I am very glad to have found this discussion (and forum). I have followed and been promoting Fr Rodrigue since at least November 2018 and have wished someone had examined or investigated him for a while now. I do not think Miravalle's criticisms are valid except number 4. But after writing a long response to a friend of mine last night and reading this discussion, I have several concerns of my own: some old, some new. Also I have had interaction with the folks at CTTK over the last several years and should make public grave concerns with O'Connor and Mallet especially. Again, I think the discussion is helpful to me and hopefully others as we are warned by Our Lord of False prophets in these times and I have discovered that (almost) no one in the Church is presently safeguarding the flock. God bless
Dear MOG Members, I highly respect you all and I know you are all good solid Catholic christians. Thats why Im here. I need to be in and about fellow followers of Christ and his mother Mary in these stressful times. I usually find that support here on this forum. Heres the BUT....I find myself ,and as I see alot of you "regulars," spending soo much time on this site that it is interfering with what we REALLY should be doing! That is actually DOING what the Mother of God has asked ..no begged us to do...PRAY PRAY PRAY!! Particularly the Rosary ....the Divine Mercy Chaplet and more! Theres sooo much time spent here chatting about all kinds of things and arguing about who said what about who so that the real work that needs to be done gets left behind!! Theres an intense battle going on all about us between good an evil and we are down here in the trenches "cleaning" the foxhole instead of firing on the enemy!! Ive mentioned before that I strongly feel an urgency in these lock down days about our Ladys requests! The Rosary (Mary said that the world can be saved by the recitation of these prayers)! Thats a big deal!!! The Divine Mercy Chaplet( Christ promised great things for us and others from the recitation of this prayer) He gave US the power to do this by means of his Chaplet!!! WHY aren't we saying this instead of arguing? Very holy priests are asking us to pray powerful novenas asking for the intervention of Heaven in the dangerous times were living in! Why are we wasting time on the computer? Ive already dropped Facebook because it took to much of my time. I dont want to also drop MOG for the same reason, but I need to take a break from posting here cause I do get caught up in the fray!! So now.....GO SAY A ROSARY!!!
Most of the seers on CTTK are dubious at best, others false. The moderators are indiscriminant As to O'Connor, he is not a PhD. I came across him years ago when I was briefly involved with Picarreti's "Divine Will." That is a false mystic. Dr. Iannuzi is brilliant and diabolically clever and disobedient. The bishop has forbidden dissemination including Iannuzzi. I asked him and his organization for their authorization. They have never provided it but rely merely on the approval given his dissertation which Iannuzzi knows is not the same. Picarretti even fooled her own director who is a canonized saint. This false devotion has caused decades of strife and division and many souls leaving the Church. Frs. William Most and John Hardon give the plain reasons it is false. It falls into the heresy of Monothylitism. Secondly it proposes a state higher than mystical union (based on that error) which is impossible. O'Connor has been taken in by that false mystic. His own recent words too show he is very unfamiliar with the Fathers and the Doctors on the End Times. As to Mark Mallet, he quotes any and every mystic without discernment, many of which contradict each other. I questioned him on this several years ago and he wrote me an irate and rather frightening response. Therein he mocked traditional discernment and even scorned St. John of the Cross, one of the 2 Doctors of Mysticism. It's no wonder he has no discernment and clearly had spiritual pride. He is completely untrustworthy. I admit both are enticing at times but on the whole they are misleading folks as to the present confusion and trial. Of all the false (and dubious) mystics they post, Fr Rodrigue was the one I was long interested and had believed him, but I now have a list of concerns and am always (at least a little) sceptical when there is no verification or investigation. That calls for another lengthy post and a correction as regards the timeline based on Scripture as well as Our Lady's words in actual approved apparitions. Hopefully that will bring peace to some or a further discussion into the Truth
Thank you, Ellen. Each person needs to make this decision on his or her own. There might be people who appear by their many, detailed words that they are spending their LIFE on MOG, but we really cannot say how much or how little they are praying OUTSIDE of this forum. Some are most likely members of some third order or association and may pray set hours a day under a rule of life, as one example. This would come second to that. Also, some just think and type much faster than others do. But, I can be somewhat suspicious when what someone has written is rude, condescending and hardly EVER addresses someone else’s comment. Think: Beaten over the head with what they feel obliged by God(?) to tell you. Think: DIATRIBE. But, again, thank you. You’ve inspired me to lift up this entire forum in a special way today in my Rosary. I believe we sorely need it. However, if I still feel I need to post something. out of love for our Holy Church and I believe I am speaking Truth, I will not hesitate. I try not to be rude ever, BUT sometimes I can be sorely tempted to go for the jugular, lol! God bless you! AN
I always realized that there was some serious mistake behind Mark or Father Ianuzzi, Daniel Connor or this Forum member Peter B. when I realized that they were under Vassula's influence it all made sense. they are being used as an instrument of deception. Their pride will never accept that. But one day in the future they will see and cry like a litlle baby.
