JULY 2,1961 On the Feastday of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary [traditional calendar], the two angels, who appeared one on each side of Our Lady, were St. Michael and St. Gabriel, the Angel of the Annunciation but also the Angel of supernatural dreams and prophetic revelations, more particularly those related to the divine and universal plan of the salvation of humankind. Gabriel appeared but once at San Sebastian de Garabandal. [Isabel Daganzo, an artist painter, under Conchita's guidance, drew several sketches of these first apparitions. In one illustration of the Blessed Virgin with the two Angels, an "Eye" is drawn at the top.] The "Eye of God" ("ayin" in Hebrew, "ophtalmos" in Greek): what a theme! This word, or expression, in its singular form rarely used in the Bible, is then applied explicitly to the divine omniscience and providence. Given the four previous manifestations of the Shekinah, the eruption of this "Eye of God" who "alone probes the loins and the hearts" and who plunges down into everything and everyone, is not surprising. The iconographic signal here is absolutely correct: in Holy Scripture, indeed, right prevails over left, and top over bottom. In the children's vision. the Eye, placed above Mary, effectively designates Yahweh, who dominates all creation, all times and History itself. At Lourdes, during Her last apparition, July 16, 1858, Mary (the Immaculate Conception) manifested herself to Bernadette, "more beautiful than ever," and not without a profound reason, since it was the Feast of "Our Lady of Mount Carmel" . . . At Fatima, it was the same, Mary having also appeared, for the fourth and the last time on October 13, 1917, under the title and the form of "Nossa Senhora do Carmo." These were undoubtedly prophetic signs of her later "manifestations" at Garabandal: consequently, a fulfilled rendezvous! [Excerpted from "Garabandal" Book, pages 44, 45.]
JULY 2,1961- MARY FIRST APPEARS ! On the Feastday of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary [traditional calendar], about 6pm, at the “cuadro”, in front of a large crowd ( there were eleven priests and many medical doctors present ) the children fall into ecstasy. The Blessed Virgin appears to them accompanied by St. Michael, and St. Gabriel, the Angel of the Annunciation . The four girls see a fiery frame in the midst of which appears a triangle with an eye and a written sign. The unknown letters on the sign seem to be of oriental origin.. In the children's vision. the Eye, "Eye of God" is placed above Mary, effectively designates Yahweh, who dominates all creation, all times and History itself. The four girls describe the features and dress of the Blessed Virgin. “ The Virgin appears in a white garment and a blue mantle with a crown of gold stars on her head. Her hands are delicate but her feet are not visible . The scapular which she wears on her right wrist is of a brownish color with a small mountain designed on it. The Blessed Virgin’s hair is of deep chestnut color, long, slightly waved and parted in the middle. Her face is more long than round with a rather long nose. Her mouth is delicate and very nice with rather full lips. Her complexion is tan but lighter than that of the angel. Her voice is different from the angles, a voice very sweet and very unusual. Its hard to explain. There is no other woman who resembles the Blessed Virgin, either in face, or voice or anything. Sometimes she carries the Child Jesus in her arms. He is very tiny, like a new born babe. His face is round and similar in shade to that of the Virgin. His mouth is very tiny and pretty. He has blond hair, which is slightly long and his hands are tiny. His gown is like azure blue tunic. The Virgin seems to be about eighteen years of age. “

Hi Glenn, I read somewhere that one of the girls other than Conchita had written a diary at the time of the apparitions and that it would only be released on her death, did I pick that up correctly?
I thought I heard a rumor about Mari Loli, but maybe her illness prevented that being completed, before her passing.
THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL - JULY 3,1961 “ The Calls” The Visionaries mention their * “interior calls” for the first time. Fr. Valentin separates the girls, Mary Loli and Jacinta are in Loli’s house while Mari Cruz and Conchita are in Conchita’s, Although they are totally ignorant of the time, they all arrive at the cuadro at exactly the same moment. They are holding out pious objects such as medals, rosaries, wedding rings and pious pictures to be kissed by the Virgin. * There are 3 successive calls prior to the ecstasy, which make up the “interior calls”. “ The Village Speaks“ , pg 21
THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL: JULY 4,1961 There is a 35 minute ecstasy in the evening. The Virgin Mary explains the meaning of the plaque which represents the first part of an important message which the four girls must make known publicly on October 18,1961. The Blessed Virgin gives the text of the Message to the four girls. Here is the first question the Blessed Virgin had asked the children on the previous 2nd of July: "Do you know the meaning of the notice the Angel had under his feet?" - "No, we don't." "It was a Message that I am going to tell you and that you will repeat in public on October 18" (1961): "WE MUST MAKE MANY SACRIFICES, PERFORM MUCH PENANCE, AND VISIT THE BLESSED SACRAMENT FREQUENTLY. BUT, FIRST, WE MUST BE VERY GOOD. IF WE DO NOT, A CHASTISEMENT WILL BEFALL US. THE CUP IS ALREADY FILLING UP, AND IF WE DO NOT CHANGE, A VERY GREAT CHASTISEMENT WILL COME UPON US." A. It would look like the communists have taken over the whole world and it would be very hard to practice the religion, for priests to say Mass or for the people to open the doors of the churches. This is very much like what we have been through recently with Covid & Big Government shut-downs of Churches, no public Masses for 15 weeks - hard to practise our religion - cannot get confession for example - doors of the churches locked etc Perhaps a forerunner of a worse period of tribulation to come in the not too distant future -- In the Oct 1961 message our Lady told us to 'visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently'. Now we cannot visit the Blessed Sacrament and there is a time coming when the doors of our churches may be locked maybe permanently so Garabandal is so deeply prophetic -- I am reading a book at the moment about the Spanish Civil War called The Last Crusade by Warren Carroll -- a marvellous book - I believe what happened to the Church in Spain in the late 1930s is going to happen to us in the near future -- the burning of churches, the toppling of statues and crucifixes; the murder of priests and religious in the hundreds - the persecution of faith - a truly demonic assault on the Church in Spain. Carroll -- "Almost no one outside the Catholic church now knows about the nearly seven thousand priests and religious martyred during the Spanish Civil War" (p 180). The Republicans were a combined force of communists/socialists/anarchists/atheists & were viciously anti Catholic. Revolutionary mobs burned churches, destroyed ancient statues, books, and Catholic schools and slaughtered any religious they found. "Armed rioters massacred their opponents, including many priests and nuns, in the glare of burning buildings. The crash of falling masonry...of firearms...the shrieks of the victims, and the ferocious cheering of their executioners..." (p 65). Elderly, ailing bishops and nuns were harried from their hiding places, or forced to leave their hospital beds, to be sent to prison and then murdered. For no purpose other than hatred; they could hardly be called combatants. When Bishop Asenio was wrenched from prison, he said, "'What a beautiful night...I go to the house of the Lord'" (p 106). After being shot he lived for two hours in great agony, on a pile of corpses. And then the revolutionaries mutilated his body. Revolutionary newspapers, such as the Workers Solidarity in Barcelona screamed "DOWN WITH THE CHURCH...Bishops and cardinals must be shot" (p 111). One Irish volunteer on the Catholic & Nationalist side wrote of his fellow soldiers: "'Pinned to their breasts are little red cloth badges of the Sacred Heart....This is not an army; it is the Church Militant on the march" (p 131).
I disagree. Most have returned to some form of mass now, there was NEVER any Russian "persecution" that caused that loss of mass, nor did I see any priests "hiding" for their life. Sorry but the Tribulation before the Warning hasn't come yet, and when it does, there will be question.
I just came across this video from a priest who is very involved in promoting the apparitions of Our Lady of Garabandal. I think that is worth everyone's time to watch this video. In addition, it is very nice that in the video this priest acknowledges Glenn's efforts in promoting Our Lady of Garabandal.
The first time I listened to this, I almost fell out of my chair ! I am so humbled by his acknowledgment.
I watched the video Garabandal and the Priesthood. God bless the Priest who is working for a fair investigation even after all these years. I also watched the film Garabandal, Unstoppable Waterfall, and although it is not a movie with actors, I was moved to tears at the content. It is almost like watching Blessed Mothers warnings unfold before your eyes, about what was coming from Cardinals, Bishops and Priests and being fulfilled by those who were supposed to be examining the case; but silenced it. God forgive them, they know not what they did. I wonder if in the final analysis we will find ourselves saying; If Only We Had Listened, just like the people in Rwanda. God preserve us all.
WARNING & MIRACLE IN THE “SAME, EVEN,YEAR”. I have shown countless times how I arrived at the Miracle being in the month of April, between the 8-16th. Now Mari Loli only knew the Year of the Warning, and originally she did say it would be "within a year " of the Miracle, BUT later in 1975 she did say more specifically "in the same year " (as the Miracle). Now she also said (under some duress from a priest questioning her) the Warning would be in an "even year". So, if you piece all this together, you can assume the Warning and Miracle are in the same, even numbered year, and if we know the Miracle is in April, the Warning should happen between January 1 and March 31st ( since Conchita will give 8 days notice of the Miracle ). That is my somewhat educated opinion.
