Thought I'd have some fun here...I am sitting here looking at the list of Cardinals. I took the list and eliminated all those who were 77 and above. I read the message from Jesus and Mary from the locutions.org website. I have studied all the prophesies regarding the end times Popes. I also know St. Malachy's prophesies. I start to go through the Popes and look at them on google images. I got to Cardinal Dias.
My heart tells me this is the coming Pope!
I was skimming the internet and came across this: Cardinal Ivan Dias
Prefect, Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples
Experience as an archbishop, a Vatican diplomat, and long service as an official in the Roman Curia make this Indian prelate arguably the ideal papal candidate from the developing world. But his low profile (he almost never gives interviews) means he is little known, even in his native India. The 76-year-old has served at Vatican embassies in Scandinavia, Indonesia, and Madagascar, and is said to speak a dozen languages. He is responsible for maintaining the Church’s missionary activity around the world, and it is so important that he is known as the “Red Pope.”
Then I remembered that two summers ago when I sent one of our Priests from Montana to Fr. Gobbi's retreat in Italy, it was Cardinal Dias who called the Holy Father to inform him of the death of Fr. Gobbi. The Holy Father exclaimed, "Surely he must have gone straight to heaven!" Then Cardinal Dias went and got Fr. Gobbi's body and brought it to the retreat where OUR LADY'S PRIESTS, BISHOPS AND CARDINALS CLOSEST TO HER IMMACULATE HEART WERE TOGETHER -UNIFIED- TO VENERATE Fr. Gobbi's body on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Then he was taken and laid to rest in his hometown of Congo, Italy on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary! IT WAS CARDINAL DIAS WHO TOOK FR. GOBBI'S PLACE AND headed up the retreat that week. HE IS OUR LADY'S CARDINAL!! FORMED BY HER FOR THESE TIMES!
In a 2001 interview with the Italian magazine 30 Giorni, he said the Blessed Virgin Mary was important in his vocation and is a continuing influence in his faith.

"It was the Blessed Mother who attracted and seized me," he said. "Her image is even on my episcopal ring."
The cardinal said he learned his love for the liturgy from his family.

"As is the case with many Indian families, my mother took us to Mass every day. That is not unusual in India, because it is normal for a family to approach the Eucharist each day," he said.

He was ordained a priest in 1958 and worked at St. Stephen's Church in Mumbai for two years before going to Rome to study at the Vatican institute for diplomats. On completing his studies in 1964, he was appointed to the Vatican Secretariat of State.

Read again what our Lady and our Lord say about him....
An extract from Locutions to the World site dated Jan 1 2012. I have no idea how much credence to place in this but I offer it for your consideration:
This will be a complete surprise to the world and to the Church but not to the one upon whom the mantle falls. This is my chosen son, the one whom I have picked. I want all of this to happen in a startling manner so the world and the Church know that this one was chosen by heaven, by God and not by men. He will be prepared because I will have prepared him. He will be the pope of Fatima and bring to fruition all of the gifts of Fatima, just in time to prepare the Church and the world for the Satanic onslaught.

The Marian Movement of Priests above all things is dedicated to Fatima and wish to
    see the Fatima message fulfilled!

FROM LOCUTIONS.ORG--OUR LADY: I have chosen this son from among many. He is the child of my choice and I have guided him since childhood. I gave him devout Catholic parents and a devout home. As a child, he walked with me, not even understanding the special graces I was placing in his heart. His parents taught him a deep love for the rosary and even opened up to him the beginnings of devotion. You can see that he was always mine. Always I led and protected him, and he always cherished a special devotion to me. He was always marked by my seal. However, all that was contained in these seeds of devotion were hidden to him.
He always saw himself as one of many, and always tried to consider himself the least of all. Only as these years have gone by, has he realized who he was and what I had called him to be. Even now, he would gladly surrender these gifts to others, but I have not chosen another. He is well aware of that and knows that his ascending to the papacy in inevitable. Yet, he will make no move to promote himself and he will speak to no one about the revelations he has received. All is hidden in his heart, like treasures deeply buried. It is not for him to open these treasures or to decide the time and the circumstances. All remains in my hands. He remains in my hands and I will never let him go. When he is revealed to the world, all will see that these words are true. There is nothing more to be said at this time. Later, I will speak again as the time grows closer and those who would doubt will need yet another sign.

