Even if--I am not sure you are correct--even if Msgr Esseff still believed in the locutionist, the messages proved false.

The false messages, I fear, harmed Msgr. Esseff's reputation. Not to mention, the costs of hiring a lawyer.

Just one more example, of the damages done by false messengers. A strong reason not to promote/accept so many new, unverified, messengers.

You know nothing about the messenger and how the messages were to be interpreted.....leave it to the experts. Obviously approved messages and how they have been treated by Church authorities have had massive damage done to the faithful and many have been interfered with or halted before their time by scam "commissions". You might also want to include that mess (so trusted in by yourself for one) that has so often occurred in more recent decades....far worse "damage" when it involves those with the authoritative mission to communicate heaven's desires to the faithful and willfully fail, content to remain in their prejudices for the sake of reputation. In this area nothing is as black and white as you would so like to fall back on. And even here did all of the messages "prove false"???

Msgr. Esseff's reputation is intact as ever and trusted. Perhaps you would wish otherwise in order to back your assumptions.

All are free to discern and we have the Word that even encourages what you are apparently afraid to tread upon.....that those with the desire for finding more of the Truth about the One Whom they love w/ good will receive that which would be given if everything had proven to be as they had desired....in the "way" that they desired.

I wouldn't project your own fears or desire for repercussions upon others who are apparently freer to examine all of the possibilities.

Msgr Esseff stated a number of times to those who spoke with him at talks that he still backed the locutionist 100%. But remain in your insecurity about that if that makes you feel more secure in your personal conclusions.

Toward the end of his trip, he will have to shift his message and address the new world situation. In this way, I will begin to exalt the Church as a beacon of light in the darkness.

During September, Congress will be voting on the Iran treaty. Terrorism and economic difficulties are the twin evils which will mark the years ahead. All of these good and evil forces, papacy, economic collapse and nuclear war will be merged in a single unforgettable moment, as they all come together in September, 2015.

Today Pope Francis arrives in America. What shall I say of this historic visit? On the surface, will be all the events, the parades, and his words, given with great sincerity.

At a much deeper level, there will be a trembling which few can understand. That exposure of the Church in this pope w/ the powers of the left/ the NWO reps was shown to the world. The FED chief, Yellen, collapsed during her speech, as a symbol, as the FED was hiding the truth of the coming collapse. Again, Trump arrives to destroy the FED and probably the Central Bank!

There are two levels to the papal visit. On one level, the world will welcome him with open arms, listen to his words and applaud his efforts. He will be acclaimed and will gain access to the most powerful bodies in the world. This will be what is reported.

It is not good to delay any more. (heaven's will if not man's accomplishment) Constantly the timetable has been pushed back. The reckoning has been delayed by the clever scheming of those who do not want the truth to come to light. This has only multiplied the problems and complicated the solutions.

It is best for the dam to break now rather than later. The greater the delay, the greater the harm. So, it must happen now (heaven's advice but man's and Church's leader/s' free will is involved) while there is still time because the economy is not the only ill facing mankind.

There will be two series of events, one series in the world and the other in the Church. The first will lead to the second. ( the gift of Trump is exposing the world systems of evil and the exposure of the Church is occurring as well) A new openness will fill the Church. From now on, heaven itself will control the Church. The Church (the purified church) will set aside any worldly thinking, any compromise with worldly methods (even those that seemingly advance the gospel). There are depths to mystical words that are comprehended only by the gifted for that area....who don't have the usual knee jerk reactions to the superficial.

Msgr Esseff has told one that the messages should continue after the Warning!!

The approved prophets/mystics are important to follow. Yet, God is not stagnant. None of the approved messages/messengers were approved when they received what we now know. Some believed them before they were approved most did not. Just as those speaking God's messages today will not be approved till their messages from God come to fruition. The credibility of alleged prophets of our time falls largely on whether they are not contradictory to scripture or church teaching and in alignment with other credible/trustworthy prophets/messengers throughout the world for times.

