Why the Miracle of Garabandal is not till Apr. 2024 at earliest...

There are some speculating the Warning is going to happen this year, even though March and much of April has passed, and the Warning is due to happen a little while before the April Miracle. And others say the Warning will happen in 2022. But, there's a simple consideration showing the Miracle can happen at earliest in 2024.

    1) The Miracle will happen in April only.
    2) It will happen or or between 8th to 16th.
    3) It will happen on a specific day, Thursday.
    4) That Thursday will not be Holy Thursday.

[Most of us agree with those 4 points, I think. But, it's mentioned here anyway: "A miracle is to occur in Garabandal within 12 months after the Warning... It will be on a Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on a feast-day of a martyred Saint for the Eucharist ...( not a feast-day of Our Lady or Our Lord) ... it will happen in the month of April... between the 7th and the 17th of the month but not the 7th or the 17th" http://www.garabandal.org/miracle.shtml]

    Then, https://www.calendardate.com/maundy_thursday_2022.htm

"Maundy Thursday for the year 2022 is celebrated/ observed on Thursday, April 14th."

    5) The Miracle will happen in an even year.
    6) But, in 2022, April 14th is Holy Thursday.
    7) April 14 therefore cannot be the Miracle
    8) But April 7th, 2022 would be too early.
    9) And April 21st, 2022 is then too late.
    10) Therefore, the Miracle is not in 2022.

So God and Our Lady have given us some simple clues to the Mystery by which, putting it all together, we can exclude certain years imo. In 2024, Holy Thursday is in March, so the timeframe remains completely open and that year is possible.

Question: If the Miracle is to come only in April 2024, doesn't that mean the Warning, at very earliest (even if someone wants to say it is not necessarily in the same calendar year in the Miracle) can come by May 2023? Certain recent private revelations suggest there will be only about 6 weeks from the Warning to Miracle and the Warning will thus be in the last week of February or the first week of March. But even leaving that aside, are there still any reasons to expect the Warning will happen e.g. later this year 2020?

    Thoughts? God Bless.

    That leaves 11 April 2024

11th April The official Universal Church feast of St. Stanislaus of Krakow is 11th April. Stanislaus was murdered while saying Mass on 8th May 1079 in the Chapel of Saint Michael in a suburb of Krakow, Poland. In Poland his feast is 8th May. There is now a Basilica on the site which has the name Basilica of St. Michael and St. Stanislaus. (Note the connection with St. Michael).

Problem with St Stanislus - his feast date was changed 1969

In 1969, the Church moved the feast to April 11, considered to be the date of his death in 1079.

Remember Conchita looked at the calendar to the date and noted that it coincided with a saint/martyr of the Eucharist with a name hard to pronounce

Before 1969 St Stanislus date was 7th May.

Thanks for the Information, Garabandal. That's very interesting. Only, I think in such a case, St. Stanislaus also should be considered a solid possibility, along with St. Hermenegild. Because, God may very well have had St. Stanislaus' Feast Day moved from May 7th to April 11th precisely as a possible indication that it may be the Day of the Miracle.

I have an Excel Sheet where I track possible Miracle Dates based on the Clues Given. I'll share it later on if people want. But that's how I knew. When I put 2022, it didn't compute. Bible says average life span is 70 to 80 years and Conchita is 71, so I think there's a solid probability it will be this Decade. So it can be 2024, but not 2022. 2028 is also not possible, since Holy Thursday is on April 13th (6th too early; 20th too late). 2026 and 2030 are both quite possible; but only in 2030, like in 2024, April 11th is Thursday, which makes those two years, imo (2024 and 2030) the most likely years for the Warning and the Miracle.

But the Warning and Miracle are Humanity's Last Chance: I don't think God wants to bring the Dates Forward. In our prayers we should ideally pray "in that year which is according to Your Perfect Will", or even "In that year in which maximum souls are saved" rather than "may it be as soon as possible" imho. Because if the Warning and Miracle come even very soon, but then many souls are not saved, it will be bad. Much better if it comes slightly later, but with a greater spiritual harvest of souls. Anyway, God's Will be done.

    God Bless, All.

How old were these Saints when martyred? I thought she also mentioned it was a young man's feast day when it will happen.

