I would pay close attention to the Synod of 2022 on Synodality, I believe he will leave the decision on that to the hands of the Episcopal Conferences.
The current Vicar of Christ can hold a zillion Synods and can leave the decision to each Conference all he wants. "John Paul II declared in his 1994 apostolic letter Ordinatio Sacerdotalis that the Church has “no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church's faithful.” http://w2.vatican.va/content/john-p...p-ii_apl_19940522_ordinatio-sacerdotalis.html Sounds settled to me. But of course, what do I know? The weaponized ambiguity from this current pope leaves many people scratching their heads and wondering if they are still Catholic. Having another synod or group chat to again discuss whether women can be ordained is insane. I am tired of the continuous Marxist beat down.
I think it's fairer to say that many people are scratching their heads wondering if their pope is still Catholic, or indeed ever was. I think new circumstances now applying will ensure that PF will be able to organise few, if any, synods in his lifetime. We might be entering an era of suppression of Catholic activity by secular authorities. This terrible sacrifice for the faithful might be asked of us from On High in order to protect us from the enemy within. We all know recent events have succeeded in a very particular spatio-temporal way those of the Vatican/China betrayal, the Pachamamma affair and the abominable German synod of Bishops. Needless to say, the atheists in control of our Church would laugh at such a series of connections, so it is likely they will carry on and bring down more Wrath on our heads, but we can console ourselves that it is all for a reason.
I agree, and so far it seems the leadership has gone along with secular authorities absurdity lock step. I don't want to be an alarmist but it would not shock me in the least to hear them also pronouncing the vaccine is a great idea that everyone should pursue. In fact I will be surprised if they do not. At some point a line is going to be drawn with those of faith, modern medicine, and pharma's ideas of the future. When companies think nothing of using aborted fetal cell lines in their vaccines we know we have a serious departure from sanity that no believer can take part in knowingly. Don't expect your doctor to know either if you ask them about it. Very few of them actually take the time to research what their offices are shooting into our bodies.
We live in the strangest of times indeed -- Pope Francis says COVID-19 pandemic could be caused by climate change https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/08/europe/pope-francis-coronavirus-nature-response-intl/index.html
The science philosopher Karl Popper defined the weakest type of scientific theory as one that purported to explain everything in all circumstances. This pope of ours seems to have absolutely no sense of history. Europe, for example, suffered her worst periods of bubonic plague following the end of the medieval warming period, as I understand it. Therefore, in the unlikely event of 'climate change' (truly a tautological term) having any connection with COVID-19, the available evidence suggests that global warming would be beneficial.
Extra; Extra; .......Read all about it ...... MoG site states COVID-19 pandemic is definitely caused by the sins of mankind! They even state these sins include the abomination of abortion over the last 50 years and the legalising of sodomite Marriage over the last 10 years. Read more, Read more; They state God is calling us to repentance and penance and they insinuate that climate change has nothing to do with the current covid 19 crisis? Read it here on MSM : They even say the Covid 19 crisis is in reality a chastisement from God. Now there's a good headline.
Abp Viganò asks bishops, priests to pray Exorcism ‘against Satan’ on Holy Saturday 'In these modern times of terrible tribulation...the Evil One has gone into a frenzy and multiplied his attacks to tempt souls into sin' Thu Apr 9, 2020 - 7:39 am EST Archbishop Viganò prays the rosary at the 2017 Rome March for Life Claire Chretien / LifeSiteNews By Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò April 9, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – On October 13, 1884, Leo XIII had a terrible vision of the assault of the powers of Hell against Holy Mother Church, and ordered the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel to be said at the end of Mass. He also composed an Act of Exorcism and ordered it to be inserted into the Roman Ritual, and explicitly mentioned what he had seen: “The Church, the Spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, has been filled with bitterness and inebriated with poison by her crafty enemies, who have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the place where the See of Holy Peter and the Chair of Truth has been set up as the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.” In these modern times of terrible tribulation, when the pandemic has deprived Catholics of Holy Mass and the Sacraments, the Evil One has gone into a frenzy and multiplied his attacks to tempt souls into sin. These blessed days of Holy Week, which used to be the ideal time to go to Confession to prepare ourselves for our Easter Communion, now see us locked inside our houses, but they cannot stop us praying to Our Lord. Since it is a day of silence, while we await His glorious Resurrection, this Holy Saturday ought to be an ideal opportunity for Sacred Ministers. There is no need to go out, or to breach any of the laws currently in force. I should like to ask you all to pray together, using the form given by Leo XIII, the Exorcism against Satan and the Apostate Angels (Exorcismus in Satanam et angelos apostaticos, Rituale Romanum, Tit. XII, Caput III), at three o’clock in the afternoon, Roman time (15:00 hours, Central European Summer Time) (9:00 a.m. EDT/EST) on Saturday April 11, 2020, so we can all fight together the common enemy of the whole human race [Latin here, English here]. Holy Saturday is the day when we remember Our Lord Jesus Christ as He descended into Hell to free the souls of the Fathers from Satan’s chains. In the great silence after Our Lord’s Passion and Death, Our Lady kept watch and believed, waiting in hope for the Resurrection of Her dearly beloved Son. It was a time when the world seemed to have won, but when everything was being prepared for the glory of Easter. I should like to ask all my brother Bishops and Priests to join me as I recite this Exorcism, knowing the power of this Sacramental - especially when it is recited together with all other Priests - to help the Church in Her fight against Satan. I should also like to recommend that all of you wear a stole, the sign of your Priestly power, and Holy Water. The great Mother of God, Mary Most Holy, terrible as an army set in array, and Saint Michael the Archangel, Patron of the Holy Church and Prince of the Heavenly Host, will help all of us. + Carlo Maria Viganò, Titular Archbishop of Ulpiana
