Share Your Dreams and/or Visions

When I woke up this morning they were reading a passage or the Hindhu Holy Book the Bagavad Gita on dreams and their reality. I found it such an interesting passage as it stressed how dreams effect us and how we effect our dreams.

I though to myself that I must read some of this book but then I heard Jesus say to me,

'But how do you know if any of these writings are true or not? How can you be certain?'

Then He paused and said,

'I am the Way , the Truth and the Life'. Thus you can be certain in me and in Scripture. Thus you have certainty'

Then I thought to myself, how true and thought of the words of the Hymn, 'All other ground is shifting sand'

 

Sounds like Jesus helped you with your discernment Padraig. Isn’t that (discernment) a gift of the Holy Spirit?

 

You know I wonder about the Gift of Discernment sometimes.
Fr Ripperger talks about this from the perspective of an Exorcist. Now when he talks this Gift he is talking about it in kind of Clinical sense. On other words he is talking about it in a very specific way to drive out Evil Spirits. So someone on say an Exorcism team who has Discernment of Spirits can indicate say, the name (s) of the demons who are involved and how they got there and so on. In the case of a haunting how the demons got there. In exorcism too how the demons became involved (ouiji board, witchcraft, New Age) and so on.

This strikes me as almost a scientific way of looking at things in that it is checkable and replicable. For instance if the Team Member with the Gift tells you in such a part of the House such and such a thing happened (say a murder) it is very possible historically to confirm this.

Whereas where I from the point of view of prayer and the Spiritual Life would have taken a more laid back generalised view of Discernment of Spirits (and all the Spiritual Gifts). So we know as Jesus says He has sent (to us all) the Spirit as Counsellor.

John 14:16

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.…

So that this coming of the Holy Spirit is our collective inheritance as Christ's followers, as God's Children, as Temples of the Holy Spirit. So looked at this way we all off us have Discernment of Spirits and the other Gifts to some extent or other. True sometimes In Situ, or not realised, but there nevertheless.

A for instance I am just back for my Holy Hour and the Lord gives me some advice doing it. For instance the Lord asks we give Him the best time of the day, for some people this is the morning for others the evening and so on . The Lord also reminded me to not be clock watching, that this is not a loving thing to do.

But sometimes this Discernment is not generalised sometimes it can be quite specific. I remember in a House in London for instance seeing that a very violent murder had taken place there, because I could see a large pool of blood on the ground in a room of the house. No one else would have been able to see this but I could and that Evil Spirits were still there.

Another time I was attacked by Evil Spirits in a Religious House in a specific bedroom were I slept. I only found out afterwards that a Novice had committed suicide in that room some months previously.
So its nice as Fr Ripperger says to get Confirmation. But I like to think we all have this Gift to some degree or other.

For instance if a person of prayer were to meet someone who was totally evil, I would like to think they'd have some idea from Spiritual Discernment. In the same way if we met a real saint, we'd have some idea of that too.

 

This I believe is where Fr Ripperger talks of Discernment of Spirits. But recall he is talking as an Exorcist and means something quite specific.

 

Sometimes I think of people like Serial Killers. There is no doubt they are possessed by Evil Spirits . But I wonder if many, many, many of their victims might have been spared if they had been people of prayer. They might have had some warning in an encounter with these wretched people. A warning even at a distance. So that, say walking down a dark street they might have had some warning sense.

The same with our angel guardians. When we pray we make it possible to hear their warnings, but when we do not pray we do not hear them warning us.

The same, for instance, when we meet, say, a shyster who is out to defraud us. If we pray I think we should be able to spot a shyster much more readily. We should have better spiritual eyesight.

 

I think our Grand Parents had a much better sense of this, that the Spiritual Gifts had practical uses. That it's not all pie in the sky stuff.

We haven't got that Simple Faith anymore. We've lost this.

 

I dreamed this morning that Pres. Trump fathered a baby by another woman.

Of course an immediate media storm ensued.

Melania understandably upset.

Demands to know who the mother of this baby was.

A 104-year-old woman.

Everyone's like How can that be?? and How could he have possibly been attracted??

Not that 104-year-old men are attractive either.

Anyway, Pres. Trump explained it as, "Sometimes these things just happen."

Melania threatening to leave him, etc.

Positive note: The baby was very cute.

 

Isn't the woman of "Spirit Cooking" incredibly old yet looks really young? (Maybe not 100 but, incredibly old)

 

104 year old men might fade. But 64 year old ones can be real catches. I know, I'm one..at least my dogs like me... when I'm frying sausages anyway.

 

I’ve had a couple of experiences where I know I’ve been protected. This is true.

I believe faithful, sincere, heartfelt, loving child-like prayer to God unlocks the heavenly door to all sorts of graces. I remember Johnette Bencovic from EWTN said something like this....imagine a little door in Heaven with a lock, prayer is the key that unlocks the door, which all Graces flow.

Well..when Our Lady calls down from heaven it is always the very littlest she calls to see. I will have to watch more of Johnette, I keep forgetting

This is true. When we pray we shine the windows of our souls so God's light can pour in(so to speak) and we receive those insights and warnings and protections I feel certain. Sin darkens the window.
There is an actual case of a serial killer unable to murder s girl who had fallen asleep praying her Rosary (something she did every night) Her roommate was murdered but when he went toward her room (he said later to police) he could not go in. He wasnt able to. That was Ted Bundy.

I met a person once who I now know was totally evil and/or possessed. It was a shaman I was visiting before my conversion back to the Faith. Looking back on it now I now realise that he was trying to destroy me and to get me to commit suicide. Every time I had a session with him afterwards I would fall in to the deepest suicidal depression when I got home. I was very lucky I didn't act out on it. For years after the sessions stopped (which came to an end through divine intervention I believe) I would have nightmares of him attacking me. Extremely dangerous and self-regarding individual who has hurt many, many people I believe. Anyone on the forum with relatives or loved ones involved in shamanism would do well to warn them and pray for them. It destroys you without you even being aware of it, such is the level of deception involved. I was very lucky and blessed to escape from it.
