this is one of the secrets of Medugorje.
Padraig I don't know if you saw the programme the other night about the meteorites in Russia, some people mentioned it on another thread. I only caught the end of it, but something they said in it seemed very significant to me. It was to do with people reporting that they felt an intense heat coming from the meteor, even though this initially was at odds with what the scientists had thought about meteorites (they said there should not be heat). They said it was like the summer had arrived all of a sudden. It made me think of what happened at Fatima with the miracle of the sun, when everyone had been soaked to the skin from the rain, and then their clothes were suddenly dry. It made me think that the warning, "like the collision of two stars," will in fact be meteorites and perhaps this is what the miracle of the sun was meant to show us. Perhaps this meteor shower will be so intense and terrifying that for everyone in the world it will be like that moment before death, when your life is said to flash before your eyes, and you see the true condition of your soul. Just my own thoughts on this!
Okay, I was not planning on posting anything about some dreams I experienced but since Padraig has started this thread about dreams, and some of you have experienced similar dreams to my own, I feel like I can share them with you. I originally contacted Padraig privately about them because they stuck with me. Please note that I am not saying these dreams are prophetic. They just stuck with me. Let me know what you think ... Dream one: I am standing on a hill side in southwestern USA (Arizona, Nevada) and I"m looking up toward a large mesa formation. There is a group of people standing to my right and a neighborhood to my left with newly built homes ... no trees. It appears that, as a group, we are beyond a dead end in the street -- maybe a couple of hundred yards away. Anyway, in the dream I am looking up hill toward the mesa and I notice a dark cloud over it. It is perhaps a half mile from me and I can see what appears to be a heavy rain falling around the base of it and the rain is moving in our direction. I say something to the group of people to my right but they ignore me and go on talking. I continue to watch the approaching rain. It is very heavy as the drops are kicking up a cloud of dust as they land. It is then that I notice is is not rain at all but heated rocks of some kind -- meteors or volcanic ash. Quickly, the rocks begin to land close by me and I shout to the people but they continue to ignore me. I turn to look at the nearby houses and I can see the rocks landing on them, crashing through the roofs, causing a lot of damage. The people near me begin to scream and my thoughts go to saving my family! I begin running but instead of going toward the houses I move diagonally up the slope to a cave I know (unconsciously) is there. The dream ends and I know that "somehow" my family safe. I don't remember them being in the cave with me. I can still see the mesa in my mind with the approaching dark cloud over head. It is still unnerving to dwell on it. What is more bothersome is how those around me paid no attention to it, especially as I tried to warn them of its approach. Dream two: I am standing in a room overlooking a beautiful river valley flanked on the left by mountains with a town directly ahead of me -- maybe a mile or two away. Mountains are behind it. i get the sense it is somewhere in Colorado or Wyoming by the terrain (Rocky Mountains with snow on the peaks). For some reason, I lean more toward Wyoming. Anyway, meteors or volcanic rocks begin landing in the town in the distance as I look on. Fires are starting and destruction is happening. As I watch, I then see volcanic magma come from the left and begin to swallow the town. It has come down a valley from the left. As I watch this I think to myself I must contact my family to say goodbye and then I must say my peace to the Lord before I die. Then I wake up. Again, I am not saying my dreams are special or prophetic. All I can say is that they left an impression on me and nagged me.
Wow that is vivid. If I had a dream like that, it would be hard to shake that feeling from my mind for days to come....
Sure hope its not Yellowstone! That would cook my goose...lol I'd rather be standing on ground zero than to go through it all.
"Before the comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be scourged by want and famine. The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent will be devestated by earthquake, storm, and tidal wave. It will be divided and, in great part, submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea and lose its colonies" John of Vitiguerro - Thirteenth Century
I think this is the comet of the Chastisement if man does not repent - Akita 'fire falling from the sky' - much, much worse than meteorites. Yves Dupont's book Catholic Prophecy has a comet on the front cover & the sub heading is 'The Coming Chastisement'. I also wonder if it is this comet that causes the Three Days of Darkness?
