And incidentally here’s a picture of Fatima today. Virtually empty for its annual celebrations. A huge sign imo
This post makes me think less of Mark Mallett. I had already been disturbed by his posting Fr. Rodrigue on the Countdown website without checking first with Fr. Rodrigue's bishop. But, also, I believe, if a person has a series of messages from God to share, that is HIS MISSION and his alone. He must live it, must proclaim it, all the while, faithful to God and to His Church/shepherds. This is a BIG ENOUGH task for anyone, to share your own bit of God's teaching. I don't know of any genuine messengers, like St.Faustina, or Sister Lucy, or others, who MIXED their own messages/locutions/visions from God with those of OTHER MESSENGERS, espec. messengers not approved by the Church. Mark Mallett treats Mary's messages from Fatima, almost at the same level as "Jennifer" and even, Vassula Ryden. He is all over the place, with messages and interpretations. Mark Mallett now seems to me more like Michael Brown of "Spirit Daily." All these people, predicting doom! That is sensation. I fear Mallett is not showing enough "discernment" or "prudence," but is carried away with "excitement." It worries me he is not getting good guidance.
But please keep in mind that most of us believe that we are in very grave times and that something dire could happen again soon. So despite our reservations in these "new" alleged seers, stay prepared both spiritually and temporally. + And don't do anything extreme like giving all of your money away. I am not sure whether or not Father Michel actually said that but it would not be a good idea at all to do so. +
This strikes a chord with me because in 2009 I had a vivid troubling dream of destruction. I was standing in front of a huge plate glass window watching it. The air and under the sea. It repeated 3 times. It seemed to me I knew or heard "everything will be shaken loose." It was definitely a spiritual dream.
It's not at all confusing to those who have ears to hear. All of God's messengers weave a clear picture for those who have hearts and minds open to see and hear. Mark, once again, is one of the few who has the keen insight/discernment from above to do so. I am not surprised at how so many can not understand and will criticize what they can not, or rather refuse to understand. They remind me of those standing outside the ark as the rain started coming. After all, our Lord used Noah and Sodom in scripture to say how people would be at the this time. I often wonder when their oh shi... moment came and they believed! Was the water at their ankles, their hips, their shoulders and for some probably right under their nose before they thought...... oh oh oh, its to late to listen now! Now, I am not saying anyone here needs to follow God's prophets and His heralds, but I believe the Mark Mallett's of the world have, through the light/gift of the Holy Spirit, helped put the pieces of God's puzzle, of the end times, together for those who have ears to hear. I am grateful to faithful people, few they are, who have been given the gift to discern and speak to what they have been given and I thank God for them. God Bless Mark Mallett and all others who fulfilling God's will for their life in speaking through all the noise of the naysayers who refuse to hear. The water is rising and the ark is filling up, soon the doors will be closed to God's mercy.
Yes, God bless and protect the good man and his family. I think all on this forum recognize the times we live in - that the doors of Mercy are closing soon. It´s just that some discard some more recent or not approved prophecy. I don´t think that´s a problem: if you´re not comfortable with some recent prophecy ignore it! We have plenty of approved messages (Fatima, La Salette, Akita, St. Faustina, to name a few) to guide us through these troubled times, not to mention the words of Our Lord, the prophets, the saints, popes etc. I do not discard recent revelations at all - to my mind, Garabandal, Zaro, Elizabeth Kindelmann, Medjugorje, for example, are credible. The ones I´m not comfortable with I avoid. Keep your eye on the ball, folks!
When I read of people condemning any messenger, it always brings to my mind how the Blessed Mother listened to the Angel Gabriel and believed what he had to say to her. She did not run off to the local Temple asking someone to approve what she had heard and seen. The way some people react to the messages and the messengers these days would mean, Jesus would not have been allowed to come into the world without Temple/Church approval, which sounds ridiculous to me. We are free to hear and decide ourselves if messages are sound and not in opposition to the Bible. People like Mark Mallett and Father Rodrigue are willing to come out in the open with what they have to share with us. That takes guts, and I respect them for their courage and commitment. They are only human and may make mistakes from time to time, don't we all, and when we are mistaken we hope to be treated with a bit of kindness. It would not surprise me if God is testing all of us. And the biggest Justice would be if God takes away all messages. It was only in around the 1970's that all these messages started to be made public. I remember the Longford Leader newspaper had a whole centre pull out of messages, it was truly amazing because this had never happened before. All we ever got was the sermon on a Sunday or a parish mission. Otherwise it was necessary to buy books of the saints if you wanted to hear about Heavenly things. Now we have that many, we are able to choose which ones to take on board, and leave others we don't feel comfortable with. There are some well supported on this Forum that I don't feel comfortable with; but it is not for me to condemn other forum members who get a great deal of encouragement from messages that don't feel understandable or comfortable to me. You know the old saying. "Whatever floats yer boat," and most especially on the digital sea. Peace.
