Not sure if it’s been posted already.
If so, apologies for repeating this info.
There is a naked eye comet visible.
It’s in the predawn sky at the moment.
It’s visible from England, so should be visible from Ireland.
It’s won’t be visible from some lower latitudes.
It’s invisible south of the equator.
Anyway, I’ve included a link below for more info.

2020 is shaping up to be an incredible year.

Ahhh... no, no, not really. Traditionally, comets are considered ill omens, foretelling either the deaths of kings or the conquest of nations.

I won't be able to get a glimpse until later this month because it is too low on the horizon here at this point. I hope the weather holds out.

We just returned from a camping trip up on the summit of Snoqualmie pass here in WA. I was able to see comet Neowise each night with crystal clear skies and almost no light pollution with the moon not visible. It was stunning and also a bit foreboding looking as well looking through binoculars.
The first comet I saw was Haley's comet in 1986 and it was not nearly as bright nor had a tail as long as Neowise. We could also see the milky way and Jupiter was quite stunning as well. Very bright.
I was surprised, all the other people I spoke with had no idea there was a comet visible.

How wonderful that you had optimum conditions to see Comet Neowise!!
Were you able to see it with your naked eye? I was able to see it 2 nights ago out in Long Island NY. Had to wait for some haze to disappear. Didn’t give up! Using binoculars I finally found it! It was exhilarating! It’s strange that it appears still but yet it’s traveling at great speed! I agree...it was also a little foreboding too.
I remember seeing the Hale-Bopp comet in 1997 and Haley’s comet in 1986. It’s very exiting!

Yes, it was visible with the naked eye no problem. It looked like a hazy star with a tail of light stretching up behind it toward the Big Dipper. I had no problem finding it or pointing it out to my family. I tried to give them a general area and see if they could pick it out as well unaided first. When they saw it through binoculars though the "Oh WOWWWW's" were really fun to hear. I was glad to be able to show it to them.

Yes, it was clear tonight and the comet was impressive using binoculars.(y)

I've wanted to see it, but we're now into our rainy season. Rain is needed, but ... bad timing!

Glad for you and family though. (y)

I'm pretty sure this was the comet I dreamed about back in February, it was either that or Comet Borisov. Still unsure why I had the dream or the significance of it. Shared about it in the dreams and vision thread at the time.

COMET NEOWISE AND THE AURORA BOREALIS: A slow-moving CME grazed Earth's magnetic field on July 24th. The storm cloud's weak impact did not spark a full-fledged geomagnetic storm, but it did make a nice backdrop for this parting shot of Comet NEOWISE.

    Photographer Beth Colyear.

Comet NEOWISE has faded dramatically since its close approach to Earth on July 23rd, dimming nearly 25-fold. As a result, the comet is no longer easy to see with the unaided eye. As Colyear's photo shows, however, relatively short exposures are still able to capture the comet. Look for it in your camera's viewfinder near the Big Dipper after sunset.

I didn't get to see, for our rainy season. NeowiseAndAurora.jpg
