Catholic Bishop: Gov. Cuomo is “Not in Communion With the Catholic Church,” He’s “Ex-Communioned”
NATIONAL MICAIAH BILGER APR 20, 2020 | 5:33PM WASHINGTON, DC

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s name has been in the news a lot lately because of his efforts to save lives in one of the areas hardest hit by the coronavirus crisis.

But a little more than a year ago, the Catholic politician got a lot of press for a very different reason. He signed radical pro-abortion law allowing unborn babies to be aborted for almost any reason up to birth in New York. Then, he celebrated.

CNS News reports Catholic Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas said Cuomo is not in communion with the church because of his abortion activism, and more Catholic leaders should make that clear.

“Andrew Cuomo makes it clear that he doesn’t believe Catholic teaching and therefore he’s ex-communioned. He’s out of communion,” Strickland said, referring to the governor’s record on abortion.

“I think to make it clear, and thankfully some of the bishops in other places have taken steps to basically say that, that a politician or anyone who says, ‘I don’t agree with the Catholic Church on basic critical issues,’ they’re choosing to be out of communion,” the bishop continued.

Refreshing to see a BRAVE Catholic Bishop who will tell it like it is. Cuomo also just said re the virus, “The number is down, because we brought the number down. God did not do that. Fate did not do that. Destiny did not do that. A lot of pain and suffering did that".

Cuomo is a very lost soul. God help him. Those poor innocent babies blood is on his hands. He will have to answer for each and every life he signed the death warrants for....and he actually celebrated the signing of his death sentence for them. He is the very definition of evil.

I am hoping for some Catholic grandmothers and ancestors in heaven or purgatory who are praying for him.

I'm not a grandmother and still very much alive on earth:D, but in the middle of Lent, I was strangely drawn to pray very hard for 3 days for Governor Cuomo, his brother Chris and the CNN anchor, Anderson Cooper. I know very well the lines and codes all 3 men live by and I wasn't exactly praying for their salvation.

What I was led to do was to consecrate all 3 to Our Lady of Fatima. So, I did that for 3 days and then, the urge 'dried up'.

    You got your wish, AED:D

If you're the guy who has everything what do you need with God? It's when the day turns to night and summer turns to winter that you find you need him.

(Not much chance of Cardinal Dolan saying a harsh word)

We need to be humbled before we can be lifted up.

Cuomo is an epic example of "the blind leading the blind."

Cuomo seems quite sane. His attitude to the riots seems a lot more sensible than that of De Blasio. However, when push comes to shove (Final Judgement), the latter might be able to get off with an insanity plea. Cuomo, on the other hand, seems much too calculating and self-aware for his own good.

I think we might be referring to the fact that Cuomo is an epic promoter of abortion and now he is leading....
At least that is how I took it.
He gave us an epic load of baloney about how he used to be an altar boy. I’m sure he was.

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

If Cuomo was an Altar boy, we have no choice but to ask ourselves....are some souls teflon coated against the Grace of God. Something went wrong.

When Andrew's father ran for, and won the governorship back in the 1980s, it was upsetting. With his son now in the same office, it is so much worse. After all, Andrew has already stated that conservatives don't belong in New York State. The Governor should realize that if New York City and its suburbs floated off into the Atlantic, the geographically reduced State would have a Republican majority.

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

It was incredibly disappointing when the Governor signed that bill into law. In fact I was in disbelief that anyone would do such a callous thing and shocked that those who would actually made it into places of such influence. I was mortified again when the decision was made to place the sick in nursing homes exposing the old and infirm to an illness that kills primarily the old and infirm. It really doesn't get much worse than willfully condemning both the young and old to such fates.

I pray that he believes, repents and seeks to do good with what time he has left. He is no spring chicken. I can not imagine facing God in such a state or how someone can claim themselves a Christian who could have put a stop to these things but instead sealed them by their office and shrugged off personal responsibility by saying that it was the will of the voters.

Whatever happened to men actually leading and being willing to take it on the chin in matters of grave moral responsibility.
