I taught my kids history. It was fun. In their senior year, though, I used a mainstream World History textbook (one that idolized Islam's glory years from 750 to 1250AD) and had them shoot holes in it.

Very skewed! Back when I watched the news, twice I remember a female black history professor from Harvard. Once she was condemning the Boston tea Party, because these white men dressed up as African Americans to do it. Really? Golly gee, here I was taught in grade school that the patriots dressed up as Native Americans to dump the tea. Another time , I'm not sure if it was the same professor, but she said Cleopatra was a black African woman. Well I guess all that history about Alexander and Ptolemy taking over Egypt after Alexander's death and that Cleopatra was a descendant from Ptolemy Solter I and Cleo was Greek was just hogwash. I mean Harvard, really, that's the best they can do? They haven't taught history in a long time.

 

Harvard values virtue signaling over scholarship it would appear.

 

Why do I get the feeling he was strong armed into it? So many Christians who change their platform when they get into office. Something going on behind the scenes. We could see it happening during the interviews of the last Supreme Court Justice . . .Brett Kavanagh.

 

I had someone unfriend my on FB over separation of church and state. They have their ideas and don't really want to know history. I consider it their loss . . .

 

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh’s show last Monday afternoon. Rush said Robert’s vote, the
pro-abortion decision by SCOTUS will help re-elect President Trump.

How do you stop the haters? We must pray now for the President’s safety. And, offer a prayer for
John Roberts.

Yes, every election for me has been a weigh of ratios. More of what I value on one side vs the other.

This coming feels much more as a mere putting off full on communism longer with one vs showing an open door w the other.

Still strategy, just very different.

 

There was a talk on ewtn the other day about voting. Voting for the lesser of two evils is acceptable.

They are requesting a 45 day Rosary Crusade for the Defeat of Communism in the USA
Does anybody here know anything about this group? The Crusade starts today and I'm thinking of doing it . Anybody else?

I think praying the seven sorrows Rosary for the defeat of communism is a good thing to do in any case. I started today. (A Rosary Crusade saved Austria after WWII)

 

Thanks AED!! I appreciate your input. Im going to do this Rosary Crusade also... I cant find anything about the Daughters of the Lamb on the internet. Nor can I find a person or persons to give me some background on this group. Altho all the info given on that site seems deeply Catholic, I'm just very cautious these days!

 

I will pray this novena too. I think it should be it's own forum topic so we can encourage, discuss etc during the next 45 days.