(from Wikipedia) In 2003, he delivered the homily at the beatificationMass of Mother Teresa, whom Dias had befriended during his tenure as a nuncio in Albania; he once said, “Reaching out to our fellow human beings, embracing the poor as Mother Teresa did, must become a common service for every Christian.”[4] Lamenting the domination of the world "by information technology, by New Age teaching and by the decline of ethical values," Dias once stated that entire countries are being "crushed down by godless ideologies and enticing proposals that exalt the anti-God cultures, including the culture of death."[5]
He was one of the Cardinals considered papabile at the 2005 Papal conclave that selected Pope Benedict XVI. TIME Magazine noted his "trong diplomatic experience" and said his election "would represent a bold choice from the developing world."[7]
On 20 May 2006, he was appointed Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, the top post overseeing the Catholic missions, a post whose holder was once known as the "Red Pope" due to the extent of his authority over the Church in mission lands.

    Anti-Christian violence

During his tenure as Archbishop, Dias frequently condemned anti-Christian discrimination in Indian society by Hindu fundamentalists. In December 2001, he invited leaders of all Bombay's religious communities to his home for "a meeting for peace in a world torn apart by war and hatred."[5] In 2002, he denounced pressures put by Indian authorities on Catholic schools, which have "had to put up with uncooperative and abusive public officials as well intimidation."
    [edit]

    Abortion and homosexuality

Dias also established himself as theologically conservative, strongly maintaining the Church's stances against abortion and homosexuality.[8][9] He claims that gays and lesbians can be "cured" of their "unnatural tendencies" through the Sacrament of Penance.[5]
    [edit]

Anglican communion During a speech he gave at the Lambeth Conference, his unequivocal language laid bare his disapproval of the chaos sweeping through the world's third biggest Christian denomination. He said: "When we live myopically in the fleeting present, oblivious of our past heritage and apostolic traditions, we could well be suffering from spiritual Alzheimer's. [...] or ecclesial Parkinson's".[10]

He is 76 years old. And he is dark enough to be called the 'black pope' by some people...
    excellent article about him---http://www.catholicnews.com/jpii/cardinals/0501844.htm

The conclave of cardinals will be in a dilemma:

If they pick an older Pope like Cardinal Arinze [aged 80] then there is a possibility he will die in Office before ex-Pope Cardinal Ratzinger.

They probably will not want a long Pontificate thus ruling out younger candidates.

They may want to go back to an Italian Pope but then the Church is strong numerically in the global south.

The Holy Spirit will be working overtime:)

That would be amazing but I think he is a future Pope since he has received the seal of the living God on his forehead.

    Abbot Werdin D'Orante (12th Century)
The great monarch and the great Pope will precede Antichrist. The nations will be at war for four years and a great part of the world will be destroyed. The Pope will go over the sea carrying the sign of Redemption on his forehead. The great Monarch will come to restore peace and the Pope will share in the victory.

    [Revelation 7]
{7:1} After these things, I saw four Angels standing above the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that they would not blow upon the earth, nor upon the sea, nor upon any tree.
{7:2} And I saw another Angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the Seal of the living God. And he cried out, in a great voice, to the four Angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,
{7:3} saying: “Do no harm to the earth, nor to the sea, nor to the trees, until we seal the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

I'd love to see my old Bishop in there, Burke. He was (is) so brave against society and politicians.

Thank you for the information about Cardinal Ivan Dias, Mothersuperior 7! You have so much information and thank you for sharing it. I hope they do elect Cardinal Dias. I think it would give the US press pause if they elect this Cardinal. I feel so bad that every time Pope Benedict XVI turns around to give a statement or answer questions, the Associated Press reporters would pounce on anything he would say and twist it and soon they would write their skewed stories to make him look bad and it would be all over the headlines and the internet. They really had their knives out for him all of the time. In my opinion, that probably made him very weary. (young 30-something reporters "interpreting" the thoughts and moods of our Pope who is 85!) If an Indian Cardinal becomes Pope, the reporters will have to be more careful in their attacks, so they are not perceived as being racist and this will be a new and added challenge for them. We already know the media hates Catholic doctrine because it is the truth. Maybe the thunderbolt was satan pouting that his power will be ending soon. We hope and pray. Happy Ash Wednesday to all of you and God Bless you.