A little out of touch? Does the Vatican have its own "testers" before such supplies are issued to the unsuspecting? As Pandemic Crisis Grows, China Ships Shoddy Medical Supplies to Virus-Hit Countries https://www.theepochtimes.com/more-...-shoddy-chinese-medical-supplies_3306090.html +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Vatican Thanks China for ‘Solidarity’ in Donating Medical Supplies for Pandemic ROME — The Vatican has issued a public statement thanking China for its solidarity with the Holy See shown in donations of medical supplies to combat the spread of the coronavirus. “In recent days, donations of medical supplies have arrived from China to the Vatican Pharmacy,” reads a statement Thursday from Matteo Bruni, papal spokesman and director of the Holy See Press Office, “in particular through the organizations of the Red Cross Society of China and the Hebei Jinde Charities Foundation, as an expression of the solidarity of the Chinese people and Catholic communities with those involved in the relief of those affected by Covid-19 and the prevention of the current coronavirus epidemic.” “The Holy See appreciates this generous gesture and expresses its gratitude to the bishops, the Catholic faithful, the institutions and all other Chinese citizens for this humanitarian initiative, assuring them of the esteem and prayers of the Holy Father,” the communiqué concludes. In recent years, the Vatican has adopted a conciliatory approach in dealing with China’s communist regime (CCP) in the hope of reopening diplomatic relations. In September 2018, the Vatican signed a secret agreement with the CCP regarding the appointment of bishops in China and later told Catholic clergy that they are free to join the state-run Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association, which is independent of Rome. For his part, Pope Francis has insisted that the communist government protects religious freedom in China and that “churches are full.” Meanwhile, the chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, the Argentinian Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, has proclaimed that the CCP has created the best model for living out Catholic social teaching today. The pope has refused to criticize the intense crackdown on religious freedom by the government of Xi Jinping and has kept silent concerning the repression of student pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong. According to recent reports, the CCP has been using the Wuhan coronavirus epidemic as an excuse to intensify its clampdown on religion, bulldozing some Christian churches and placing others under heavy surveillance. “China is now holding itself up as a model for fighting the coronavirus. But fighting the pandemic hasn’t stopped communist officials from persecuting Christians,” said Todd Nettleton, a spokesman for the nonprofit group Voice of the Martyrs (VOM), in late March. Chinese authorities have reportedly vandalized other churches and ordered a ban on “unregistered” religious services on the grounds of public health. The CCP’s coronavirus control group in Nenjiang issued an order on February 20 forbidding individuals and organizations from providing venues for “illegal religious activities,” allegedly to curb the spread of the epidemic. The coronavirus pandemic has provided a convenient justification for the CCP to continue what it was already doing: persecuting house churches as “unstable elements” that undermine the regime. In stark contrast to the Vatican’s appeasement policy, the president of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences said last week that the Chinese Communist Party has “primary responsibility” for the global coronavirus pandemic and owes the world “compensation for the destruction it has caused.” There is “one government that has primary responsibility for what it has done and what it has failed to do, and that is the CCP regime in Beijing,” wrote Cardinal Charles Maung Bo, the archbishop of Yangon in Myanmar, which borders China. “Let me be clear — it is the CCP that has been responsible, not the people of China, and no one should respond to this crisis with racial hatred toward the Chinese,” Cardinal Bo declared in a powerfully worded essay. “But it is the repression, the lies and the corruption of the CCP that are responsible,” he says. More and more voices are being raised against “the negligent attitude shown by China, especially its despotic Chinese Communist Party (CCP) led by its strongman Xi Jinping,” the cardinal wrote, citing law professor James Kraska that “China is legally responsible for Covid-19 and claims could be made in the trillions of dollars.” https://www.breitbart.com/health/20...ty-in-donating-medical-supplies-for-pandemic/
Don't you keep reading the responses from the MSM, the Vatican, the Hollywood's, music stars, political left, CCP, etc and think to yourself.....are they on the same planet as I am? I think this often.
one of the reasons that I think possible of Francis trying to approve Deaconesses is that theologian Hans Kung said that in 2016 that Francis answered him a letter stimulating the debate on papal infallibility, I think that if he does not believe in this dogma he can submit everything to Church to review. the Pope had declared in the exhortation Amoris Laetitia that not all pastoral and doctrinal discussions should be resolved by the intervention of the magisterium, so I think it possible that he tries to decentralize the government of the Church, I also found it a sinister coincidence that the Synod on Synodality will take place in the same year of the closure of the synod in Germany, which is seeking an alleged doctrinal autonomy. https://www.ncronline.org/news/theo...d-request-free-discussion-infallibility-dogma
I had to go to the ER this past February for a wound on my hand. The doctor there wanted to give me a tetanus shot and I said okay, if it’s not derived from aborted fetal tissue. He laughed!!! I had to explain that there were two kinds, one was okay and one was not. I told him to look it up. I did not get the shot....he didn’t offer it again. I truly don’t think he knew about it.
The question is if he is no longer here, who will succeed him, some other progressive or someone who returns the Church to the path of the apostolic tradition?
The diabolical disorientation we are in. If you don't pray, you're in it. I pray everyday for God to end this time of diabolical disorientation we are in.