Right, Mario. I think many of us feel the same way! But with the coronavirus situation, which some have said is like a foreshadowing of how quickly the world will change after the Warning, I think we can see everything can change so dramatically in a matter of months, and not always in a positive way. So I think we should not pray that the Warning should come soon. Rather, we should even pray that it does not come too soon imo, until humanity is properly prepared for it, and can spiritually profit from it. Praying the "year in which most number of souls are saved" seems to be solid; otherwise, simply, as Christ prayed, "Not our will but Yours be done".

It may be that God may want millions more to at least hear of the Warning first before it comes. Unfortunately, many non-Catholics, and even many Catholics have not heard of it. We know the "Rapture" theology is a false idea, but Protestants did a good job popularizing it. Even many non-Christians have heard of the Rapture. We Catholics should have a done a better job popularizing the real Truth of the Warning! At least, in the years remaining, we can try to shout it out from the rooftops. Since many watched the recent Movie on Garabandal, hopefully many more came to know about it. But do enough already know for the Warning to come? How soon will the Pope go to Moscow? All those and other things are pending questions.

The discussion on age is interesting. St. Stanislaus, whose feast is now kept on April 11th, probably wasn't young. He died at age 48 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislaus_of_Szczepanów

    On: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermenegild

Does anyone know how old was St. Hermenegild, whose feast is April 13th, when he was martyred? Wiki doesn't say and the CE says date of birth is unknown. Is age roughly known?

    "St. Hermengild: Date of birth unknown; d. 13 April, 585 ... https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07276a.htm

If April 13th, Thursday is indeed the Day of the Miracle, then the next possible Year (when a Thursday, that is not Holy Thursday, falls on April 13) is 2034. That would be just about 2000 years from the Lord's Crucifixion and Resurrection!

There is no reason why Conchita cannot live to be over 100 yrs old. If God wants to use her to reveal the information when the time comes, he can sustain her life until 106!

Thanks, Blizzard. St. Hermenegild seems to fit the description of a young Eucharistic Martyr perfectly. In the next 15 years, Holy Thursday sometimes falls on the second Thursday of April; and there is only one Thursday in those years within the limit of 8th to 16th - so those years have no possible Thursday for the April Miracle.

If the Miracle is within the next 15 years, then on 2 years the Thursday falls on April 11th, feast of St. Stanislaus, those are maybe likely. Only one certainly falls on April 13th, feast of St. Hermenegild: 2034.

But I say maybe don’t get too hung up on dates.

I think 2034 is too far.

The girls in Garabandal didn’t always understand completely what was being revealed to them although I completely believe in the apparitions and the main messages.

Thanks, everyone. So, is a Spanish Martyr ruled out, then, as Shae said? If that is so, then it can't be St. Hermenegild, as the Saint was Spanish, right? The below site also says so.

It may be the case that some of the assumptions are not correct. E.g. (1) the Holy Thursday can't be the feast day assumption (2) it has to be in an even year assumption etc.

E.g maybe Holy Thursday is still possible. I just saw this article which makes a case for 2028, and for the Feast being on Holy Thursday:

