Yes, I remember hearing that, about the locations of churches in Europe. Lost knowledge. (Also "lost knowledge"-- every altar is supposed to contain a relic, but I've never been in a parish church where they knew who the saint was, or made any point of it.)
Yes that is a wonderful example, but I was also referring to the rose drawn by the placement of churches above.
The main Cathedral and the Seat of the Church in Ireland is Armagh City. It was a main religious site for millenia before this. (The oldest sites in Ireland are older than the pyramids) But Archeologists have some new method of uncovering underground sites, I am not sure how it works. But anyway they have uncovered a huge religious site there, a kind of underground city the last week or so. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ire...age-temples-uncovered-at-navan-fort-1.4306168 It's interesting that they are starting now to discover these very ancient sites all over the world at the moment because of this new technology. As though God was trying to tell us something from the Secrets of the Past.
There are many mysteries on earth, but knowing that there is technology to find old structures doesn't exactly reassure me since these tools are probably used more for evil than for God in this world. But God also reveals things to us. Have you ever heard testimonies of Tim Bence? He is a protestant, perhaps an evangelical, and a very devoted, prayerful man and has a mission where the Lord speaks to him and sends him to places to destroy ancient altars. He has a very interesting story about Canaanite alters that rest directly below the place on Jeckyll Island where the Federal Reserve was created. There isn't much about him on the internet, but I did hear an interview with him years ago (perhaps the one I linked to above, I can't remember), where he talks about being sent to places all over the world precisely to destroy altars through prayer, Many churches I'm sure were built over pagan sites to sanctify them and break their power.
Divine revelation to mankind has been progressive throughout the millennia from early man worshiping nature culminating in the revelation of Christ Himself. Now we wait for the revelation of the end of times. Discovering ancient sites of worship around major Christian sites such as Armagh does not surprise me, as these sites were known to be holy in pre-Christian times
The writings of Blessed Catherine Emmerich are so interesting on this. For instance she says God gave the Ancient Egyptians insight into the Blessed Virgin Mary but they misinterpreted it. I visited Egypt one time and passed the site of the modern Marian Apparitions at Zeitoun. They say that the Holy Family stayed here in Egypt and that this is where the ancient temple dedicated to Our Lady was.
Hey Jason, there should be a Saint Michael point in Cornwall England ! I don't know without checking the source this came from which other places are on this line. But Ireland, England and France are definitely on the line. It was posted somewhere on this Forum before.
oic Julia, thanks for pointing that out, I just took that photo from Google Images without taking a closer look at the details.
Zeitoun is worth noting, that was some apparitions and witnessed by hundreds if not thousands. It's sad if one reads of persecution over there. Amazing. For those unaware, back around I think 1969, the Virgin Mary appeared atop a church like this. There is film of it. An apparent event in 2009, very recent. I wasn't aware of this.