Regarding the Three Days of Darkness, I was wondering about this event and how it plays into the times ahead. Interestingly enough, Emmett O'Regan posted a curious take on it that I have never heard before: http://unveilingtheapocalypse.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-three-days-of-darkness-and-angelic.html
Goodness that Emmett O'Regan is very well read on his subject matter. I will tell you anohter dream I had many years ago. I dreamt I was standing in a very dark place, supended with no sky above me nor gorund below me. A darkness approcahed me even darker than the dark around and I knew it was Satan. He reached out to me and a very fierce pain shot through me, it was as though every molecule in me was was breaking apart, a bit like being electrocuted. I knew I was on the very point of death and a very painful death. Then I saw what looked like a star shoot acros the dark towards us and as it held his hand up the pain stopped, the garkness wihtdrew itself and I knew it was St Michael the arcangel. THen I heard the devil spaek in a gravelly discordant , harsh voice. 'Why do you bother with these cattle??' .amd as he said the word cattle his voice was filled with infinite disdain....but Michael held his hand up again and I woke up from my dream very shaken. It reminds me of what St Bridgid of Sweden said one time. The devil approached her and she asked who it was. To which the devil replied: 'I am darkness itself'.
I had a rather amusing dream last night regarding the new Pope. I was very excited when he was revealed because he was very, very young (as in, early 20s) and not even a cardinal but in fact a newly-ordained priest. But he was incredibly holy and pure, and wise far beyond his years. He was very much a David-like figure. And the best part: he was Irish. Oh dear, I think I can dream on...
Thomas - thank you for sharing your dreams! Whether or not they are prophetic, hard to say as you mention. I read somewhere that the themes of our dreams are often about something we thought about just before falling asleep. For myself, when I do remember my dreams, it seems to hold true. I don't have dreams of this intensity or nature though. Anyhow, I'll share with you my thoughts on your dreams: For Dream 1, I can relate (as I'm sure others can) to the theme of this dream because I often feel like I can scream from the rooftops that life as we know it is going to change dramatically but people just seem to chalk it up to overreaction or that I'm overly religious. I think the same can be said for most Catholic and Christians, in general, even those attending church each week. The changes in nature, the pope resigning, numerous Marian messages, priests homilies, etc., don't seem to sink in for so many people. We live in an age where people aren't going to take notice until their comfortable lives are greatly changed and consider it may be a result of societal separation from God. People need to be shaken up to take notice. God knows that there are people that will try to chalk up natural events to enviromental changes so, I'm sure, there will be unusual events (some have already begun to occur) that won't be able to be explained by science. For Dream 2, while again it may not be prophetic, I believe God works in mysterious ways. He gives us messages day or night. This seems to be a message to be prepared because we know not what will happen tomorrow. Again, thank you for sharing your dreams. While I'm sure they can be frightening, there is a blessing to you in them, I am sure of that. Peace and prayers to you!
Thanks Tina. Perhaps you have a gift of int erpretation? Adoremus, my mother used to say if ever and Irishman became Pope she would leave the Church. With seven sons and a husband like she had, she mght have had a point. Sigh after th abuse scandals we are probably the last place in the world they would come looking.
I've since received a lovely insight into this dream. On Thursday night I read in my Magnificat these words from St Peter Julian Eymard: "The holy will of God always blows favourable winds into the sails of our little barque; but we must keep our sails unfurled and taut, and look ahead towards Jesus Christ."
Pope Benedict liked an English beer from Kent called 'Spitfire' and English bishops would take him supplies when they went to Rome. He was also fascinated by English beer mats and liked the bishops to bring him interesting examples.
....But, in St John Bosco's dream, the "wind" was always blowing in favor of the enemy of the Church. It strikes me in the dream you are discussing, that the ship (the church) makes an unexpected 90 degree turn, goes with the wind, and all seems smooth...............