That they do not contradict scripture is merely requirement to proceed further in discerning - not a sign that the apportion is true.

Also, alignment with other credible/trustworthy “prophets” is not a sogn of credibility. Who gets to choose them? Likely a follower of that “prophet” right? There is no place - No Place - in any authentic Catholic norms that states this is a norm for discernment.

LTTW are FALSE. It is plain as day for anyone who has eyes to see.

I love reading these threads because I am curious, like most people. I generally get a gut feeling that I tend to go with about prophecy. I just don't have the time to chase everything but I admire the people who research and have the knowledge so I cheat....lol... and read these threads. If I get a chaotic sense or a bad feeling I steer clear. Doesn't mean it isn't a good prophecy I just think the Lord is steering me in another direction. But curiosity is a hard thing to dismiss

 

Fatima, I am a person “willing to open (her) ears and mind” to God just like I imagine are most of the people who are members of this forum. In fact, I have observed that many members “take heed” to what they consider to be legitimate. It is unfair to insinuate that those here who don’t give credence to the barrage of alleged rapid-fire “messages” to which you may subscribe are somehow unwilling or closed-minded.

I have the feeling Father Sheier joined the Daughters of the Lamb community after his miraculous recovery and near death experience. I believe his mission was to call Priests back to preaching the Gospels more faithfully. He had been preaching Church of nice not to rock any boats( collection money boats) before his NDE and it would have cost him his immortal soul if Blessed Mother had not intervened. He speaks about it in the interview.

He died 16th April 2020. And here is an interview he did with Mother Angelica.

 

Joan, I had strongly opposed Trump in the republican primaries. I supported Cruz.. I was very vocal about it because of his past pre presidential political position on abortion. I didn’t trust that he would honor his revised position on abortion. He had very liberal views on abortion and Cruz had a extremely prolife Position. However, when it came down to Trump over Hillary, there was no doubt who I was going to vote for....it was Trump.

To say that I am overwhelmingly happy to admit that I was wrong about Trumps sincerity about his conversion on the abortion issue is a understatement. I do not know his heart, but I strongly feel that trump has had a sincere change on this issue and in his proclamation that America is ONE NATION UNDER GOD. He makes no apologies for his extremely vocal pronouncement that WE ARE ONE NATION UNDER GOD. I’ve never witnessed another president in my lifetime promoting and protecting the Christian faith as Trump has.

It is not even a question about which candidate every single Christian in this nation should be supporting....not a question!
One may not like Trumps twitter, etc., however Americans had better realize that the left is trying to destroy our nation and the strongest political figure of our lifetime ....Trump....is the only candidate who capable of standing up to these evil forces who hate God and hate our nation. If we didn’t have a strong president like Trump, we’d be in big trouble. If Trump isn’t re-elected, you can kiss everything you hold dear goodbye. We will lose every freedom that this nation has stood for since its conception....including the freedom of religion. Even liberals are beginning to recognize that the left has gone too far and they are distancing themselves from the current political climate of the extreme leftist turn the Democrats have embraced.
If even liberals see this danger to our nation, it should be a no brainer for independents and conservatives.

Last night I was at my Chapel. I called upon the Virgin Mary. I was sad and I had an interior vision of Her. It was as if she was standing in front of me. She had a Rosary in Her hand and Her vale was blue with gold stars. This is what she said.

My child I am here to console you but I also have a Revelation to give to you. As you know Gods plan for the world is beginning to unfold. The shroud of darkness has fallen. The storm is going to get darker. Like the Lord said to you It shall be trial after trial. This is a punishment because the world has not turned to God. Know that the warning is getting close.

My child the time of the Christian persecution which the Lord has foretold to you is coming. You must pray for the Bishops that the Holy Spirit will fill them with Holy boldness to stand up for the truth. To stand up to the leaders who wish to smother My church. Much chaos is coming.

As the Lord told you the world is at the beginning stages of the Tribulation. Much more is to come. The time of hopelessness which the Lord has told you is coming and know that soon the Warning will come as well.

