I believe in this seers authenticity. For your discernment his recent message from Our Lady....

Edson Glauber – Many Are Being Sifted
Our Lady Queen of the Rosary and of Peace to Edson Glauber , May 6, 2020 in Manaus, Brazil:

    Peace to your heart!

My son, I come to you to talk about the great love of God that is insulted, rejected and forgotten. Many of my children have banished God from their lives: they no longer worship Him and do not recognize Him as the Lord of their lives. The spiritual blindness is so great that many are insensitive and their hearts are closed to the Lord, being deaf to his call.

The Holy Church is going through its most painful and terrible time, being attacked, fought and silenced. But the greatest danger does not come from outside, it comes from those who are inside her, placed in her midst to reduce her to nothing, leaving many believers without Divine food, without light and without hope, so that their faith would decline. Woe to those who allow Holy Mother Church to be darkened and subjected to wicked laws that are against divine ordinances and against the Lord’s teachings.

Woe to those who are not zealous for the honor and glory of God and think more of themselves, wanting to save their own lives. They are concerned with saving the body, but their souls are blacker than coal. They speak of obedience, but of worldly obedience that comes from men, rather than divine obedience that comes from God.

Many are being sifted. God in his infinite wisdom winnows out the wicked and drives the [threshing] wheel over them (Proverbs 20:26). God is showing many the reality of their own souls before Him: those who have faith and believe, and those who do not have it and are unbelievers, because they have lived by appearances alone. Whoever does not have faith and does not live by it is without a sure direction in their life, because it is faith that guides the soul to the safe port of salvation, that leads to heaven.

How many empty souls [there are], without light, without a secure foundation, foolish, who have built their house on sand, full of the vain illusions of the world and ideological and philosophical thinking contrary to the teachings of my Divine Son, instead of having built it on the solid and sure rock of faith. “He who does not believe will be condemned”, are the words that my Divine Son said to all those who refused to accept His extraordinary and His holy teachings that divinize men. Whoever refuses to believe, refuses God himself and his love, and cannot merit his blessing or participate in the benefits of his graces and glory. The one who believes participates in the mystery of love and unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit who communicates to souls his gifts and his fruits that beautify, sanctify and perfect them more and more.

Be faithful and obedient to the Lord, and many will be witnesses of his marvels and wonders on behalf of his people, for the Lord is the God of the living and not of the dead, because for Him all are alive.* May my peace and my love remain with you.

    I bless you!

This is fearful, especially for our pastors who apparently place civil regulations above Divine ordinances. It causes me to pray more for our Pope, our bishops, and our priests. I hear from many administrative persons in businesses and health facilities how different things will be, even when the contagion is contained. I fear that many bishops may follow the same pattern. How frequent will be our access to the sacraments? I do not know. Be concerned but do not despair! Jesus Christ is still on the Throne! Mercy, Lord, mercy!

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

    I echo every word.

The situation is very, very, very dire indeed. My one hope are the words of Mary. Words which I constantly cling to.

This one line troubles me about the authenticity of this message. Holy teachings that divinize men? We are being sanctified, not divinized. IMHO, New Age religion seeks to divinize men.

It´s an interesting (and controversial) topic but there are many references to the divinization of man in the writings of the Church Fathers:

Athanasius, bishop of Alexandria (c. 296–373), stated his belief in literal deification: "The Word was made flesh in order that we might be made gods. ... Just as the Lord, putting on the body, became a man, so also we men are both deified through his flesh, and henceforth inherit everlasting life."[9] Athanasius also observed: "For the Son of God became man so that we might become God."[10][11]

Augustine of Hippo (354–430) said: "But he himself that justifies also deifies, for by justifying he makes sons of God. 'For he has given them power to become the sons of God' [referring to John 1:12]. If then we have been made sons of god, we have also been made gods."[12] "To make human beings gods," Augustine said, "He was made man who was God" (sermon 192.1.1). Augustine goes on to write that "[they] are not born of His Substance, that they should be the same as He, but that by favour they should come to Him... (Ibid)".

Clement of Alexandria (c. 150–215), wrote: "Yea, I say, the Word of God became a man so that you might learn from a man how to become a god."[5] Clement further stated that "f one knows himself, he will know God, and knowing God will become like God. . . . His is beauty, true beauty, for it is God, and that man becomes a god, since God wills it. So Heraclitus was right when he said, 'Men are gods, and gods are men.'"[6] Clement of Alexandria also stated that "he who obeys the Lord and follows the prophecy given through him ... becomes a god while still moving about in the flesh."[7]

Justin Martyr c. 100–165) insisted that in the beginning men "were made like God, free from suffering and death," and that they are thus "deemed worthy of becoming gods and of having power to become sons of the highest."[8]

My mind is not accustomed to seeing that phraseology. Thank you for posting, Blizzard. Those are some very early Church fathers. Very early.

I understand your hesitation HH, but actually there is a proper understanding of divination that certain Church Fathers taught (i.e. Iranaeus) that are rooted in Scripture. During my training as a deacon, we took a course on Catholic spirituality that covered this topic. I think the message Edson received can be considered in this light, but yes, let us be careful:

2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature.

2 Cor 3: 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

    St Iranaeus stated:

In the second century, Irenaeus, bishop of Lyons (c. 130–202) said that God had "become what we are, that He might bring us to be even what He is Himself."He added:

Do we cast blame on him [God] because we were not made gods from the beginning, but were at first created merely as men, and then later as gods? Although God has adopted this course out of his pure benevolence, that no one may charge him with discrimination or stinginess, he declares, "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are sons of the Most High." ... For it was necessary at first that nature be exhibited, then after that what was mortal would be conquered and swallowed up in immortality.

    St. Athanasius stated:

Athanasius, bishop of Alexandria (c. 296–373), stated his belief in literal deification: "The Word was made flesh in order that we might be made gods. ... Just as the Lord, putting on the body, became a man, so also we men are both deified through his flesh, and henceforth inherit everlasting life."

    Haha it´s not every day...

If the early Church Fathers affirm it it must be true... those were very, very holy men... their words carry a lot of weight.

But to be honest I don´t think it´s a subject that we´ll ever be able to clearly understand while on this side of the veil...

It's maybe that in the West we talk of Spiritual Marriage as being the end point of the Spiritual/ prayer life. In the East they talk of Divinisation. Both East and West are talking about the same thing just using a different language.

    https://www.britannica.com/topic/Hesychasm

    Psalm 8:5

    How Majestic is Your Name!
…4what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him? 5You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor. 6You made him ruler of the works of Your hands; You have placed everything under his feet:…

Another interesting thing is that in the West we tend to home in on the Passion and so our mystics tend to exhibit things like the Passion. We write a lot about the Dark Night of the Soul and Victim Souls and Purgatory and so on.

In the East they concentrate on the Glory of the Ressurection of Easter. So their mystics tend to give phemomena associated with light. They shine. Their mystics show a lot of the characteristics of the Risae Lord.

There is no right or wrong in this ; its just two complmatary paths up the same mountain.

As Pope St John Paul pointed out East and West are two lungs of the same body. That the Church needed both lungs to survive and prosper.

There is a good example of Divinisation showing forth in the life of St Seraphim of Sarov (also considered a saint in the Catholic Church) when he shone in Glory in an interview with a journalist to show the working of the Holy Spirit in the Soul.

Actually in Monte Cassino in Italy, in the Monastic Church, the home of Western Monasticism there is a painting of St Benedict covered in light which is very similiar to the famous icon of St Seraphim.

Here is a Eastern saint talking about another Eastern saint. You don't often get to see something like this.
