I am not a fan of Michael Brown at Spirit Daily. However, he posted something recently that may be of interest. It concerns an alleged messenger from the Countdown website, Gisella Cardia. (Brown also included a warning on a new prophet, someone he does not name.)

"Cardia’s apparitions allegedly occur in Trevignano Romano, Italy, and began in 2016 following a visit to Medjugorje, where she purchased a statue that has since wept blood.

"I’m open-minded — though I must say when blood clots on the face of the Blessed Mother, when it is unsightly, it gives me great pause.

So does the fact that her “stigmata” looks more like amateur tattoos.

"I would put this aside for now — in a “suspense account.” The same is true with another “seer” making the rounds with startling prophecies of a time when, during “The Warning,” planes will even be frozen mid-air.

"I don’t find that plausible, and I was greatly concerned — and have reached a negative discernment — about this “seer” when I watched a Youtube video of him saying something strange. I don’t want to get into the details. Be careful. Everyone can be deceived."

Just posting an interesting fact about Christine Watkins, founder of the Countdown website. The forward to her book, The Warning, was written by Bishop Gavin Ashenden. Ashenden was at that time an Anglican cleric, "chaplain to the Queen" and an expert in New Age religions. He was also a very vocal supporter of Vassula Ryden. Ashenden has recently become Catholic.

The book does not have an imprimatur or nihil obstat from the Catholic Church.

All the Countdown founders are linked to Vassula, one way or another! Something else to consider carefully in judging them and their discernment.

    Wow, great info.

Poster Prince of peace has said before that Vassula is the head of this line of thinking, and the more we find out the more I believe him to be right on this.

Very true! Seems to me, defiance of wearing one is more about personal pride than anything else. I just don't see a cause for objection, especially indoors. Again, my humble opinion.

The CDF at the Vatican issued authoritative guidelines on Vassula and reiterated them. This overrules any action by these two bishops, neither of whom ever had any authority over Vassula, as she is Greek Orthodox, not Catholic.

I believe we are not supposed to promote Vassula on this forum, but I will post this Vatican approved information from EWTN

    Authored By: CDF
    Vassula Ryden/True Life in God

Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

The following documents of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith have been issued on the subject of the writings and activities of Vassula Ryden, a Greek Orthodox, and author of True Life in God.

Notification (6 October 1995) Questions the teaching contained in her writings, instructs bishops not to permit dissemination of her ideas, and cautions the faithful not to regard the writings as being from God.

Press Release (December 1996) Re-asserts the authority of the Notification, following certain interpretations attributed to Cardinal Ratzinger by Mrs. Ryden's followers. Also contains a useful general statement regarding the duty of the Church's Pastors about the dissemination of alleged private revelations.

Letter to Presidents of [certain] Bishops Conferences (10 July 2004) Informs the presidents of episcopal conferences, where the True Life in God movement is active, about clarifications of her writings published in True Life in God, vol. 10. It calls on Catholics "to follow the dispositions of the Diocesan Bishops" with regard to participation in her ecumenical prayer gatherings (a change from the absolute prohibition of the 1995 Notification). Nothing in this letter, however, indicates a modification of the statement in the 1995 Notification suggesting that the writings are "merely the result of private meditations."

Letter to Presidents of Episcopal Conferences (25 January 2007)
Reaffirms the validity of the doctrinal judgments of the 1995 Notification, affirms that her writings, which are not to be considered divine revelations, must be read within the context of the clarifications which she made to the Congregation in 2004, and notes that Catholic participation in the prayer groups organized by the True Life in God movement are "inappropriate."

  9. And that's obviously all you saw....true to your form of leaving out the meat of true facts!

  10. Earth, Frodo does NOT leave out “the meat of true facts”, as I have observed. Quite the opposite, in fact.

  11. Perhaps your reference could include what is pushed to be considered as "meat" today.....that is, what is disguised as meat while it contains no meat in reality!

  12. Quis ut Deus has said that we should not promote anything about Vassula on the forum or he will delete it.

  13. Then why did all those naysayers bring up the topic again? Are they abiding by the made up and obviously out of touch with the Church's own established facts here? I didn't know that the forum was established to dismiss the fulness of the Church!

    Done.

  16. So I see now that the forum, via its "staff members" has become just another Facebook or Twitter, that is banning the fullness of the facts that might inform others of what the Church actually says when those facts may go against the biased limited opinions of those who desire only that their misinformation goes out. Very uncharitable towards the victims of such intentional misinformation. No longer for the truth but for conforming to the world.....no different than the secular world. Too bad, but then human nature w/ its defects can be seen even at those places that one assumes would go against such controls.
