Virus No Respector of Personages.

Discussion in 'The Signs of the Times' started by Julia, Mar 24, 2020.

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Surely this virus is an act of Mercy for us who feel helpless at the hands of the Government and at the hands of the Hierarchy. For this virus is no respecter of personages.

It is surely the Justice of God in action that all are equally put to the test no matter how high or how low.

I honestly believe if those who lord it over us were able to keep themselves safe, the rest of us could rot in the gutter, without mercy or justice. This is a wake up call for all, high and low.

I hope the Church will learn a lesson from this. Trust in God not man. Two thousand years of learning to do things Gods way has not sunk in, and some want to criticise Blessed Mother for repeating the same message. Pray, fast, repent. She has to do this because we are stupid. Those who brag about their high degrees in Theology are just as stupid as those who are illiterate, otherwise why have they not connected the dots.

How wise is Jesus when He calls us sheep. Sheep are known for being stupid. God is known for being just and merciful. Blessed Mother is known for trying to wake up her sleepy, lazy children to keep watch and pray.

You nailed it with your analysis. Everyone is at risk....and Our lady has been warning us for a merciful amount of time.
The sheep are asleep...this may be one of the last merciful wake up calls. However, my fear is that the warning Our Lady has been repeating will be ignored...until the heavens unleashes even worse wake up calls...dreadful thought they may be. Dear God, give us the grace to remain faithful...no matter the consequences.

    My husband has COPD
    I am diabetic
My only daughter a home care nurse with 3 little boys is in the midst of this
She told us not to go out.
She has so much reading when she gets home in the evening about the virus
I am begging for prayers for us all and for you all as well.
Let’s pray much for each other.

I have a little picture of Blessed Mother and on it, it says. "If you knew how much I love you, you would weep for joy." With that in mind remember nobody could ever outdo our Heavenly Father in generosity, so consider if you can how much God loves us unconditionally, and all your fears and worries will disappear.

My family are very much in the same boat healthwise as you mention in your post. Let us trust God to take care of us, and I am convinced He will especially on account of the wolves in sheeps clothing who have desserted the flock in this crisis. God our faithful Father will not desert us, He will don His garb and come to our rescue, and may He have mercy on those He empowered and authorised to protect and defend His flock; but how many ran for cover when the storm came. Pray for our Bishops and Priests, their immortal souls are in peril and they will take many, many souls to hell with them, if God can not wake them up in time.

Indeed Beth B, I have contemplated for many years how it would be, if people did not listen to the calls from Heaven. Indeed we have had Sacred Scripture read to us in the vernacular since the Second Vatican Council, so we can't say we did not hear Gods messages to us in our own language, in the Gospel.

For my part, I have prayed and asked our Loving God to give me the Grace to suffer, without pointing a finger, the consequences of His inevitable righteous indignation along with those who have turned their back on Him. I always knew when God chastises, He does not rapture those who strive to stay faithful. We all suffer together, saints and sinners alike. Our job as servants of the Lord is to unite our share of suffering with the sufferings of Jesus for our own salvation along with the salvation of the lost. It is in Jesus our sufferings are sanctified, we are not capable of sanctifying anything. We are striving to be 'the Salt of the Earth.'

Suffer we will. But it is within our power to make Holy and acceptable to God, our share of suffering by offering our daily lives to Jesus through Mary, thereby making up for what is lacking in the Mystical Body of Christ. Free will is a powerful tool, so if suffering is not sanctified by our free will and consent (offered/united to Jesus), it is useless and in vain.

So let us soldier on. We can hold our heads high so long as we keep our eyes focused on Jesus and all He has done for us, is doing for us and always will do for us.

    Thank you Julia,
I really needed to read this today. I’ve been offering up serious suffering....being reminded that this is voluntary and efficacious, a daily reminder to do it with grace...regardless... needs a boost sometimes. You did that for me today. Thank you!

Praying Rory. You have a very tough situation. God bless your daughter. She is on the front lines. I'm sorry to hear about COPD and diabetes. That does make you high risk. We are as well plus our ages. May God grant us all the strength and perseverence we need.

    Prayers tonight.

A couple of weeks ago in the early morning I was coming down a lift in the hospital when two sisters got on board one in a dressing gown, a patient.

    Jokingly one of them said,

'I hope you were not on the virus ward!' and laughed nervously.

Stupidly and without thinking I told them I had just left the virus ward. Off course they both looked alarmed. I reassured them by telling them I had just popped in and out and had not gone in too deep.

One sister told me she was just recovering from serious surgery, the other told me she serious issues with her immune system. I understood at once if they caught the bug it might be unlikely that either would survive.

    Sobering.

But I am paying attention to some of the famous people who get hit by the virus. It will not be totally random. The Angel has unsheathed the Sword of Justice.. It may appear random, but the Angel of Justice knows what he is about.

He will not place the bloody sword back in the scabbard till he has exacted retribution.

People are about to rediscover something that they have long , long forgotten.

    That God is not Mocked.

    That He is indeed Merciful.

But that He is also Just.

    Genesis 18:23-25

Then Abraham drew near and said, “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”

Men will surrender to the spirit of the age. They will say that if they had lived in our day, faith would be simple and easy. But in their day, they will say, things are complex; the Church must be brought up to date and made meaningful to the day's problems. When the Church and the world are one, then those days are at hand. St. Anthony the Great