Against my better judgement and given the question raised by Concerned on why I don’t think the Warning or Miracle will take place during the remainder of 2018 or 2019, I present below my own conclusions for your consideration and comment. However please take all of this as nothing more than pure conjecture and my idle curiosity.
    • Due consideration of Conchita’s age at the time of the Miracle must be taken in to account given she was 13 in 1962. DOB February 7th 1949
    • While talking to a group of Americans on August 10 1971 Conchita offered this revealing information: “It (the Miracle) will take place on or between the eighth and sixteenth of March, April or May.
    • The film Garabandal – the Eyewitnesses () made in 1995 by Garabandal Productions, New Zealand, narrows the period further and is specific in stating the Miracle will occur at 8.30 in the evening on a Thursday between the eighth and sixteenth of April, no mention of March or May.
    • Commentators insist it will not be on a Holy Thursday, but is this correct?
    • When Conchita was given the date by Our Lady of Mount Carmel, she looked up the date on a calendar in the house. She noted it coincided “with the feast of a saint, a martyr of the Holy Eucharist,” whose name was difficult to pronounce. My view is the saint in question is St. Hermenegild, reasons are as follows:
      • His feast day is celebrated on the 13th April which sits within the dates provided by Conchita and those given in the film.
      • He was Spanish with a French Mother, both countries are intimately joined to the Immaculate and Sacred Hearts.
      • His martyrdom was the result of a stand against the heresy of Arianism (concerning the nature of Christ as subordinate to God the Father rather than an equal in the Trinitarian Godhead) and a refusal to receive his Easter Communion from an Arian Bishop. Both these points of his martyrdom are significant in relation to Garabandal, because Garabandal is Eucharistic in nature and because it is prophetic concerning Church teaching i.e. Cardinals apposing Cardinals etc. These events are being fulfilled now as evidenced by the emerging heterodoxy of the modern Church under PF1 which, almost seeks to imply that the ‘word’ of heretical faiths is as worthy of belief as that of the Incarnate Word of God, and not contradictory to the Word of God. In so doing these falsifiers don’t elevate their heterodox ideology to Heaven they conversely and in fact degrade the Word of God to a level subservient to human reasoning, a form of Arianism! In addition, PF1 is moving toward encouraging a Eucharist sacrilege in his yet to be fully realised collegiality with Luther and his heresies, even so far as leading toward a shared Eucharistic celebration. How many souls are going to fall in to this abyss and bring damnation on themselves as a result of these lies? What better Martyr for our times than St. Hermenegild to stand as a beacon against such blind ill-informed readiness to abandon the True Faith.
      • The feast day of Tarcisius is celebrated on 15 August; that day is widely observed as the Feast of the Assumption; therefore, he is not mentioned in the General Roman Calendar, but only in the Roman Martyrology. It is therefore highly unlikely that Conchita’s calendar would have marked his feast day and if it did, the date does not coincide with the range given by Conchita.
Putting these few factors along side events in the calendar up to 2050 reveals a possible date and year(s). Below is my research and I wonder; is it absolutely ruled out that the Miracle will not occur on a Holy Thursday? If not, then the 13th April 2028 will be the date. Remarkably this date coincides with the feast of St Hermenegild and the institution of the Holy Eucharist. Conchita will be 79, which is comforting since she can be expected to be in reasonably good health, adding further to the feasibility of the date when compared with other possible candidates.

The 10 years between now and then also provides sufficient time for crisis, during which Pope Benedict XVI will pass to eternal life, PF1 will be unrestrained, Apostasy will become general, the Light of the Church will almost be extinguished, in the dark, geopolitics and religious conflicts will erupt and the whole situation will become fatal leading to a Divine Warning – Aviso.

If Holy Thursday is ruled out then the date will still be the 13th April but the year could be, 2023, 2034 or 2045, the latter two less likely due to Conchita’s age.

Arriving at the date considers when the date ranges 8th to the 16th April occur on a Thursday. The following presents those occurrences alongside Conchita’s age, celebrated feasts of the Church and the placement of Easter’s Holy Thursday.

    Update 16th November 2018

I have corrected Conchita’s age based on her DOB provided by an anonymous contributor. Whilst I am on this page, I wanted to stress that if there is absolute confirmation linked only to credible verifiable statements from Conchita that the Great Miracle won’t take place on a Feast Day of the Lord, then Holy Thursday is to be ruled out as a candidate. I state this because some have debated whether Holy Thursday is in fact deemed a formal Feast of the Lord by the Church or, is it rather a feast of the Easter Triduum, specifically the Institution of the Holy Eucharist.

Not by my own authority, but by that of Bishop J Strickland, following our recent correspondence, I can confirm that “[Holy Thursday] is the Liturgical celebration of the Lords action instituting the Eucharistso it is therefore both, He is the Eucharist and the Eucharist is him.” On subsequently seeking further clarity that it is formally a Feast of the Lord, Bishop J Strickland immediately replied “Correct.” To reiterate a point made earlier, none of the dates below would apply in this case. If the linked Saint and Martyr is St. Hermenegild then the date will still be the 13th April but the year could be either, 2023, 2034 or 2045, the latter two being less likely due to Conchita’s age." I note that Garabandal news also seems to believe it could happen in an odd year as well, so maybe the even year assumption is not correct either.

Anyway, God knows. Conchita knows. As Carol and others said, it will be announced 8 days before the time.

Some time back someone posted a message (possibly here on MOG forum?) saying that he´d found a liturgical calendar from Spain and from the exact same time when the apparitions were taking place (early 1960´s). And there it was: St Hermenegild was featured on April 13th. He photographed the entry. I saved it and am posting it below. Unfortunately it´s low resolution and he didn´t photograph the entire page.

Is it credible? I don´t know. Here it is for your discernment.