PRIVATE REVELATION vs. CHURCH TEACHING This is in response to the whole idea of the claim that St. Faustina talked about demons in purgatory and so, therefore, it must be true or she is somehow not legit. Point: Some private revelation of accepted seers on the life of Jesus Christ, for instance, has been known to actually contradict another accepted seer’s account of it. That’s because it needs to be understood through a lens that is much different than that which is used when looking at Sacred Scripture. Example of possible explanation of Faustina’s account: (Credit here goes to “In Nomine Domini” who posted this on the internet back in 2014 in response to something asked by another poster named, “Pythagoras”. I’m wondering if “In Nomine Domini” is an anonymous theologian because the answer is, in fact, a very good one.)~AN InNomineDomini Dec '14 Pythagoras: Then I saw the souls who were doing penance in purgatory. They appeared like shadows, and among them I saw many demons. One of these tried to vex me; taking the form of a cat, he kept throwing himself onto my bed and on my feet, and he was quite heavy, as if [weighing] a ton. In Nomine Domini: I haven’t read the other responses in this thread, and so I apologize if I’m going over ground that has already been covered. But I believe, Pythagoras, that you’re misreading the text. The context, first and foremost, is of a demonic attack, and St. Faustina is simply saying that demons were manifesting themselves in her room, and that the vision of these demons was commingled with visions of souls in purgatory. She’s not seeing, as it were, a vision of purgatory itself. It would be very improper, therefore, to derive any sort of insight into purgatory from this text. I would rephrase the bolded sentences thusly: Then I saw the souls who were doing penance in purgatory. [Note: The saint does not here say that she saw purgatory, but merely the souls of those who are in purgatory.] They appeared [in my room] like shadows, [but] among them I [also] saw many demons [who were likewise manifesting themselves in my room]. When St. Faustina writes that “one of these [demons] tried to vex me,” she’s communicating that these demons are present to her, but she says nothing whatsoever about whether they are present to those in purgatory. Moreover, this passage concludes with our Lord’s words to St. Faustina: ** You are united to Me; fear nothing. But know, my child, that Satan hates you; he hates every soul, but he burns with a particular hatred for you, because you have snatched so many souls from his dominion.** This conclusion is a sort of divine summary of St. Faustina’s experience that night. It contains an explanation of what occurred and why. Following this explanation, we can see clearly that the “souls who were doing penance in purgatory” can very easily be the very souls that St. Faustina had “snatched … from [Satan’s] dominion.” This explains everything; the demonic attack as well as the presence of the holy souls.
Nothing like making fellow posters out to be everything you insinuated through your sarcasm-on-steroids. I’d say, “Thanks”, but then that’d be defeating my purpose here.
Be comforted by the fact that these sorts of disputes go back to the early Church. Nothing has changed. Passionate Catholics argue passionately. Whole schools of philosophy rose out of disputes. Councils too. Things get thrashed out and then the Holy Spirit speaking through the authentic magisterium settles it. But...in all things charity.
You are correct. That wasn't nice nor charitable. I am sorry how I worded it. At lease my deleted post is saved in yours. I'm gonna take a break from MOG for a while. There is no fruit left in this thread anyway. Its one thing to discuss with different viewpoints but that is not what this has become. The fool is me, engaging pointlessly.
For what its worth MMM.Your post (besides being very creative) made me laugh and got right to the point! I did not think that it was not nice nor uncharitable!! I say to those who take offense..."if the shoe fits etc." I feel exactly the same as you about the waste of time that this thread has become. I too am taking a break from the squabbling! I just had to get back on to offer my support.Dont be bullied into apologizing to humorless souls.
Ellen, I’m grateful MMM apologized. By his own admission, he let me know what had motivated him. It showed integrity. It actually makes me want to listen to more he might have to say on this forum, when he returns. (St. Phillip Neri, please intercede—someone here thinks I need a good dose of humor!)
Bottom line for me and others who believe in Father Michel is, NOTHING he has said is contrary to our Catholic faith teachings or scripture! Most of what he has said is shared by a consensus of other credible and approved messengers. This is not enough for the naysayers, but I will leave the rest of the story to Jesus Christ who will judge all our words, thoughts and actions.
John Lawrence Mariani Please Pray for America July 7, 2020 Message from God the Father Dear Readers I was in the Chapel and was called upon God the Father and this is what he said. My child as you know there is a spiritual battle going on in every aspect for the world to enter into a new era. But first the world must go through a purification and enter into a climax. My plan for the world is aligning just like the stars are aligning in space. There are less and less believers every day. Many children are being born not knowing of their salvation which I planned for them...they are being taught to live for themselves. For many years I have let my people live by faith alone without seeing...but now the world doesn't even have faith. There will be a great whaling, there will be famine and it will be hard to find a crust of bread. When the warning comes the silence which I have spoken of will be broken and there will be no question that I exist. After the warning mankind will be on the straight path for awhile but than the chaos of the world will consume mankind. The terror which is about to befall the world will overwhelm them. And they will complain and cry out like the Israelites did. That is when the Anti-Christ will come and say that he has the solution to the worlds problems. At this time the church will be small and many Priests faith will be weak and they will follow this man and leave the faith. http://johnmariani.homestead.com/July-7-2020.html
Earth, Is John Mariani one of the alleged seers published on the Countdown website? If not, perhaps he should get his own thread?