"...Instead, what arose was a hideous mischaracterization of what Paul VI intended for the reform of ecclesiastical censorship. After Paul VI abrogated canons 1399 and 2318 of the 1917 Code of Canon Law, a claim quickly arose that Catholics could now disseminate alleged private revelations without having them first reviewed by the competent Ecclesiastical Authority (i.e. be “censored” by the Church). Sometimes there was a caveat put to this claim that went, “so long as the writing(s) do not contain anything contrary to faith and morals.”

Just how an alleged private revelation came to be judged as contrary or not to faith and morals without having them submitted to the proper Authority was never mentioned.

Private Revelation & Truth
Misunderstanding and pride arose in the hearts of men. A popular message that was reaching people’s ears in the 1950s was that it was now “the hour of the laity” ... A call went out that it was time for the laity to rise up and take their “rightful” place(s) in the Church. After all, they are baptized members of the Body of Christ and “have the Holy Spirit”... Why can they not decide for themselves what is and what is not faithful to the Deposit of Faith with alleged private revelations?

Concerning our topic at hand, it was not an authentic “hour of the laity” (one that worked with the Pastors of the Church as God established) that had struck. It was a veritable revolution, one that Paul VI is said to have remarked upon as the Church being in an “auto-demolition” and it has gravely devastated good order in the Church. This devastation continues today every time people write about alleged private revelations and their dissemination through such popular slogans as “We report, you discern.” Such slogans are inherently flawed as they are disruptive to the Natural Law, which forbids allowing disorder into our hearts and lives.

Moreover, such slogans aggregate/presume authority to the writer that he or she simply does not have. It is the Church, the Magisterium, which discerns alleged private revelations. She will either, after due examination, propose/permit them for the belief of the faithful, or will disallow them for the sake of faith, good morals and good order in the Church. To think otherwise is nothing other than an arrogant misappropriation of a function proper to the Magisterium. Simply put, it is the sin of pride, even if rooted in ignorance of the Church’s doctrine, precepts and legislative processes.

In conclusion, private revelation is not a subject with which one can trifle. It has a bearing upon one’s eternal salvation and we must be wary not to fall into particular pitfalls of discerning it. Such discernment belongs properly to the Church and the lay faithful do have a role in this process, but we must look to the guidelines that Holy Mother Church has established for guidance. That role is largely one of submission and requires study and humility. Finally, an awareness on the part of Catholic writers and publishing houses of their moral responsibilities must also be instilled for the sake of good order in the Church.

Some one here mentioned (sorry I cant find the exact post) about Sr Faustina burning her diary after a vision of an angel told her to do so! I couldn't believe that to be true and never heard that ever before.So I went on the net and searched for anything I could find on that subject. BECAUSE...if that is true...then we mere peons definitely need to be VERY wary of any new seers and their messages! If Faustina was fooled than we certainly could be also!! Sr Josefa Menendez in her diary The Way of Divine Love records how satan appeared to her as Jesus. She had been having visions of Jesus for awhile and He had stressed with her the necessity of submitting everything to her Mother Superior and obeying her Mother Superior even if it contradicted what Jesus had said! He told her that obedience to lawful church authority was her one fail-safe protection against the evil one. When Satsn appeared he was exactly like Jesus. So much so that Sr Josefa never suspected other wise but she had been told to have the apparition repeat The Divine Praises with her. So as usual she asked and satan disappeared in a cloud if sulfur. So....there you go.

 

Advocata, there were many in the time of Jesus who felt they were willing to open ears and mind too, but they did not want to hear things Jesus had to say that was not popular. It is a double edge sword. "Hard sayings" have always been the cause for most to dismiss what Jesus said and what his prophets throughout history have said. It is not unfair to say this, as it is true. Much of what Jesus had said came true and much more of what he has said, and his prophets of today are revealing will come true as well. Let's just say, some will believe based on what they have been given and others will dismiss it. Time will prove us all out and by all indication we won't be arguing must longer, as we can see it all unfolding as we speak just as they have foretold.