Like some others on this forum, I too am ''cautious" when it comes to evaluating the authenticity of all the new and upcoming seers. BUT... just two days ago I had an "interesting" experience involving an alleged message from one of these new seers. Well... I have been saying the entire 15 decades of the rosary every day for 20 or more years (haven't missed a day in years). I also would often say the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 o clock when ever my busy day would allow me to. But now.. I have been doubling up on my prayers these days of confinement, since its a perfect opportunity to do so with nothing else to do and no place to go. After all Mary has asked us to pray, pray, pray, particularly the rosary in these precarious days that we are living in. Now... not only do I say my hour long rosary everyday but I always say the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 0clock pm and many times at 3am (chronic insomnia) as well as of late, the 54 Day Novena and St Josephs Holy Cloak Novena. All these prayers I say for the triumph of our Lady's Immaculate Heart, reparation for my sins, the sins of my family, reparation of sins of the souls in purgatory and particularly for reparation of the sins of the world. Lately... these prayers are getting harder and harder to get through … particularly the rosary is becoming tedious, monotonous and feels like Im lugging a very heavy load!! Distractions are bombarding me from left and right. I know Ill never give up but I sure feel like it!! Two days ago as I was dreading the start my rosary because I knew it would be difficult.. I glanced at my computer screen and saw a posting on my Facebook page which said "DO NOT RETREAT". It was a posting of a message from Pedro Regis. I opened it and it said: Dear children, the road to holiness is full of obstacles, but those who remain faithful until the end will be proclaimed Blessed of the Father. With your examples and words, show everyone that you are the Lord’s Possession. Do not be discouraged by your difficulties. Those who desire Heaven should not retreat in the face of trials. My Jesus is with you. Pray. Pray. Pray. Only through the power of prayer can you understand the designs of God for your lives. Be meek and humble of heart, for only thus you can contribute to the Definitive Triumph of My Immaculate Heart. You are heading for a painful future. Disorder will be present everywhere and the righteous will drink the bitter cup of persecution. Whatever happens, remain faithful to the Gospel of My Jesus and the teachings of the true Magisterium of His Church. Your commitment is, first and foremost, to the Lord. Be attentive. This is the message that I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace. Well..the line " Do not be discouraged by your difficulties. Those who desire Heaven should not retreat the face of trials. My Jesus is with you. Pray.Pray. Pray." hit me in the face like a splash of ice water!!!! I was sure that was meant for ME!!! NO..I KNOW it was! Since then I approached my rosary with JOY!!
Why is it such a TABOO to question / test the words of ANYONE proclaiming themselves either to be a prophet on a mission from God, or as the one who feels it’s his or her mission to filter and publish every and any recent messages from those believing they are in direct connection with the Divine? Must we not be prayerfully discerning? Does slick internet format guarantee the genuineness of a so-called prophetic projection? (Think of Jonah all on his own, but in the power of the Almighty, entering Ninevah. Just imagine that sight—no wonder he wanted to flee!) True prophesy should move people to deeper prayer and a spirit of reparation. I grow EXTREMELY cautious when I see proposed timelines of future events put forth on a website as some service to the faithful motivated by some “prophetic consensus”.
agree, having a timeline has become more of a thrilling sensationalism, and prophetic revelations have become more of entertainment to the audience
Of-course we as Christians should "test the words" of alleged prophets. Scripture has told us to do as much. Scripture has also told us "do not despise prophecy" and it did not define His church needed us to wait for "church approval" to do as much: Do not despise the words of prophets, but test everything; hold fast to what is good... (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21). As informed baptized Catholics we have the grace of doing as much if opened to it. It does not make us infallible, nor does it make one wrong who does as much. However, if one rejects we have the grace to do as much, then one needs to reconcile their position against scripture itself telling us to do as much, which they surely would fail to do. The question I have is this. What is the criteria for ones "testing" in your mind? Is it style? Is it that one does not want to believe if it goes outside their personal criteria, whatever that may be and based on that one can be critical to God's alleged prophets of our time? Do you believe we have to wait for the events to happen, such as Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, Akita etc.... did before we can believe credible prophets of our time? The issue is not that we are not to "test the words" as you say, the question is test against what? Please do tell, because I would love to hear your rational for dismissing alleged prophets. For instance, all those on the web site www.countdowntothekingdom have been vetted by two theologians who are founders of the site and have discerned every message against scripture and church teaching and found nothing contrary to either. Not only are they not contrary to scripture and church teaching, they are also complimentary to other alleged prophets in the past 100 years with similar messages speaking to what is happening now, in the very near future and into the era of peace that our Lady of Fatima and Revelations 20 speaks to. Was Noah's prophecy of the flood proved by his preparing and building of the ark that wiped out all living beings. No. His prophecy was validated after the naysayers of his time were outside the ark drowning, but mercy was to late for them, right? Prophecy is what is coming and God has and continues to this day with fulfilling scripture" For God does nothing without revealing his plans to his prophets his messengers" Amos 3:7. Same God yesterday, today and always. The question I have for those who consistently reject any prophecy from credible/trustworthy messengers of our time that has not yet been approved by the Church is, what is your "test the words of ANYONE" mean to you? What is your criteria for judging alleged prophecy of our times and then being critical to what you chose not to believe? I think many would like to know the answer to this with some specificity, such as I have just provided for those of us that have discerned credible and trustworthy messengers of our time, such as is on given www.countdowntothekingdom.com
They don’t believe unless it is approved by the Church. So, those of us who are still waiting to judge should just ignore those who keep complaining.
Being tired at this point in the evening, I neglected to mention something important. In my example of Garabandal, I wanted to add that even though it’s prophesies tell of mega spiritual and earthly events, they give me peace and hope—NO anxieties. This in stark contrast to several of the more recent messages being frantically promoted by some of the more recent alleged seers. I’ve heard of good Catholic people confused and terribly worried over them. This is not a good sign.
