Kamala Harris’s Anti-Catholic Bigotry By ALEXANDRA DESANCTIS August 11, 2020 Someone might want to remind Joe Biden, who’s just picked progressive California senator Kamala Harris as his running mate, that his vice-president-to-be believes Catholics are unfit to serve in our nation’s courts. (Biden, of course, as I considered at length on the homepage today, has spent his entire political career invoking his Catholic faith.) In late 2018, while evaluating the nomination of Brian Buescher to serve as a district judge in Nebraska, Harris posed a series of questions insinuating that his involvement in the Knights of Columbus — a charitable Catholic fraternal organization — disqualified him from serving on the bench. Here’s one of her written questions: Since 1993, you have been a member of the Knights of Columbus, an all-male society comprised primarily of Catholic men. In 2016, Carl Anderson, leader of the Knights of Columbus, described abortion as “a legal regime that has resulted in more than 40 million deaths.” Mr. Anderson went on to say that “abortion is the killing of the innocent on a massive scale.” Were you aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed a woman’s right to choose when you joined the organization? She went on to ask Buescher whether he was “aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed marriage equality when [he] joined the organization” and whether he had “ever, in any way, assisted with or contributed to advocacy against women’s reproductive rights.” Harris’s colleague, Democratic senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, went a bit further, asking Buescher whether he intended to “end [his] membership with this organization to avoid any appearance of bias” — in other words, intimating that she would withhold her vote at least until he had left the Knights of Columbus. These two Democrats were, in short, suggesting that belonging to a Catholic group with millions of members, which has been an important charity in the U.S. for more than a century, renders an individual unfit to serve as a judge. More sinister even than that, Harris used Buescher’s membership in the Knights of Columbus as a pretext to insinuate that opposition to abortion, a core component of Catholic teaching on the dignity and value of human life, disqualifies an individual from the bench. Buescher eventually was confirmed, and at the behest of Nebraska senator Ben Sasse, the Senate later voted unanimously to reaffirm the constitutional clause forbidding religious tests for public officeholders. Harris is a joke. Californian with lots and lots of baggage. She can't be pres so she can't switch out but I am sure the Dems are not finished. I have read in multiple sources that Obama just does not want the job. We will see. However, the Congress seats have just become hugely important. We need to PRAY very hard that we take back the House and keep the Senate. If Biden runs to election and manages to win, Pelosi will be switched out. Her "I have just been taking leadership classes" comment now makes sense. How horrible would that be. Pelosi is square on the dark side. The junior senator from California clearly sees an opening to her real objective: the presidency of the United States. With Biden surprisingly outlasting the other anti-American socialist candidates, Harris recognizes that Biden's age and declining cognitive abilities pose a glorious opportunity to resurrect her presidential ambitions. After all, there is an good chance that the bumbling, incoherent Biden might have to resign or be removed in his first term and his V.P. would succeed him. Even if Biden managed to miraculously finish his first term, it is unlikely that he would or could run for a second. Harris would love to "back door" her way into the presidency, especially given the fact that her vacuous campaign was an unmitigated disaster, and any future presidential ambitions looked to be a virtual impossibility only a few months ago. But not so fast. Harris is constitutionally ineligible to be VPOTUS (12th Amendment) or POTUS (Article 2). She is not — nor can she ever be — a natural born citizen, the highest standard of citizenship mandated by the Constitution for the president and commander-in-chief. The Founding Fathers wanted a higher standard of citizenship for the POTUS because they did not want any competing allegiances with foreign governments. Harris was born in Oakland, California on October 20, 1964, to an Indian citizen mother and a Jamaican citizen father. Thus, Harris is a native-born American citizen, or a citizen pursuant to what I refer to as the anchor baby provision of the 14th Amendment. I wrote to Senator Harris on Dec. 4, 2017, expressing that the presidential eligibility clause, Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 mandates that the president must be a natural born citizen. She and her campaign replied with a form letter that purposely ignored the issue. But wait, there is more! Harris may be a native-born American citizen by the accident of her birth and in my opinion an erroneous 14th Amendment interpretation, but she is also a citizen of Jamaica. Under Chapter 2 of the Constitution of Jamaica, a person born in Jamaica after August 5, 1962, or born outside Jamaica after that date to a parent who is a Jamaican citizen, is automatically considered a Jamaican citizen at birth. Furthermore, under current Jamaican legislation, citizens of Jamaica can hold multiple nationalities. And this status does not prohibit serving in the legislature of Jamaica! Imagine that: a vice president or president of the United States with concurrent citizenship with another foreign government — a person with clearly divided loyalties and an ability and opportunity to participate in governmental proceedings of another country, travel on another country's passport, and legally take up residence in that country. Specifically, Chapter 2 (entitled Citizenship) of the Jamaica Constitution, Section 3C states: Every person born outside Jamaica shall become a citizen of Jamaica - on the sixth day of August 1962, in the case of a person born before that date; or on the date of his/her birth, in the case of a person born on or after the sixth day of August 1962, if, at that