I've been thinking more about this all day. I have sent off my writing to two priests and they thought it was very right on also. The fact that we are unfolding the SPRINGTIME OF HOPE, THE YEAR OF FAITH ETC. is great. Even the Medjugorje Visionaries are saying--ITS UNFOLDING--DON'T YOU SEE IT?? This NEW civilization of the MARIAN AGE. The Church is only going to get MORE CONSERVATIVE AND BACK TO BASICS! Cardinal Dias is just that kind of man. He is older, yes, but he has TOTALLY CONSECRATED his life to our Lady. He is virtually HEAD OF THE MARIAN MOVEMENT OF PRIESTS! He is the highest ranking cardinal there! Our lady has said, "These priests will fight the Anti-Christ, they will be my Army-- I HAVE FORMED THEM AND I WILL LEAD THEM! They will give their lives for Jesus Christ and the Church and be obedient to me!

As you read more about Cardinal Dias I think as Marian people you can see this too. His upbringing, his formation, his life of prayer, his desire for privacy, his hiddeness, his being a 'missionary' priest/bishop/cardinal in third world countries! ALL OF US WILL BE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY by the time the NWO gets done with us! This is a man who speaks 10 languages and is Portuguese (Fatima!) by heritage!!

He is brave, he is humble, he is been formed--just as Pope John Paul II was formed for his role.

He also knows the persecution that is coming. As the Church gets smaller, which it will, he will speak only WHAT OUR LADY DESIRES HIM TO SPEAK. The more he speaks the more crazy people will get because he will be teaching what the Church truly teaches. and the more people will pull away from the true Church, but others will flock to the truth.

    It's fun guessing.

I will guess myself. He will be an astonishing surprise and not even a member of the College of Cardinals. Perhaps not even a priest or Bishop but a layperson.:)

Lay people have been elected on three occasions in the past, the last being Pope Calixtus

Padraig, perhaps there will be two Popes, a real saint one and a fake one (the anti-christ)....That is what also the Australian of the Christmas vision thinks (A.C.). Could you please answer my question addressed to you on my thread "Christmas vision 2012" ?
    Thanks a lot.

    I just answered.

I was just praying and thinking about this thing of an antiPope this morning and it suddenly occured to me that we must be careful in what we say about an antiPope in case we encourage disloyality to a future true Pope.

On the other hand staying silent whilst an enemy within is creeping up on us would be wrong too.

Its hard to know what to do sometimes. o_O But yes I think there is a schism and antipope on the way; now with a Pope stepping down would be the perfect time for it to occur. We must be good Watchmen as scripture teaches.

    Ezekial 33

[6] And if the watchman see the sword coming, and sound not the trumpet: and the people look not to themselves, and the sword come, and cut off a soul from among them: he indeed is taken away in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at the hand of the watchman.

Oh that throws a grenade into the fire! Lordy--what a mess! If I were to humbly declare a saintly-marian Pope, I would choose Bishop David Ricken---Archbishop of Wisconsin. Truly a humble, kind, marian Bishop. He just approved the apparitions in Wisconsin within the last 5 years.[/quote]

Those of us (me) that follow Medjugorje know that for some reason March 18th will be a significant date. I wonder if March 18, 2013 will be "the significant date" because of the election of a new pope?

The following photo caption was taken from the Medjugorje.com website which had photos of Mirjana during the apparition on March 18, 2010

Mirjana is overcome with emotion at the end of Our Lady’s apparition, March 18, 2010. Today is Mirjana’s 45th birthday. It is important to understand that Mirjana does not receive the apparition on March 18th because it is her birthday, but rather because Our Lady told Mirjana this day holds a great significance because of a future event that will happen on that day, that we cannot know at this time. Give Mirjana a birthday gift of your prayers today. She carries a very heavy burden in knowing what awaits those who remain closed to Our Lady’s call. All the visionaries should be remembered in our prayers.
