I am starting to think that this hunting season for me was fruitful for a reason. I have not been successful in filling the freezer with venison for many years but this year got plenty of meat that will feed my family and possibly friends for a very long time. I also can't help but think back to many years ago reading about the cure for a global plague from a mystic that spoke of making tea from the leaves of the Hawthorn tree. I have been collecting those leaves for some time as well has other prepping items like water filters, small camping stoves that burn using just wood and many other things. Will need to get some can food items as well as medicine but feel pretty good right now if this truly gets much worse and need to be quarantined for some time. That's how I imagined the time before the warning. Here in Germany more and more people are realizing that it might be better to prepare for the virus, for a possible shutdown of daily life and closed areas like it already is in Italy and elsewhere. Today there were as many people in the supermarket as we have never seen before. So far, almost only foreign media have reported on the expected new wave of refugees. The people here don't know anything about it yet. Also many do not yet know that the situation between Turkey and Russia is getting worse. You don't hear much about it in the mainstream media. The virus, economy collapses and a military conflict within a short time and many are torn from their everyday lives and will think - What's going on here –> chaos. So a vaccine is on the way... From Galilee. I am reminded of the terror attacks of 9-11. People flocked to churches. Eventually many drifted back into indifference to God. But some were converted. God allows his warnings to be accepted or ignored. The preparation He asks is not masks for protection and food for endurance but Confession for protection and the Eucharist for endurance. The warnings will likely intensify until the Great Warning smacks us right in the face. God is so merciful. Are we, His most beloved children who have access to, and knowledge of His greatest gifts and remidies listening or wringing our hands?