date, his/her father or mother is a citizen of Jamaica by birth, descent, or registration by virtue of marriage to a citizen of Jamaica. Harris was born Oct. 20, 1964, and her father was a citizen of Jamaica at the time of her birth. Therefore, the law of Jamaica is clear: Kamala Harris is a citizen of Jamaica, pursuant to Section 3Cb of the Constitution of Jamaica. And what about citizenship of India? Harris's mother was a citizen of India and, to the best of my knowledge, never actually became an American citizen. Does Kamala qualify for Indian citizenship, too? No, she does not. Under Indian law, dual citizenship is not allowed. However, Indian law does allow persons of Indian origin certain benefits and privileges. A PIO (persons of Indian origin) card may be issued to those holding U.S. passports, who can prove their Indian origin up to three generations before along with spouses of Indian citizens or persons of Indian origin. The PIO card is valid for fifteen years and provides the following benefits: · exemption from registration at a Foreigners' Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for periods of stay less than 180 days · enjoy parity with non-resident Indians in economic, financial, and educational fields · acquire, hold, transfer, or dispose of immovable properties in India, except for agricultural properties · open rupee bank accounts, lend in rupees to Indian residents, and make investments in India, etc. · being eligible for various housing schemes under the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) or the central or State governments · their children can obtain admission in educational institutions in India in the general category quota for non-resident Indians It should be noted that PIO card–holders are not entitled to the following: · the exercise of any political rights · visits to restricted or protected areas without permission · mountaineering, research, and missionary work without permission. It would be interesting to find out if Harris ever held or currently holds a PIO card. Thus, Kamala Harris, United States senator, former candidate for the president of the United States, and current prospective candidate for vice president in the upcoming election, has competing foreign citizenship with the country of Jamaica and preferential status with the country of India. If Harris is picked by Biden, what does that say about the vetting process? Americans would be asked to vote for a ticket that has a foreign citizen candidate — precisely the type of candidate that the Founding Fathers were trying to preclude. What sense does that make? The whole purpose of Article 2 and the natural born citizen requirement is to ensure that the president and commander-in-chief have no foreign influence whatsoever. Clearly, Kamala Harris has no respect for the Constitution. Her lack of transparency regarding her background combined with her naked political ambition is an affront to all law-abiding citizens and those who seek to uphold the Constitution. See, all signs point towards the Democratic establishment using this man’s name recognition so that they can handpick the POTUS after the National Convention. I believe it is possible that the Democratic establishment, unbeknownst to former Vice President Biden, could be planning on a Biden win strictly so that they can create a vacancy on the ticket that only they can fill. Once former Vice President Biden is on the ticket, the Democratic establishment could declare him too cognitively unfit to fulfill his role. This would leave a vacancy on the ticket. As Vice President Biden seems to be struggling with memory and speech tasks, is he also being used by a Party he supported for decades? Perhaps Biden does have early stages of dementia, or perhaps he is just stressed. Regardless, I believe that if Biden wins the nomination, they will find a way to remove him from the ticket “due to a decline in health.” After this vacancy is established, the Democrats are free to arbitrarily replace Biden with whomever they want. Consider how the Democrats fill vacancies on their tickets: “Filling a Vacancy on the National Ticket: In the event of death, resignation or disability of a nominee of the Party for President or Vice President after the adjournment of the National Convention, the National Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee shall confer with the Democratic leadership of the United States Congress and the Democratic Governors Association and shall report to the Democratic National Committee, which is authorized to fill the vacancy or vacancies.” So, to be clear, the vacancy would be decided by Tom Perez (a 2016 Clinton superdelegate), Steny Hoyer (a 2016 Clinton superdelegate), Jim Clyburn (a 2016 Clinton superdelegate), Chuck Schumer (a 2016 Clinton superdelegate), Dick Durbin (a 2016 Clinton superdelegate), and the DGA will decide on their own who will be our Democratic nominee. Consider that in 2016, Donna Brazille, the Interim Chair for the DNC at the time who replaced Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had seriously considered replacing Hillary Clinton with Joe Biden even though Biden hadn’t even run for president that year. While Brazile couldn’t unilaterally make that decision, a non-candidate had been seriously considered when Hillary’s health was in question after a fall. The point is, if Joe Biden is our nominee and is subsequently removed from the ticket, the voters have no remaining say in who becomes the President. I think that the Biden/Harris dream team is basically the same caliber as the McCain/Palin that lead to Obama's second term. In other words, I don't think they have a chance. Maybe that's intentional or maybe they just don't have anyone available that has a chance of winning and they know it so they threw it Bidens way like they did McCain. If the election is drug out over the course of weeks due to mail in ballots and as we have seen in WA (where we have had mail in voting for a decade) ballots keep being "found" I would assume that the president will cry foul and some emergency measure (like some sort of oversight) will take precedent that the media will run with and stir up the hornets nest of Antifa commies to burn things down with impudence.
